Let the Propaganda Begin

The Order of the Sisters of Rukia is at it again......

 Director Dee Brown's Statement

In Death at the Faucet: The Untold Story, we shine a spotlight on the dire water crisis plaguing Jackson, Mississippi – a city deeply rooted in history, with a troubled past and a resilient spirit. The film dives deep into the heart of this modern-day struggle for justice, as residents battle not only for their civil rights but also for their most basic necessity of life: water.

On that fateful day, August 29th, 2022, Jackson's residents woke up to an unthinkable reality – a city-wide failure that left taps dry. And to add insult to injury, the water that did manage to trickle through the pipes was tainted, undrinkable, and harmful. It became painfully clear that this wasn't an isolated incident; it was a recurring nightmare that the community had long endured.

As we embarked on this documentary journey, our goal was not only to unveil the layers of this crisis but also to shed light on the systemic issues that have perpetuated the city's water woes. We wanted to give a voice to the stories that often go unheard – the stories of everyday people living with the consequences of a failing water system.

Beyond the crumbling underground infrastructure, we discovered a complex tapestry of economic disparities, political gridlock, and environmental challenges that have interwoven themselves into the fabric of Jackson's troubles. Our film explores the harsh realities faced by communities who have been disproportionately affected by this crisis, calling attention to the injustices and inequities that amplify their suffering.

Through intimate interviews with residents and community leaders we peel back the layers, exposing the root causes and examining the disturbing truths that led to this state of emergency. It is a journey that reveals the relentless resilience of a community that refuses to be silenced, fighting for their right to clean, safe, and accessible water.

As a filmmaker, my aim is to not only inform and educate but also to spark conversations and ultimately inspire positive change. Death at the Faucet: The Untold Story serves as a wake-up call, reminding us of the urgent need for long-lasting solutions to water crises that persist in communities across the nation.

Through this documentary, we hope to ignite a passion for justice, empowering viewers to question the systems that have allowed this crisis to fester and to advocate for equitable access to clean water for all. By amplifying the voices of those affected and exposing the injustices they endure, we stand together in the fight for a better future.

Join us on this journey as we uncover the untold story behind the water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi, and together, let's bring about tangible change for our fellow citizens.

Save your money paying for this film as we all know it's the white mans fault.

It's woke enough to receive an Academy Award nomination.

The "tangible change" they clamor for has already come about, in the form of a court-ordered receivership.

"A city deeply rooted in history"...

Show me a city NOT rooted in history.

Rukia and Chock II are also rooted in history, although not all that deeply.

When g’maw slips down with them big ass trash cans, is she going to have a film titled “Death in the Driveway- A story about contract steering, racketeering, & incompetence”? With an encore focused on systemic issues that lead to car jackings and armed robbery?

Anonymous said...

Damn Chokwe is portly.

Anonymous said...

A better title for the documentary would be “ Death by Democrats”….

Anonymous said...

Showing in Ridgeland because there’s only one screen in the city of Jackson. Nuff said.

Isn’t it strange that the water maintenance has not been a major priority for the past 27 years? Kane Ditto was the last good mayor we had. You do the math and the probability of what went wrong and I’ll sit back and see if you think the same way that I do and many in NE jackson think. Sometimes the truth hurts baby.

Anonymous said...

I would say this is unbelievable, but in fact, it's SO expected. The participants in this "documentary" ARE aware that all of the troubles mentioned in the above description occurred during / were created by the current administration, right? Also, although I haven't seen this fine piece of work, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess they didn't mention that nothing was resolved with the water problems until the current administration was pushed aside and some adults (the State government and the federal court system) came in to remedy the problems.....at VASTLY less money and in a fraction of the time estimated by this same inept current administration!

Yep, same democrat plays out of the democrat/communist playbook: create a crisis yourself, then step up and tell your constituents you're the only one who can save them from the crisis (or, in this case, make sure your constituents believe they're victims of a crisis created by someone OTHER than you. Frequent use of the term "systemic" is helpful in doing that.)

I saw someone that looked a lot like the mayor. It couldn't have been him, he didn't have his bullet proof vest on or the crowd of body guards.

Anonymous said...

