27.25 Years for McAlpin

U.S. District Judge Tom Lee just sentenced Brett McAlpin to serve 327 months in prison for his role in the torturing of Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker on January 24, 2023 in Braxton.   McAlpin was Chief of Investigations at the Rankin County Sheriff's Office.  More information to follow.  327 months translates to 27 years and 3 months.

When McAlpin was an investigator with Rankin County, when he arrested someone, he would always tell them; "KISS YOUR LOVES ONES BEY BYE CAUSE YOU GOING AWAY FOR A LONG TIME"!!! I wonder if he thought about that while sitting in that jail cell!!!!!

Douchebag deserves more.

It's going to be very difficult for these ex-cops in prison. Good riddance to all of them.

Anonymous said...

He deserves every single day and more for every thing he’s been involved with at the SO. And he was Baileys pick to be Chief Investigator.

Anonymous said...

Well earned…

Anonymous said...

Because their chief investigator was involved there is no way that Sheriff Bailey was not in the loop.

Folks is selling drugs today in rankin county for celebration of this goon

I cannot imagine how many innocent people were intimidated into confessions or arrested on BS charges.
They have ruined so many lives in arrogance, and I do not trust a single LEO in Rankin anymore.
Way to ruin our ability to back the blue. I hope they rot in prison.

Way too much. He pled guilty to get 8 years not this. And no news outlet has said who it was that called the cops.

Anonymous said...

@12:12 PM - He will likely be placed in a PCU (Protective Custody Unit) with other former disgraced cops, politicians, etc.

Remember Sheriff Bailey awarded Brett "TOP COP"..... favoritism AT ITS FINEST

Anonymous said...

@1:00 That's your opinion, Ms McAlpin. Hope he serves every single day !

1:00 the person who called the cops was the lady who owned the house and rented it to the lady who was hanging out with the two who were abused. I do know these facts. The house is not far from McAlpin's personal home. The lady who owned the rental house had had enough with what was going on there and called McAlpin the deal with the situation.

Now, I do not agree with what all happened here. I am all for these guys getting their punishments. It's horrible, despicable, and downright awful. They are all sick, twisted individuals and no matter the circumstance this is no way to handle any situation. However, for Shabazz and the defendant's to act like these guys were church choir boys who were helping their elderly disabled friend is a little disingenuous. The word from that part of the world was the lady was doing some ill repute stuff for some stuff. It had the reputation as a drug house and a w**** house for a long time. It's not the first time McAlpin has broken the party up since he lived close and was friends with the landlord of the home.

Was the recommendation or guideline range lower than what he received? Curious conspiracy theorists want to know....I could see a 53yo looking at a minimum of 20 years saying he won't give up his buddy, the Sheriff. Obviously, he could have given up Bailey and Bailey could already be cooperating...may be why he hasn't stepped down...gotta keep up appearances to set the hooks. Bet some folks in Rankin is skeeeeeerrTTTT!!!!

Wes Shivers for Sheriff

Why has the AG's office not filed to recuse Judge Ratcliffe? I mean he did sign off on their warrants, hear confessions from ppl they arrested, take their testimony in many cases, talk to these Goons regularly (at least Brett); suffice it to say, they aren't strangers.....AND a recusal will ensure the Rankin County Good 'Ol Boy system doesn't grace these Goons with a concurrent sentence.

The AG's office should at least attempt to recuse Judge Ratcliffe, why this Attorney Wall lady didn't file for that already is anyone's guess.

Rankin county is now without any protection by the law or any protection from the law. If we live in a city we can call the local law but those outside of the city limits are on their own. We have the highest paid sheriff in Mississippi and no one would trust him anywhere near their home. We would rather have the thieves and crooks in our driveway than the sheriff.

