An older video of Kenneth I. Stokes taunting the Mayor during a June 6, 2023 meeting of the Jackson City Council is making the rounds on social media. Given how things played out in Jackson last week, it's kind of funny.
The full video is is available here. Start at 45:00.

I miss seeing him so things like this!
I guess now we do know the mayor's relationship to the DA "I buy drugs" dope boy.
stokes... the last man standing........
I watched entire video and Stokes questioned the Harvard fellow coming from the "Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative" who would report to a newly created position who would report to the mayor. Perused this initiative to find: https://cityleadership.harvard.edu/resources/collection/more-than-a-contract-black-self-determination-and-peoples-assemblies-in-jackson-mississippi/
What's funny is it's Kenneth Stokes who many of us remember before he realized being a Republican would be more lucrative. He's the picture postcard of " convenient ethics".
Stoke is big fat liar
Well, we now know wh invited the FBI in on the brother! Now time to QUIT SMOKING THAT DOPE MAYOR. I wonder how he is sleeping at night....
@ November 15, 2024 at 10:07 AM - Nice find. Good thing that Jackson has the savior Lamumba at the helm, eh?
Ahem. Are those of you discussing, "More than a Contract: Black Self-Determination and People’s Assemblies in Jackson, Mississippi" (Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung), suggesting that a case study written by such self-important academics as Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung not only didn't age well, but also suggesting that Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung might not know what in the high-unholy-fuck they are talking about?
"Facing snowballing crises, hostile city council members, and persistent corruption, could Omari help Antar Lumumba realize the promise of a city government that was effective, accountable, and representative of the kind of “radical” values Jackson legends like Medgar Evers, Fannie Lou Hamer, and the late Mayor Lumumba had embodied and espoused?"
Well, here's a hint to Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung: When your Goddamned hero is caught on FBI video tape engaging in "persistent corruption," and then indicted for said "persistent corruption," it cannot be "effective." I'll leave it to each reader to decide whose values his conduct represents, "radical" or otherwise.
In closing (and as a direct comment to Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung), here's my take: Socialism is a great and truly wonderful idea for a system of governing...as long as no idiot ever attempts to actually use it for governing. As we told our kids when they were in college, it is pretty damned easy to be a socialist when your parents are paying for everything. And as PJ O'Rourke once said, "If you aren't a liberal at 20 you have no heart and if you aren't a conservative by 30, you have no brains." Clearly, Gaylen W. Moore, LaChaun J. Banks, Hollie Russon Gilman, Jorrit de Jong, Archon Fung fall into the latter category. Mr. Bloomberg, you may have pissed your money away.
2:33…What?
Encore, encore.
Bless his heart. Just saying the truth. Thief! Theif! Looking right at him, Lumumba just staring down at the desk. Bless Kenny Stokes. Been telling the truth for a long time.
