The rush to moral equivocation turned into a stampede after Hamas butchered hundreds of men, women, and children last week in Israel. No excuse was too small for some as they sought any reason to defend the terrorist organization. Former Clintonite Lanny Davis refuted it all as he provided a much-needed Hamas history lesson in a column published on several website:
I spent the weekend and most of Monday engaging in back-and-forth with fellow progressive Democrats who were trying to change the subject on the clear black-and-white facts about Hamas’ terrorist war against Israel. I kept reminding them of four indisputable facts.Fact one: Hamas openly declares it hates Jews. It is an openly bigoted, anti-Semitic organization. Its public charter, which it calls its “Covenant,” states: “Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious.” The Covenant actually endorses the notorious fraudulent anti-Semitic rant, used in part by Hitler to justify the Holocaust, the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” Fact two: Hamas’ invasion is not about supporting an independent Palestinian state. Hamas denies Israel’s right to exist. It rejects a two-state solution. The head of its political bureau, Khaled Meshal, stated this plainly at a 2012 rally in Gaza: “Palestine is ours from the river to the sea and from the south to the north. There will be no concession on any inch of land.” Some commentators, attempting to explain the Hamas invasion over the weekend, blamed the establishment of the state of Israel as the reason why there is still no independent Palestinian state. That is false and contradicted by undeniable historical facts. For example: For 19 years, between 1948-1967, Arab countries controlled East Jerusalem and all the land of the West Bank all the way to the Jordan River. They could have established a Palestinian nation, with Israel left with a fraction of territory compared to today’s Israel. So why didn’t they? In 2000, at Camp David, Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to create a Palestinian state in all of Gaza and 97% of the West Bank. The answer was no. In 2008, Prime Minister Ehud Ohmert offered to withdraw from almost the entire West Bank and to partition Jerusalem on a demographic basis – in addition to all of Gaza still being without Israeli soldiers or civilians. Still the answer was no. Fact three: Hamas doesn’t care about an independent, democratic Gaza for the well-being or social justice of Gazans. To the contrary. Since Gaza threw out the official government of the Palestinian Authority, it has not invested in food, education, or jobs. Instead, it has used millions of dollars from Iran to build bombs and rockets to be aimed at Israeli civilians, and has lined its own pockets with 15% of substantial funds from Qatar aimed at the poor. It is simply beyond dispute that Hamas has established a corrupt terrorist dictatorship, with some leaders living in luxury abroad. In the summer of 2023, Gazans defied their overlords and held rallies throughout the area. Some chanted: “Where is the electricity and where is the gas?” – and burned Hamas flags. Nor is Hamas reacting to Israeli occupation of Gaza. In 2005, Israel withdrew its citizens (about 8,000) and soliders from Gaza and from four settlements in the West Bank. In 2007, Hamas ousted the Palestinian Authority and took over dictatorial control of Gaza. But it opposed the Authority’s negotiations to establish an independent Palestinian state and does so to this day. Fact four: Hamas is and continues to be a terrorist organization – which meets the universal definition as dedicated to intentionally murdering civilians for political purposes. Hamas does not deny that. It brags about it. Just this last weekend, Hamas terrorists intentionally killed 260 young civilians attending a music festival in the desert near Gaza during the first moments of its murderous invasion. No, it is not the same thing when Israel is forced to respond to defend itself from rockets aimed at civilians and, tragically and unintentionally, innocent Gazans civilians are killed – often because Hamas chooses to launch its rockets intentionally aimed at civilians from schools and hospitals (a double war crime). Those who make the false equivalence between intentional murder and self-defense with tragic and unintentional deaths of innocents ignore the facts. I have always been a supporter of a two-state solution. Since I was very young, I believed in justice for the Palestinians and argued with my father that they deserved their own nation. But I also now remember the famous line of Tevye from “Fiddler on the Roof” when he argued with himself by saying, “On the one hand,” and then countered with, “but on the other hand.” However, on one issue on which he could never compromise, Tevye said: “There is no other hand.” So regarding the Hamas terroristic attack on Israel in the last several days, I can only say – based on indisputable facts – “There is no other hand.”
