1 May 2018 affidavit filed and arrest with an 8 April 2019 date when Bond and apparently action being sent to Grand Jury. Can't see in the article about indictment or no bill. Order does state No Contact with Victim. May very well have been an attempt on young Mr. Burns to intimidate, threaten or even apologize to the victim leading to his demise. Stranger things have happened. Wonder how deep the investigation will actually go.
Even if the suggested motive is accurate, it won't be found to be justifiable under our current system. In 1950 it would have been, yes. A lot of dads and uncles back then, as well as now, would have dealt with it accordingly. Including me. Moving right along...
If, and only if the shooter was the victim, it may be justified if she can articulate extreme fear from a confrontation. We also don't know if a weapon to be used against her was found on scene. Again, if that type of scenario.
So your opinion is that vigilante justice is equivalent to (and acceptable as) justifiable homicide?
Here’s a solution to Jackson’s murder rate: Just classify all murders as justified.
Problem solved.
Sounds like a repeat of the movie "Time To Kill". And the taxpayers just saved a bundle!!

Yep. Why do you ask? Vigilante justice is called justice for a reason, pal. It's swift and just. Behave and you'll not face it.
The victim has the same last name as the defendant. Draw your own conclusions.
Reminder: It still takes a jury to convict, regardless of whether the law says this particular homicide was justified.
