Update: The school has been cleared and all restrictions are lifted.
Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey issued the following statement.
At 9:14am, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department was notified about a electronic bomb threat at Northwest Rankin High School. Multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies have responded to the school in order to begin the on-scene investigation. The safety of the students, faculty, and staff is our number one priority and because of this Northwest Rankin High, Northwest Rankin Middle, and Northwest Rankin Elementary Schools are currently under controlled movement as a precaution. The sheriff’s office is working in partnership with the Rankin County School District and our law enforcement partners to resolve this situation quickly and safely.

Must be a test day
REMINDER TO THE NITWITS:
RCSD=Rankin County School District
RCSO=Rankin County Sheriff’s Office
10:35, Rankin County itself states “The Sheriff’s Department is the chief law enforcement agency in Rankin County.” Furthermore, every job application for them is addressed to “Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, 221 North Timber”. Your services are desperately needed to correct the egregious errors there!
Yes, 11:19 AM you repeat that every single time you are corrected. And that is pointless. The Rankin County Sheriff’s Office has always been the RCSO and the Rankin County School District has always been the RCSD. At no point has either been the other. Stating otherwise is 100% willful ignorance. And this article is the perfect example to point out why you should use the correct acronym for each.
Anything to enjoy another three day weekend.
Look up Mississippi Code 19-25-15
Where are all the “I’m moving out” save your “property value” while you can commentary?
Per a post on Nextdoor, a freshman and a junior have been arrested.
Rankin is doomed.
Since neither acronym was used, WTF is the argument?
hmmm....I wonder how these young people failed to learn how to behave responsibly and would think threatening others and causing trouble was amusing?
I'm trying to think of adults who have consistently been law abiding ladies and gentleman with good manners and good taste who are in the public eye and celebrities. Even members of the royal family are behaving like brats and can't get along. I'm appalled and not amused by "naked" clothes especially the unsanitary uncovered bottom ( and then let us hope they don't "break wind" while we are behind them!). No doubt these boys thought seeing the belly 53 year old father of 15 jumping around with a chain saw on stage is " normal " and amusing.
A Clockwork Orange is beginning to look prophetic and that we've fallen down Alice in Wonderland's rabbit hole only is the King yelling " off with their heads" while the Cheshire Cat appears on TV.
