Meet the Goons

Posted below are photos of the infamous Goon Squad "challenge" coin.

A source sent the photos to JJ yesterday.  JJ confirmed with two other sources the pictures are valid.

Jeffrey Middleton created the coin and passed it out to members of the Goon Squad unit and deputies who worked his shift.  The same Jeffrey Middleton who got off after killing an innocent driver as he barreled down Highway 18 in Jackson with his lights turned off. Earlier post.

When Middleton was at JPD, he was part of JPD officers that took a picture.  The picture said "We don't kiss ass, we kick ass."  Apparently some things never change.

wrong tater......mississippi's FEDERAL criminal justice system works..................if this matter was left to the state the goon squad would still be operating.

Anonymous said...

Goon Squad tattoos, even on Mama Dealer?

Anonymous said...

How is it possible that Bryan did not know? Hell, how did anyone associated with leadership at RCSO not know?

Anonymous said...

What a bunch of dumb cops. The coin was nothing more than future evidence.

Anonymous said...

so when will the County Sheriff resign??

Anonymous said...

Yea, those silly pins should be embarassing to a grown man. Geeze! They should be required to wear them in prison!

Anonymous said...

For the goon squad to have a challenge coin is so blatant that there is absolutely NO WAY that the Sheriff didn't know what was going on in his department.

There is no doubt in my mind that Sheriff Bailey owned a few of these coins, which are likely now in the Pearl River.

Anonymous said...

The new ones coming out have dildos and milk on them.

Anonymous said...

Apparently he said he is not resigning. So all we can do is vote him out. For that to happen Rankin County leadership and various mayors must call Bailey to account for his actions.

Anonymous said...

@10:49
Listen here.
The Sheriff asked these grown men and they looked him in the eye and lied to him.
Then he prayed about it.
What else would you expect him to do?
Due diligence was done.
Time to move on!

It’s ironic because If you look at their heights in the mugshot and then compare it to the Sheriff, and then look at the picture on the coin, it’s like a younger-in-cheek inside joke that Bailey was the Lil Boss and they were his big goons

Anonymous said...

ahhh yes we should trust anonymous, unnamed sources

Anonymous said...

Once a group of cops gives themselves a stupid name, it’s guaranteed they’re breaking the law.

Anonymous said...

Proving actual knowledge on the part of Bailey may (and I definitely want to emphasize may) prove difficult. However, proving that a reasonable person in his position should have known or should have had reason to know given all of the "smoke" surrounding this "fire" shouldn't be that great of a leap in the land of justice and jurisprudence.

One thing is certain. Bailey's friends should definitely take any and all steps to prevent him from doing another interview. Saying he had no idea and acting like he is totally shocked is becoming unbelievable....if it hasn't already reached that point.

Anonymous said...

Their next challenge coin will have images of them grabbing their ankles and squeeling.

Anonymous said...

The feds have been real quiet about how these folks got onto a federal task force.

Anonymous said...

Which of the perps was the artist who drew the goons?

Actually, much more likely the goon image was borrowed. From where?

Could be another little part of the story.

Anonymous said...

"They lied to me". So when the Sheriff walked into the crime scene and saw Milk, Eggs, Honey, ransacked home, he didn't ask "oh crap!!! What did yall do?." And if you have any common sense, you would know the Sheriff knew his employees were walking around calling themselves the goon squad happily handing out stupid coins proudly. But you don't think Bryan Baily had one? Each one is a disgrace. Hoping the FBI is continuing to look deeper......

Anonymous said...

Bryan Bailey should resign immediately!!
Those crocodile tears didn't fool anyone!!
Do the right thing Sheriff and resign now!!!

Anonymous said...

Things are piling up for the sheriff. He knowingly hired a guy that committed manslaughter with a police car.

Anonymous said...

11:17
Ok let’s trust the sheriffs Dept! D.A.

Anonymous said...