Karma is a big ole bi***. This POS beat my 5'1" 120lb daughter while she was handcuffed and dragged her through broken glass. Her mugshot shows her face swollen and bruised. Not one officer at that jail questioned her injuries or cared. She was "just a drug addict, after all". I hope this evil man dies in prison. By the way, my daughter is still in prison to this day over a trumped up charge. There are so many people incarcerated due to planted evidence by him and the others and they are all celebrating this day that this POS will likely spend the rest of his life locked up.

One less PERS retiree we have to pay for!

If Bailey was completely innocent in all of this ( he isn’t ) he would have been front row at the federal courthouse for the pass three days !

I don’t care who you are….thats funny!

Hopefully the days of RCSO pulling over teenagers and cavity searching them on the side of the road are over. Unfortunately, Bailey is still in there so I doubt much will change. Policing in MS has major issues. We may see a little improvement in Rankin County now that others see what can happen when they terrorize the citizens. Now the accountability needs to shift to MHP, we have seen multiple instances of officers violating the constitutional rights of citizens on tape with zero consequences. Now they are brazenly gaslighting the public with social media posts that clearly indicate they are willing to test the 4th amendment into territory that greatly exceeds the limits set by SCOTUS. It’s a matter of time until we have another goon squad situation at the state level.

I will go to my grave believing that the Sheriff knew every move made by the goon squad. He was too much of a micro-manager not to know. All he cared about is that he did no want to have to deal with it. That is evidenced by him refusing to take calls from those wanting to notify him of the abuse. I am waiting on the Feds to punch his ticket. He is not above the law.

I have 2 questions for any lawyers reading this

1) Are these sentences day per day or will they be eligible for parole in the future?

2) If or when state sentences are given, will they run concurrent with federal charges?

Anonymous said...

Note to DOJ: now do Madison County next. MCSO is not altogether different than RCSO, just in a more affluent zip code. I wonder if MCSO still uses the unmonitored room at the jail to administer discipline at the hands of their own goon squad who dress in all black? When they walk in, you know some unlucky inmate is about to get their ass beat. Some area municipal departments aren’t exactly guardians of the Constitution either. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for constitutional law and order, but don’t ask me to just back the blue in general. Such a blanket pledge of support sadly covers too many, like the Goon Squad, who have neither earned nor deserve support and respect just for wearing the uniform.

Wes Shivers is not much better.

At 5:04. You got that right!

Anonymous said...

Ivana for Rankin County Sheriff!

Anonymous said...

When or are we getting a break down of hartfield and mcalpin on what happened in the court room?

Anonymous said...

I don’t understand why these sentences are longer than most murder sentences.

Anonymous said...

8:52 AM, it might be because many more people are the victims of the thugs. We do not know how long the goon squad have been doing the things they did. We don't know how many people that are in prison because of the lies told by the goon squad. We do not know how many people were victims of the goon squad and have never let it be known.

Anonymous said...

Most people murder someone for a reason. These thugs did it for fun under the color of the law . They all should have received more time including life in at least 2 cases.

Anonymous said...

@11:53 idiotic statement. We know exactly which ones the sentences were carried out for. They've looked, there are no more. You peeps just spout shit for no reason at all.

How many other people did these deputies plant drugs on? How many other deputies carry drugs to plant on people? I get a very anxious feeling now every time I see a Rankin Co. deputy vehicle. Are all of these deputies other arrests being investigated? If not, why? “ When the law breaks the law, there is no law.” When you can’t trust law enforcement to help when needed, it leaves the citizens hesitant to call for help, instead we must protect ourselves, and now know we must protect ourselves from law enforcement. The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department must be investigated completely. How many other deputies knew of these things and said nothing? I really hope someone will make a movie about this”Rankin County Burning”, as this will not be” put behind us” as Sheriff Bailey had said.

Not true
Assuming one of the goons is your family member?

Anonymous said...

1:45 PM, you are probably one of those people who believe the goon squad would not lie to put someone in jail? What do you think this is all about? You can read why the goonies are now behind bars. Do you actually think this was the first time they pulled something like this? I do hope you are not allowed to vote.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
