Just another morning in Byram, Mississippi.
This morning around 0500, there was a report of suspicious activity in the Robinson Estates neighborhood. The description given to officers was the suspect was between four to five foot, light to dark complexion, and slowly moving in the roadway & yards. While canvassing the area, officers located the suspect. With the assistance of Wildlife & Fishery, we were able to apprehend the subject. Citizens can relax knowing the scaly suspect has been captured. On another note, W & F has advised that due to the increase in rain, additional gators may be visible near lakes and rivers. If you see one, do not approach it. Call the Byram Police Department at 601-372-2327.

After trauma of capture, it needs TLC, send it to James Carville.
Loved this! The Pearl River is the eastern boundary of Byram so, yeah, there will be gators.
Book em Danno… thankfully they did not harm the gator. Great job on part of police department. 🌞
Sweet Lord. Imagine if kids were playing in the backyard and got snatched up by one of those. Nope not for me, "For Sale" sign coming up next. I'm out of there.
They are everywhere. Last week I saw an 8’ to 9’ gator crossing North Old Canton between Eastwood and Hartford subdivisions. That’s about two miles up Haley Creek from the reservoir.
