According to Yale University website, “Dr. Harvey Risch is Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine.” Also, “Dr. Risch is an author of more than 350 original peer-reviewed research publications in the medical literature and those research papers have been cited by other scientific publications more than 44,000 times. Dr. Risch has an h-index of 94 and is a Member of the Connecticut Academy of Sciences and Engineering.”
Sunday, October 24, in an interview on Fox News, Dr. Risch repeated what he has been saying since 2020: “There is no question those who have already had covid have no need to be vaccinated for public health.” He added, “More than 90 studies have shown that natural immunity is strong or stronger than vaccines.”
September 9, 2021, President Biden issued Executive Order 14042 requiring that “all federal contractors provide adequate COVID-19 safeguards for their workforce.” Furthermore, “On September 24, 2021, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force (SFWTF) issued written guidance which included a vaccination requirement for all covered contractor employees.” In other words SFWTF is NOT FOLLOWING THE SCIENCE.
Monday, October 25, the Board of Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning issued the following directive:
“In accordance with the federal vaccination mandate and this IHL Board Directive, all University employees (except for those employees who qualify for an exemption outlined below) must be fully vaccinated by December 8, 2021. This requirement extends to student workers, graduate assistants, part-time and intermittent workers.”
Those who have had Covid-19, have tested positive for antibodies, and have natural immunity from the virus are explicitly denied an exemption, and are mandated to take the vaccine. In other words Mississippi IHL is NOT FOLLOWING THE SCIENCE.
On Monday, October 25, 2021, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed Executive Order 724 to fight the federal vaccine mandate. In a statement she said, “This latest move by the federal government is what I believe is an illegal overreach, and I am confident we will win the battle in the courts.”
During the Fox News interview Dr. Risch said, “When you talk about first line treatment of people for respiratory illness, the front line doctors, the doctors who see patients when they walk into the office, they are the ones with experience in treating covid patients. For example, we know across the country, I surveyed telemedicine groups and large group practices, totals over 150,000 people who have been treated early as outpatients with hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and other medications, extremely successful, less than two dozen deaths out of that large number of people treated early. They (frontline doctors) are the ones with knowledge of how to treat patients.” Thousands of doctors around the world have agreed with Dr. Risch.
Then Dr. Risch dropped the scientific bomb saying, “If the number of deaths that have been reported around 700,000 Americans is an accurate account, we could have saved 80 or 85% at least of those by early, aggressive treatment.”
Why is the federal government mandating vaccines? Why are some states and institutions going along with the mandates? These mandates are not following the science and are not protecting the health of Americans. Science says, “we could have saved 80 or 85% at least of those by early, aggressive treatment.” Think about that!

I’m sure Daniel and the right would much rather the government required blood samples to prove immunity over a vaccine card. They wouldn’t complain about that at all. Dumbass Daniel dropping the iq of the state one article at a time.
Risch’s views are in the minority. The majority of scientists and doctors repeatedly have said that the duration of natural immunity to this virus is unknown. The immunity created by the vaccine is a known. So the better course is to vaccinate. The only reason there are mandates is because there are so many people stupid enough to refuse vaccination.
In 2020, Risch was called out by 24 other Yale School of Public Health doctors for promoting the use of the drug hydroxychloroquine — commonly used to treat malaria and rheumatoid arthritis — for people with active COVID infections.

