Wolfe Suspended Indefinitely

The Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure suspended indefinitely the license of Dr. Walter Wolfe.    Dr. Wolfe agreed to the suspension and avoided an evidentiary hearing.  Dr. Wolfe did not appear at the Board meeting this morning.  Board attorney Stan Ingram announced the consent order to the Board.  He can apply for reinstatement after one year under the statute.   Dr. Wolfe did not appear at the hearing.

The Board began investigating Dr. Wolfe in November.   The Board accused him of sexual assault and having sex with three patients.  The Mississippi Board of Medical Licensure suspended his license on July 10 after it determined he was an "immediate danger to the public."

Dr. Wolfe attempts to stop the investigation in court ended in futility.   He asked a Hinds County Chancellor to quash all subpoenas and halt the investigation.  Dr. Wolfe argued in an earlier court filing that the Board had no right to investigate the patient's history without a complaint.   The Canton physician asked the court to reinstate his license and issue a temporary restraining order against the Board.  Chancellor Tiffany Grove ruled against his various motions.

Big, bad Wolfe and his yapping lapdog lawyer. Lots of bark and no bite. Wave bye bye.

Gee, I wonder why he didn't want an evidenciary hearing? This put the skeletons back in his closet.

9:32 is a moron. Despite the actions of his client, the attorney handled this as well as it could have been handled.

In some ways a small victory. He is suspended, but not revoked. There is a big difference.

he will seek to be licensed in another state or territory and never return to ms

I don’t think this is over, read the complaints from his lawyers in the motion. One of the so called victims is lying. There are text messages that were posted on Facebook in December from this victim that claims if he didn’t have an affair with her and give her a baby like the baby the was fathered with a patient who is indeed his girlfriend now wife, she would come after his licenses. This stuff is playing out like some single white female stuff. Like why according to the motion would patient LD file a complaint that this man was a threat to her but didn’t want to follow through with the complaint? Why would LD also make a doctor appointment with this man who she claims is a threat because he is a good doctor ? That right there that is written in. The motion plus the text messages on Facebook, got me thinking lifetime movie and it’s more to the story.

After declaring this man a "sexual predator," the Board failed to follow through on the hearing, which means there is no administrative record of the proceedings, and no Findings of Fact by the Board. This, to me, is the equivalent of "remanded to the file" in a criminal case.

Mr. Ingram told the board that there was almost no difference between revocation and indefinite suspension because the law states any doctor can apply for reinstatement after one year under either classification.

That's correct, KF. He can reapply annually until he passes. The board isn't giving him his license back.

The board DIDN'T FAIL to follow through with anything. Wolfe didn't take the time to even make an appearance to argue his side. Why? Because his side will show what a sloppy person he is. He agreed to the suspension because his attorney probably told him there is just too much evidence against him. There is a lot more to this than the bits of information the board has provided. Walter has had issues with being a pervert for a very long time and it finally caught up with him.

Do not understand how plaintiff's attorney thinks he can get 9 Mil in punitive damages as limit is 2% of net worth if defendant worth under $50 million. Doubt he is worth $ 450million to yield the $9 million!

If all of these allegations are true, he is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

No, No, No...

With all due respect, there is a HUGE difference to physicians who sit on credentialing committees between a revocation and a suspension. Mr. Ingram is utterly incorrect. Having been on many such medical committees, I can speak firsthand. There will be a HUGE difference when he applies for licensure either in Mississippi or in another state. There are many suspensions as disciplinary action...there are few total revocations.

Both Dr. Lippincott and Dr. Edney agree, as noted by their questions. Finally, Mr. Ingram himself denotes such by saying it was a matter of "negotiation". Why would anyone negotiate a meaningless distinction?
Dr. Wolfe did get a lucky break today.

And no, he will not be able to go to another state and re-apply, hiding this action. First of all, this action will have been reported TODAY to the National Practitioners Data Bank, and will be a permanent matter or record. It cannot be expunged. Second of all, on applications for medical licensure this is always the first question.

6:13 PM It will "never" get to a Credentialing Committee at a hospital for their consideration. Wolfe must first have a medical license to practice. Under these facts, no state receiving an application from Wolfe is going to grant him a medical license once they investigate and read the Summons and Affidavit to learn the basis for the "indefinite suspension" by the MS Medical Board. The Board's attorney is right, the indefinite suspension is tantamount to a revocation here. Stick a fork in him, he's done.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