"to shed light on the systemic issues that have perpetuated the city's water woes"

So I guess this will be a story of former-mayor Harvey Johnson's (whose brother is the current head of the NAACP) corrupt Siemens deal, fights for control of government contracts by current-mayor Lumumba, managerial incompetence, staffing failures, failure to order repair parts, lies from the Mayor to save face, and . . . oh screw it. We all know this is gonna be complete bullshit.

Anyone who wants to know the real story can read the orders from the (black) federal district judge who is overseeing the water system receivership. Then read the reporting on this blog, which is heavily attributed to verifiable sources.

Anonymous said...

Why don’t you racist mouth breathers debunk the film with actual proof instead of personal attacks against the Lumumbas?

Anonymous said...

R they’d passing the offering plate at the show?

Anonymous said...

We need to hit Ted & Wingate up with a movie. Casting tryouts for actors wanting to portray them will be in the hundreds! Lot of cigars, fine food, drinks. More info coming soon! Lol

9:43pm Sister Rukia is in the house!

Please, read this Rukia. The fact is that white people don’t give a damn what color skin the mayor, or city council, has. They want an honest, competent, capable person who surrounds himself with honest, competent, capable people who can manage the basic functions of a city. The Lumumba administration is the definition of gross incompetence & willful indifference. Pointing that out is not bigoted, it is fact. If the mayor is a poser, he’s a poser. It doesn’t matter what ethnicity he may be.

Pointing out that this film is political propaganda intended to shift blame away from an incompetent administration & incite political sympathy from your voting base is not bigotry. Blaming white people for all of your problems is, however.

Municipalities and utilities run by competent people do not have problems to the degree Jackson does. In fact, there are many municipalities and utilities with smaller tax bases & run by less than ideally qualified people, including ethnic minorities, that don’t have the same degree of problems.

Since you asked, it has been shown that Jackson received money every time it was requested. It has been shown that Jackson didn’t have enough personnel to run the water system & the ones they did have were unqualified. It has been shown that Jackson had not even posted notice of job openings for qualified operators. It has been shown that Jackson did not have supplies to run the plant properly even if they had people who knew how to do so. It has been shown that the water treatment plant was neglected and in dire need of maintenance. It is a fact that everyone knew the entire system had issues & needed attention when your brother was elected. He still has done nothing except take credit for, or attack, the efforts of others who have stepped in to rectify the situation & he looks like the damn feckless, idiot he is whenever he does so.

“Jackson residents woke up to an unthinkable reality”

It was actually thinkable.

And preventable-had any thinking been done. Ultimately the EPA had to think. As did Wingate. As did the state legislature. All to circumvent the thoughtless mayor who does not think.

We need thinkable leadership in Jackson.

Just my thoughts

As I have been saying for several years, the comment at 9:43 is living proof that this blog is being monitored by certain people. Now, if those who are monitoring this site are worried about what is being said in a free society then they should take a long look in the mirror and see why our attitudes toward the leadership of this city that at one time was a great city. It cannot be called great anymore. It has withered and died on the vine due to a blight caused by the true mouth breathers.

Anonymous said...

9:43, there is nothing racist about pointing out the incompetence and corruption of the Lumumba administration. The racism is in defending the administration. The people harmed most are, in fact, low income black residents of Jackson. They aren’t being harmed by supposedly white racists, but by a corrupt, incompetent mayor and his minions. Charges of racism are simply a cover for incompetence and corruption. Period.

Thank you 4:35, for saving me a lot of typing. I live in Jackson. I've had to deal with the lack of water, lack of trash pickup, and so many other issues caused by this mayor.

The worst part isn't the incompetence, it's his indifference to suffering. It's my opinion that he PURPOSEFULLY caused the water system collapse in order to get federal funds for grifting. He first tried through wildly exaggerated claims of lead contamination. When that didn't work, he just stopped funding, staffing, and supplying the system - and waited.

We saw the indifference when he allowed us to go with no trash pickup to force the council to approve his crony contractor. Now he's frustrated that he can't get his sticky fingers on all those federal water system funds.

Now he's realized he is NOT a rising star in the democrat party, and the party does NOT have a cushy position for him elsewhere. He's too obvious a failure, and a liability for them.

His only hope for future income is to be reelected, and he's desperately trying to rewrite history to make that happen.

