The deadline for plea offers in U.S.A. v. Owens et al is due tomorrow. Who will plead guilty? Who will go for broke? Trial begins July 13.
My personal bet is: Banks pleads guilty but Owens and Lumumba go to trial. Get out the beer and popcorn.

We are about to find out just how smart Lumumba and Owens think they are.
Agree, Banks pleads and Jody and Chuck go to trial.
For the sake of his children Lumumba should plead though thinking about anything beyond his own personal aggrandizement would be out of character for him.
Plea deadline is more advisory
Egos rule…their faith in the one juror and the hype….dice will roll.
They have too much pride to accept a plea deal, will go to court, loose, and get 3x the sentence if they would of just taken a plea deal
Fortunately for Owens he is only a "part-time DA" so a trial shouldn't negatively impact his part-time gig. Right?
Stokes told him the same thing months ago.
They're gonna fight it in court. Id bet an expensive lunch on it.
Banks will plead! He has time to work on a new memoir, “ How to kick my own ass”
I'm betting he won't step down even if convicted.
Shout out to Sister R!
Speaking of the Baby Chok, what's his sorry ass been up to lately, other than preparing for his trial?
If Owens can plead to a misdemeanor and testify for the State, he'd be crazy not to take it.
I think Lumumba is probably betting on jury nullification. If he can manage to slip one of his dad's old buddies through voir dire and get them on the jury, he'll probably get it.
Agreed. Banks will plea and agree to testify. The other two believe their own propaganda.
Why should Owens step down? The precedent has been set. He is/will follow the play book established by others ... deny accountability, blame others, get convicted, be impeached, appeal, sue. Its a strategy that been effective for others, why not him?