“We write with grave concern that too many are being distracted by the ardent advocacy of our Yale colleague, Dr. Harvey Risch, to promote the assertion that hydroxychloroquine when given with antibiotics is effective in treating COVID-19, in particular as an early therapeutic intervention for the disease,” Yale doctors wrote in the Aug. 2020 open letter.
Risch is a cancer doctor. Last time I checked, COVID wasn’t cancer. Now I know y’all believe a lot of horseshit over on the right, but maybe you can see this?
8:20 - Did you intentionally defeat your own argument?
8:13 - Who in his right mind calls the winner of a horse raise when the animals have not yet even approached the first curve in the track?
The views of Jonas Salk were clearly in the minority. Oh...and the Wright brothers.
This guy quotes Fox News as his science source? Who does that this side of the Seventh grade?
The real problem is that this doesn't address the fact that vaccinating someone who has recovered from COVID-19 does no harm to the general population. The very rare few that would be susceptible to "heart inflammation" from the immune system response to any vaccine would have been even more susceptible to the immune response to the actual virus and subsequent disease. In simple terms, if you are susceptible to myocarditis and have the choice of vaccine or SARS-Cov-2 infection, you are clinically better off with the vaccine.
Trying to support snippets of scientific fact with subjective suppositions, out-of-context (mis)information, or worse, totally false information, is not "science," it is nonsense. For example, the claims that vaccines have harmed or even killed thousands (or tens of thousands) of people is patently and demonstrably false and cannot support an argument against vaccines, whether for the previously infected or not. Therefore, saying those who have have contracted COVID-19 should not be vaccinated is nonsense even if it is true that the likelihood is that the vaccination provides no immediate benefit to a particular person who had COVID-19 and is (clinically) "recovered."
That said, infections and diseases caused by viruses are not simple binary events in which every patient presents the same, from contraction to progression to outcome. In simple terms, one patient's "natural immunity" will not dictate what another patient's may or may not be and there are numerous factors that come into play. The "flu" vaccines are a good rough analogy - just because a person had "the flu" one year doesn't mean that they should never get a "flu" vaccine again nor does it mean that getting one will do any harm. Think of it like making an apple pie that requires 10 apples - having 12 apples wouldn't be a problem, and who knows, maybe one of the first 10 will be bad so having a cushion will be of benefit. If nothing else, you'll have the pie and a couple of healthier snacks.
Have you noticed how quickly now the trolls jump on any statement that doesn't comport with the official narrative? COVID treatment has never been about the science (except the mad science of Fauci) and the vaccine mandates aren't about COVID. They are about money, power, control and God knows what other objectives we'll find out about after it's too late. But the trolls will keep on trolling.
10:29 - Oh, I see. Just another leftist, tit-dependent, twat who immediately dismisses fact and truth because somebody told him to hate the source of the information.
That tactic has gotten as old (and, frankly, as ineffective) as screaming RACIST at everybody who disagrees with you. If all you got out of it was FOX FOX, you're a mental cripple.
UH...did Dr. Rosen get a chance to expound on how to tell if someone is "sufficiently immune" since obviously the level of immunity is the key?Or, are we just supposed to take the word of someone who believes they " had it" without being tested?
I'm perfectly ok with all the unvaccinated getting a test to prove their immune system functioned properly. I might at this point be willing to spend tax dollars better used elsewhere to placate you and stop the insanity.
But, I know too many at the outset who were "sure" they already had it and later got so sick they got tested . They had been mistaken.
I ain't taking your word for it! Nor do I for a minute believe most of you know whether your immune system is robust enough or not.
I'm also not ignoring that IF you had gotten vaccinated, we'd already have herd immunity.
Government has to be practical.
I have proof of vaccination and a booster. YOU unvaccinated folks get proof you have " sufficient anti-bodies". Getting vaccinated is free. Put your money and beliefs where you mouth is. Pay for, and I hope the available test can prove "sufficiency" and don't cost more than you can afford.
So frustrated that we would have achieved herd immunity by now if you " my way or highway" folks would have gotten the damn shot shot. The President you love ordered enough vaccines to accomplish that very thing.
So,not only have you killed over 300 thousand more American that didn't have to die and left others damaged, you added children to the death toll( 7000 when I last looked). You have reduced the workforce and now complain of supply problems because of your certainty that people over 60 and fat people were expendable and must not work. It also doesn't occur to you that those that do work and got vaccinated moved into better jobs that became available. They didn't have to haul boxes or wait tables anymore.
Now you want to turn one sentence that no one disagrees with that having CV19 increases your odds of immunity into your latest excuse. You ignore the 10% vs 5% difference and ignore that knowing for certain is harder and more expensive. You ignored in this piece ( and TV talking heads don't study enough in advance so didn't ask or connect the dots) that there's a difference in 95% and 90% and about how those tests were conducted in subjects that were certain to have had CV and were deliberately exposed to the virus.
If you are relying on news clips and UTube and podcasts for information, you don't even know the right questions to ask much less " support" your " beliefs". If you actually read a book or research study, you can usually tell if the interviewer of the author or researcher read the book or entire research or even comprehended what they read.
You are making important decision based on Cliff Notes and if you don't know what that is, look it up.
Just for once, it would be appropriate to remind everyone that there is a tremendous difference between "dying with Covid" and "dying from Covid". Per CDC statistics, when the "death toll" was at 600,000, only 5%, or 30,000 of those deaths were "from Covid". Without a doubt this is a serious matter, however until this past year, there really were more than 30,000 deaths "from the flu". I see no one raising hell about people not taking the flu shot; hell I know several well qualified physicians who choose not to take the flu shot. The politics and the news media need to be taken out of this conversation, and everyone should relax and act prudently.
"The politics and the news media need to be taken out of this conversation, and everyone should relax and act prudently."
Correct. After all, with the passage of a couple of weeks, we'll have rounded the barn and be headed downhill with this problem.
Thousands and thousands of years of humans gaining natural immunity from catching things undone by three EVIL people in 2 short years. Nary one of the three actually "do" science anymore and haven't in 20/25 years !! Fauci hasn't worn the lab coat since before the Reagan admin...the CDC director since college ! And that rat boy Collins ? 50 years ! This fellow is a practicing scientist and to me is credible. Much more so than the high paid agenda driven Bill Gates puppets.

@2:16 - I agree with your post. Elsewhere I told him to fuck off due to his radar. You were much more kind. He's nothing more than a frustrated wannabe assistant college professor who would love to kick students out of his class..or either fail them for their opinions and thoughts.