Hamas behavior is no surprise as this is what these groups do. There is a reason Egypt and the rest of the Arab world won't help the Palestinians. They haven't forgotten how the PLO tried to take over Jordan, forcing King Hussein to kick them out of his country. There is no negotiating with butchers and make no mistake, Hamas is nothing but an organization of butchers intimidates its own people while trying to kill as many Jews as possible.
Some will accuse Israel of committing war crimes in Gaza this week. Just one question for such readers. If the Palestinians were Germans and Hamas was the SS, would you still take the same position?

One of the few times Lanny has made sense. But he is dead on with this. Hamas’ charter as written originally is very explicit about its goals to exterminate Israel, and ultimately all Jews. They later watered it down somewhat to give them a bit more international credibility, but it was only was to hide their actual philosophy. Hamas’ principal outside support comes from Iran, whose leadership has made no secret of their desire to destroy Israel. Hamas is willing to sacrifice thousands of Palestinians as “martyrs,” without the slightest interest in peace with Israel.
The G Man did like him for a reason.
I literally posted the video that explains why this happened and you declined to post it. The Al-Jazeera English story from 10 days ago, days before the Al-Aqsa Flood began, discussed how ultra-Orthodox Jews storming the Mosque under the protection of Armed Jewish troops, and broke all of the agreed upon protocols.
Instead of doing any basic investigation, you do the typical lazy kingfish copy-paste of Zionist propaganda.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is managed by King of Jordan who is an ally of both Israel and The USA. But Israel doesn’t respect the holy sanctuary.
Few Christians know this but the rock in Al-Aqsa is believed to be the same spot where both Jesus and Mohammed ascended to Heaven.
I only see freedom fighters standing up to the most evil group of demons on the planet.
Hamas is evil but so are the war crimes Israel has and continues to commit against the Palestinians. If you are ok with Israeli bombs killing civilians in the Gaza Strip then you are no better than the Hamas militants.
Go get them Israel! Every last one! Hamas not only wants to kill every last Jew but also every last Christian!
Israel you are doing Americans a very big favor by being the tip of the spear.
Brace yourself people as Hamas will kill hostages and spread the event on all social media!
Thank you for posting this, KF
This is all a bunch of revisionist fiction. The Israeli Mossad created Hamas to counter the PLO and literally still controls them. I would disregard some American Diaspora Jew and instead listen to the truth of a Jew living in Israel and exposing huge (and ongoing) failures within the Israeli Mossad.

As I understand, the Israelis want the kidnapped citizens back and have in very clear terms told Hamas they will strike out until the hostages are released. Hamas has no intention of doing that. As I see it, they are the ones who attacked killed Israelis and took civilian hostages. How can anyone criticize Israel from striking back to get the hostages back? I understand there is no way Hamas will release them. That is not who they are. As bad as it sounds, they have chosen to die. I wish I could understand what they did and intend to accomplish. I just can't.

Here’s why Why Al-Aqsa is key to understanding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict | Start Here
It would be beneficial to the readers if &:55 would answer the question posed in the last sentence of the original posting, but alas, he/she is a bleeding heart who has no grasp of reality.
7:55 PM - The only evidence of war crimes in this incident is against HAMAS. They committed several in the initial murderous attack against civilians in Israel and continue to commit war crimes by holding Israeli and American hostages today in Gaza. Also, HAMAS is committing war crimes against the Palestinian people today by not allowing the people to get out of the war zone and by keeping unmarked military units in civilian neighborhoods. There are many more HAMAS crimes left to be documented, such as stationing troops and material in mosques, hospitals, and schools. There is no evidence and no credible allegations of war crimes against Israel.
7:55 After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor- and then the US bombed Japan did you feel the same way.
Every American should stand with Israel. And we should tell our Jewish friends, familirs and friends that we will never condone the atrocitirs that have occurred.