Shame on everyone involved with this work of fiction! How much money was promised to you in return? We're sick of the lies. You are everything you profess to hate!! Shame on you!!

Does anyone remember that the Lumumba administration estimated it would take $1 billion to repair Jackson’s water system to operational status, yet when the state of Mississippi realized the city of Jackson was going to do nothing to repair the system for its residents, the state stepped in and got it fixed in about 10 days for approximately $2 million?

5:00 PM good point. Judge Wingate is a public servant with high moral character, an extreeeeme rarity these days.

6:20 PM, Kane Ditto was Jackson’s first DEI mayor (before those letters had the definition). Ditto stated on camera in front of local news crews that the next police JPD chief would be “black,” which likely would have been absolutely fine had he left the interim chief in place, but instead, Ditto brought in an outsider Alinsky type that devasted the Jackson Police Department with the chaos leftist Democrats use to take over, then keep control of cities for decades (for verification ask a former JPD’er or State AG LEO from that time period).

Of course they crying racism excuses when folks run for safety in the burbs (including the rich white elitist Democrats that hide behind gates, or even worse, live in the burbs themselves) while the city they took over that someone else built for them crumbles (for an example refer to 9:43 PM).

Death at the faucet. Hmmmmmm. Thorough grammar in this statement.

Wonder who helped him with the spelling. Someone had to because otherwise, it's chock fulla' bullshit. Who'd a thunk that location of the water plants and geographic layout of the pipes from lower to higher ground causing differences in water availability would be racist.

Only in LumumbaLand. Dipshits.

Kingfish said...

Not really. First he hired David Walker, who was a complete joke of a chief. Didn't he get his car repoed or something? I remember a news story about that. Got rid of Walker and brought in Jimmy Hollywood Wilson. Another joke. FINALLY he put in Robert Johnson, probably the best police chief Jackson since Ditto became Mayor.

The City of Jackson is dying to be the next Flint, or Baltimore, or East Palestine, or you name it. The City is like a toddler kicking and screaming on the floor and no one pays any attention because we all know the real problem is not the kicking and screaming.

Anonymous said...

The cost of producing this propaganda film, which Stalin and Marx would be proud of, was paid for by taxpayers. Prove that I'm wrong.

Anonymous said...

Jackson is a shining example of the constant pandering that is ruining our nation. Merit no longer has any value, it has been replaced by race, and God help us, invented gender ideology.
Competence is no longer required, just loud stringent wailing, a mastery of the racial blame game, and, of course, the correct skin tone.

I’m curious as to the location of some of the images in the preview. Specifically the latter half, after the 45 seconds promoting the producer. Any good producers removed himself from the product and let it speak for itself. Let the media promote you and the film. Reeks of self-promotion and a grift job (regardless of the producer’s agreement of the opinion being offered).

Anyone interested in handing out court and EPA’s orders at the movie theater (in Ridgeland no less)? It’d be a good time to educate the public of the number employees the city had to operate the water department.

Hysterically ironic title KF!!!!! All while your site is populated with propaganda about SB1245 (which landed in the middle of one of the blogs) and another about HB728. Keep up the good humor, but then they paid you for that propaganda to be on your site. No one paid you to advertise Rukia’s propaganda, you chose to use it for ridicule. Try the ridicule on those hypocrites lining your pockets.

Antar took a bad situation and made it irretrievably worse. The guy is a self entitled, self absorbed, self serving, immature racist jerk who could never make it in the private sector. Rukia is no better. Surely there is someone else in the black community who can run for mayor for all - not just to enrich him/herself.

Anonymous said...

I see the Southern Poverty Law Center is aspiring to improve its credibility by associating with Rukia Lumumba

This film will play well in San Francisco and New York. That's all that really counts otherwise the film would never be funded or made.

I also know that somehow they had to work in the word "Equitable" somewhere.

Jackson is lost, people just need to accept that fact. The voters in Jackson want the city to stay the way it is. Otherwise, THEY would change it. Jackson residents need to rejoice in their choice and stop thinking it will ever be different, embrace your mayor and company. Just remember, you wanted this.

Anonymous said...

Bottom line: "By any means necessary," right?

Anonymous said...

Ditto started all this left wing management of Jackson. All we now see began with him. Now that is a fact.

