The race for Hinds County District Attorney is entering the home stretch as we head towards November 4. Money is the lifeblood of a campaign and this race is no exception. What is interesting is three candidates are effectively tied in fund-raising while two candidates did not submit reports.
How close are they? Read and weep.
Greta Mack Harris: $28,550 in contributions, $9,945 cash on hand
Marvin Sanders: $31,678 in contributions, $13,225 cash on hand
Gwen Agho: $30,111 in contributions, $9,821 cash on hand.
Wendy Wilson White: $12,671 contributions, $0 cash on hand.
Darla Palmer did not submit her campaign finance report even though today is the deadline.
* Gwen Agho raised $5,700 between herself and family members. The only notable attorneys contributing to the campaign are our friend Dorsey Carson and Merrida Coxwell.
* Marvin Sanders donated $7,500 to his own campaign. Most of his donations ranged from $250 -$500.
* Greta Mack Harris loaned $20,000 to her campaign. Dennis Sweet led all donors with a $1,000 contribution to her campaign.
* Wendy Wilson White's campaign is almost entirely self-funded as she loaned $10,751 to her campaign.
The campaign finance reports are posted below. This post will be updated if and when the other candidates submit their reports.

The non-submitters are exercising their 5th Amendment Rights.