Larry Jones
From the Hamas charter:
"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews."
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).”
Why are so many liberal groups defending these animals?
7:55, stop with the hyperbole. No sane, reasonable person is OK with civilians losing their lives, but Israel is at war and Hamas terrorists have intermixed themselves with civilians, making collateral damage unavoidable. It’s unfortunate, but going after Hamas and inflicting some level of civilian casualties is the only way to rid the region of that terrorist group and have a chance at a peaceful coexistence.
Take my land and give it to someone else…. Then see how a so called savage militant is born !
Israel is poised to put boots on the ground in Gaza. The U.S. will not be able to call them off like times past. Bibi intends to fix the Hamas problem for good.
When Israel finishes the job in the Mid East, they should come to the USA and do the same- Biden and his woke military aren't going to do a damn thing against these extremist other than let more stream in and collect welfare!
In my opinion, I think that much of the sympathy in the U.S. for militant Palestinians is based on the fact that they are dark-skinned, and they are in a fight with a more powerful and light-skinned adversary.
I believe that many Americans now view the world through the prism of race, and are projecting their own feelings and beliefs about race issues in the United States onto the Israel/Hamas conflict. That is my opinion.
9:20 asked, "Why are so many liberal groups defending these animals?"
Answer: Because liberals are inherently mean. When they are benevolent, they are benevolent with other people's money.
Lanny Davis? Tell me, now, where does he go to Sunday School?
This is not an unbiased refutation, KF, not an unbiased writer here.
Wow what a disgusting Zionist circle jerk. A new low for KF.
It doesn’t take much research to learn that the current occupiers have no right to Palestine.
Imagine claiming to be Jewish with blue eyes and blond or red hair 🤣
Black Hebrew Israelites have about as much right to Palestine as the current bunch of European and Slavic gangsters and gypsies who call themselves Israeli.
Israel will have to step up and kill a lot more Palestinian babies and children because the next generation of terrorist is being cultivated right now. The current generation fighting right now grew up during the intifadas from the early 2000s.
Barack Obama and Susan Rice are VERY influential in the Biden administration. Neither is a friend to Israel.
It’s not surprising that liberals who thought in 2020 social justice should be achieved through rioting, arson, looting, and murder would now be OK with Hamas terrorists murdering innocent civilians. And those same people go ape-shit if a micro aggression is committed against them.
October 14, 2023 at 1:02 AM, perhaps you could give us your unbiased view.
Didn't approve a couple of comments because they were little more than long screeds about trump. Post isn't about Trump. Don't get too mad. I've rejected screeds about Obama as well when they had little to do with the subject of the post.
October 13, 2023 at 9:41 PM, what if the land wasn't yours to begin with, you just began to claim it? What if the people that had legal right to the land you claimed, offered to share with you, but you refused? In this Israeli/Hamas situation, those are not what ifs, those are facts.
So KF, in your opinion it isn’t relative to the post the Jewish terrorists (See “Lehi” or Stern Gang) admittedly started all of this violence by committing the very first terror bombings recorded in the Middle East. These are the bombings of the British Military offices (King David Hotel Bombing) assassinating British officials in Palestine (Lord Moyne assassination) bombing the British Haifa-Cairo railways, and massacring Arab villages (Deir Yassin Massacre)
It doesn’t matter who started it, just that the side you like isn’t in the wrong?
I made a post naming all of the Jewish terror groups that eventually became part of the Israeli government and military today.
So massacres, bombings, and assassination was okay for the Irgun and Lehi, but not okay for Hamas?
@9:23 AM
Kingfish censors the unbiased truth.
I give him the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe he is just scared because of the old saying about not being able to criticize your rulers.
Heard from multiple press sources that in the recent Hamas attack on unarmed civilians in Israel, 40 Israeli babies were slaughtered, many were decapitated using shovels. Israeli women were raped and brutally murdered, then their naked bodies paraded through streets as Hamas trophies. These crimes go beyond Nazi atrocities. IDF will need to exterminate as many thousands of Hamas militants as possible, then punish Iran also.