Anonymous said...

" No one paid you to advertise Rukia’s propaganda", and no one paid him to post your bullshit either, but he's a generous kind of guy.

2:25 P.M. Just quit. Voters do not want things to be bad just because the people they elect turn out to be idiots. Nobody runs a campaign promising to do stupid stuff and voters can only vote for the candidates who actually run. Sometime all the candidates are incompetent and you're just stuck. That's not too far-fetched, just look at our presidential elections.

Anonymous said...

"Death At The Faucet" sounds like a waterboarding torture gone "overboard".

Anonymous said...

Jackson will never rise to its former greatness until it hits rock bottom. That's a fact, Jack.

It needs another 3-5 years to accomplish that.

Anonymous said...

5:59, if you been alive for awhile, you know campaign promises are almost always lies. Who says we have to vote for incompetence? Look at the presidential election, it’s vote for me because the other guy is worse. You look at both candidates, do some thinking and see which one will benefit you. If you are voting for someone because the media says the other guy is Hitler 2.0, do the country a favor and don’t vote. America is used to political corruption, we vote it in all the time. Then we get frustrated because they are corrupt. Jackson, in the downward slide it’s on will put the Mayor back in office. It’s just what voters do.

Anonymous said...

You're right, if you don't want incompetence or corruption just don't vote. Otherwise you get Jackson. You sure don't want that.

John Galt said...

"Jackson will never rise to its former greatness until it hits rock bottom."

Hard to believe it could get any worse than it is. All city services a fiasco, schools at the bottom, tax base leaving, businesses shuttered, police force understaffed, judiciary blind, homicides abound, infrastructure in decay, and leadership inept.

A lot needs to be fixed before the city of Jackson is in a position to have ANY kind of renaissance.

Antar and Rukia weren't born in Jackson, and neither were their parents. Senior was born in Detroit, as I think were Junior and Sis, and I don't know much about Mrs. Taliaferro/Lumumba, other than neither she nor Senior were from Mississippi. I don't know anything about Senior's first family and Junior and Sis' half brothers beyond their existence. I've never heard anything, from reliable sources or even wild rumor, about either half brother being involved in anything - positive, negative, or neutral - in Jackson or Mississippi, or that either live in Jackson or Mississippi. Papa Doc said outright he supported, championed, and wanted to be involved in the nonsensical Republic of New Africa crap (i.e., I'm not making unsupported "accusations" of anything). Baby Doc wants to be HMFIC of...somewhere or something, and Sis wants...something. Senior, Junior, and Sis all went to decent schools, and then to college, and were not "poor" much less "poverty-stricken" as children (again, I don't know about their mother).

The point of mentioning that brief synopsis is to point out that the "Lumumba"/Taliaferro family ties to Jackson and Mississippi are entirely recent and wholly voluntary. At least in Senior's case, the sole tie originated in illegal and wildly improper purposes by someone who wanted to take things from people to which he had no connection whatsoever, and based upon skin color. A large white-power organization advocating confiscating all property from every black owner in the Midwest, and by violence if necessary, to form some nonsensical "Republic of New Europe" crap would have met some "resistance" by most folks of all skin tones. And if the leaders of that nonsense had rolled into Detroit and Chicago from Mississippi fomenting unrest and generally fucking up the infrastructure, they probably would not have liked the outcome. Even a Native American claim would be unreasonable, and even if having at least some broadly (but still ultimately untenable) historic basis for argument.

Mississippi has a racist past. Putting a "Does" in front and a question mark at the end is just stupid; there is and can be no serious or reasonable question about that fact. But swapping the transgressor and transgressed cannot "fix" history, all it can and will do is doom those engaging in such to repeat it. A change in perspective or POV does not alter the consequences of an event.

If we want a safe and viable water system, the prime qualifications are knowledge of and competent experience in water system operations. If we want "good" schools, knowledge and competence. Roads in reasonable repair, same. Low crime, same. Businesses coming and staying, same. There is no way to even torture "skin color" into being a sanely-suggestible "qualification" for ANY governmental/civic/industrial/business function or operation. It just doesn't work that way. It didn't work in 1859, it didn't work in 1959, it isn't working in 2024, it still won't work in 2059.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
