One Corey Ferraez blamed Jackson Jambalaya for the alleged closing of his bank account when he appeared before Perry County Chancellor on July 14.
The Hattiesburg attorney represented Sylvia Weatherford in a wrongful death lawsuit after her husband died in an automobile accident. The insurance company paid $450,000 to Ferraez and settled the case. However, the lawyer inexplicably did not turn over any funds to his client, forcing her to take out high-interest pre-settlement loans. Ferraez repeatedly blew off hearings until Chancellor Sheila Smallwood ordered them to appear at a show-cause hearing and deposit $450,000 with the Court.
Ferraez ignored the hearing so Judge Smallwood ordered his incarceration on June 16. Ferraez was a fugitive until a week ago when he surrendered on July 14 and appeared before the Pine Chancellor. While on the lam, he deposited $215,000 with the Court, claiming he took out his attorney's fees.
Judge Smallwood destroyed Ferraez from the bench as she tore apart lie after lie. She asked Ferraez to deposit the remaining $195,168 with the Court. The attorney said he could not access his account after the bank closed it due to media scrutiny. Watch for yourself (Apologies for the poor sound quality. "My dog ate my check" has been replaced with "It's Kingfish's fault."
He needs to look in the mirror
The boy has some problem(s).
just admit that it was your fault. You are not a journalist. you are an incompetent gossip blogger and failed wannabe jurist/ You screwed up when you didnt redact the account numbers. It was most likely an intentional attack/doxx on Corey. You are so selective with your doxxing but you have no problem with it when you have a hate-boner for someone.
Isn't the check part of the public court record? It was a mistake to post the account number and routing order but if I were a judge, I'd call it harmless error.
The check wasn't redacted in MEC (the electronic court filing system), so it was made public record. Shame on the chancery clerk for not following the MEC Administrative Procedure rules that require account numbers be redacted. Regardless, a copy of the unredacted check is still on MEC for the world to see as I write this. All Kingfish did was post a copy something he got from MEC. I can't imagine the bank freezing an account because of this. Regardless, there are steps Ferraez could have taken to get access to the money. Additionally, there is the small matter of the account records that it looks like were provided to the Court. Those are sealed on MEC, but it sure looks like the Judge would have known the account balance when she was questioning Ferraez.
the check may be a matter of public record but the public has to identify themselves to get access. whether it be in person or using an only system like PACER (which KF uses to doxx his victims) so by posting it on his hate-fueled gossip blog, KF has victimized Corey and made him a target of JJ’s frothing army of purpetual jealousy.
The error was made by whomever filed a check in MEC without first redacting it. That is a violation of the MEC redaction rules.
He didn't even bother to stand to address the court. It's like he has no clue how to act.
... hate-fueled gossip blog ...
Your stalker woody is a health hazard. Get some mental help.
Of course he never cited any examples of how this is a gossip blog.
Can citizens sue the Mississippi Bar association for letting these villains run amok? What a worthless organization representing a parasite profession.
You can bet it wasn't frozen at the request of the MS Bar !!
Calm down Corey.
Exactly - and "hate" or not....it's all protected free speech.
Why don't you find out for us?
The Bar cannot be sued for its failures here or anywhere else because the Mississippi Supreme Court thought it was a good idea to provide the Bar with immunity from liability. Seems to be working out very well for the citizens of the state of Mississippi, especially the victims in these cases.
And here you are "purpetuating" the hate by inviting more activity to the comments of the article. Sooo...backfire? It's not like KF went through Corey's trash to get the image of the check.
Judge told him to stay seated so he could speak into microphone.
"the Mississippi Supreme Court thought it was a good idea to provide the Bar with immunity from liability"
The Bar was created by the legislature, so it's covered by sovereign immunity. The Bar was not granted immunity by the Ms. Supreme Court.
Some unhinged individuals walk amongst us…
He never accused you of getting his account frozen. That was HP that he accused of doing that. Stop looking for attention.
He has self-concept issues stemming from really small hands (take a look) which establishes a correlation with other body parts all of which translates to inappropriate behavior.
I dealt with that in the post.