Guess you forgot the Grand Muhfti's massacre and other massacres as well. Funny how you don' mention how the Arabs kicked all the Jews out of their countries in the 40's and 50s. No right of return is advocated, right.
October 14, 2023 at 10:34 AM, you may be king of the what-about-isms. No one said anything about the ancient history you're posting being alright. Address what's happening now. Is it alright for Hamas to kill, and rape women, kill babies, and the elderly? Of course, the baby killing is probably good in your view.
I can’t imagine in my wildest dreams how someone can defend Hamas, but I’m now realizing some of these commenters must be followers of Louis Farrakhan, who makes Goebbels look like a lightweight when it comes to antisemitism.
10:34, You can justify anything if you go far back enough through history.
Can we please just deal with our own shit in the present, instead of trying to settle scores from past generations?
An attack that has been in the planning stages for 2 years by the statements of Hamas is hardly the result of a riot at the Mosque in Jerusalem. It’s not even a plausible excuse for beheading babies, murder, and kidnapping people, nor slaughter of innocent civilians in their homes and raining down rockets on civilians with no military role. So, Al Jazeera’s propaganda piece can be discarded in the trash where it belongs.
I don’t interpret 10:34’s comment as “whataboutism”
I interpret it as a response to you all pretending that Israelis are just innocent pious Jews minding their own business when the truth is they aren’t and frequently instigate it.
@12:46pm
Thanks for reminding this forum of one of America's jihadists.
Some yall aint got a clue about what you are talking about. Any Yall ever been over there & dealt on a daily basis with these "People"? I was an Army Contractor for four years & lived with them. You got NO IDEA how these "People: think & until Yall go over there & see for yourselves then I think you shouldn't be able to comment on this at all. You can't have no idea how stupid you sound.
And another thing that seems to escape your attention is that even if you take up the Hamas Cross & run with it you are still as much a target for extermination as Israel is, if you aint one them then you should die. They are Rattlesnakes folks! You may pet him ever day for a week, a year or several years but one day it WILL BITE! And you can Take That to the Bank!
Michael Silberberg, an Israel-born German, said he had long been politically liberal, hoping for a peace that gave Palestinians their own homeland.
“You know: ‘All good. Let’s live all together. Let’s give them the land.'”
Then, on Saturday, as he was fleeing the music festival near Gaza where 260 were massacred by Hamas on October 7, Silberberg encountered Hamas gunmen riding a motorcycle, the man on the back shooting at passing cars.
They did not see him approaching in his car from behind.
"My mind has changed. I’m sorry — I’m not sorry,” he said, sitting in his seafront Tel Aviv apartment where he and his two friends hunkered down after the attack.
“You can’t make peace with these people,” he said. “They don’t want to coexist with us. They want to kill us.”
He accelerated. The Hamas murderers went flying. The shooter on the back dead. The driver, crawling on the road severely injured.
No Justice, no Peace?? This was Justice, for ending peace and killing innocents.
You can't coexist with murdering zealots, whether here or in Israel.
A lot of you suffer from a combination of religious brainwashing and emotional hysteria. I few the Palestinians the same way I do the Numunuu aka the Comanche Indians. Bloody and brutal adversaries who raided, raped, scalped, and killed tens of thousands maybe close to 100,000 white invaders. They effectively stopped the Spanish expansion north from New Spain, and Anglo expansion West at the Great Plains, for almost an century. Ultimately their low birth rates and the endless migration of white Europeans westward took their toll on the Comanche and they were the very last tribe to settle on the reservation in the late 19th century.
If you remove the desert religion then it’s the same Europeans vs Indigenous people battling for land and political power. Only now it is homegrown rockets and kalashnikovs vs American taxpayer funded tanks and drones and jets.
The majority of Palestinians were born on their land. The majority of Jews in Israel were born in Arab countries, Russia, the USA, and Europe. Tell me who has more right?
