Never mind IAEA reported in May Iran was only a few weeks away from getting nukes after it reached the key threshold of 60% enriched uranium. Never mind Iran killed 241 Marines in Beirut or hundreds of our soldiers in Iraq. Never mind Iran has been capturing and/or killing Americans for decades. Never mind Presidents Obama (Libya) and Clinton (Kosovo) bombed other countries who were NOT a threat to America as a nuclear Iran would be. Never mind the Ayatollahs shrieked "Death to America" for years while calling us "the Great Satan." Never mind Biden's Justice Department discovered an Iranian plot to kill President Trump and prosecuted the case.
Nope, none of that matters to the Black Supremacist from Bolton. The man who supported killing cops in his younger days. The President may initiate military action without a declaration of war from Congress and w/out their permission, and is only required to give notice to Congress within 48 hours after such action has been taken. Commander in Chief authority is given by the Constitution and is not entirely subservient to Congress.