Chokeway should send these guys a fruit basket for making JPD look like a competent machine in comparison and for taking any possible modicum of national attention off COJ and putting it (rightfully) on the Rankin shitshow that I apparently live amongst.

Anonymous said...

Sometimes its better to correct and save a bad employee than firing him or her and starting over.

Imagine the scrutiny the SO will be under for an infinite amount of time. Bailey is well aware this is a colossal f--k up and his every move is going to be watched.

Plus, he's going to have to back up his comments to make the required corrections. It's not about giving him another chance but, telling him what to do and making sure it gets done. In other words, he needs to answer to someone on a daily basis.

Hookah said...

Vote Goon Squad as a write in candidate.

Anonymous said...

@12:11
JPD knows better than to leave witnesses to testify.

Anonymous said...

In this election he is running unopposed. Everyone don't vote for him. That way he'll get about 10 votes. His own and family.

Anonymous said...

The capitol police need to take over the Rankin County sheriff department. Andy & Barney did a better job than Byran Bailey.

Anonymous said...

Sheriff Bailey. When you got on scene and saw no body cameras being worn. Saw your deputies had no legal right to be in the house. When you saw the victim had a gun shot entry wound inside HIS MOUTH. If you didn’t recognize this was bullshit you’re dumber than you look.

What was the call? Why are y’all inside? Who was here first? How did you shoot him inside his mouth missing his teeth? Why is there milk and all the contents of the fridge all over the floor?

Rip said...

Someone needs to find out where the Goon Squad’s train station is

Anonymous said...

First it was a pin, now its a challenge coin? which is it?

Anonymous said...

@10:46:

How is it possible that Bryan did not know? Hell, how did anyone associated with leadership at RCSO not know?

I suggest you talk to Philip Bryant. He’s a former Rankin Deputy Sheriff. But then again, he knows nothing about the TANF funds either.

Anonymous said...

@12:46 PM

Never heard mention of a pin. It was always a patch and a challenge coin.
You must be one of those commenters who are deficient in reading comprehension.
Kingfish needs to adopt one of these text-based captchas that throws off the bots and dyslexics.

A cryin' shame that all this info didn't make it out quicker from federal case so that someone could've run against the sheriff

Anonymous said...

Pretty easy to pull the order form and see if any had names imprinted on them like Middletons. Also, how many he ordered with the S.O. official logo, willing to bet the farm there are more than 5 squad members! For those that say Bailey should resign, its more likely he'll get removed by the DOJ after indictments. This shooting is just the tip of the iceberg.

Anonymous said...

Can the sheriff still claim ignorance?

Anonymous said...

Please find the list of all the deputies who had the goon squad coin. Bet some people are praying we never find out they had one of these special coins......

Anonymous said...

Just the good ol' boys
Never meanin' no harm

Anonymous said...

11:34 am is on to something. Numerous RCSO deputies are members of multiple federal task forces and have been for years. I wonder just how many federally overseen law enforcement operations the goonies participated in through the years?

Another question: If the men and women of the RCSO are no longer to be trusted because of who is currently leading them, then surely the feds have refrained from using RCSO personnel on joint task force operations since this all came down, correct????? I mean, if the current leadership of the department is not trustworthy, surely none of the department's personnel have been employed on recent joint operations?

Anonymous said...

Outsider here, fascinated by this story.

Will those who have pled guilty lighten their sentence by testifying against others in the Rankin Sheriff's office?

Anonymous said...

2:26
I would say there is a 1000% chance that is happening

Anonymous said...

If Tate wanted to back up his big words, he would invoke this power. Win or lose, it would send a message and be the end of the sheriff.

https://law.justia.com/codes/mississippi/2013/title-19/chapter-25/section-19-25-69#:~:text=If%2C%20after%20a%20hearing%20by,shall%20have%20the%20power%20and

Anonymous said...

I notice the coin says "Lt. Middleton's Good Squad." Maybe they actually got the ringleader. Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

Will Tate need to send his POLICE force to patrol rankin county as well, we also pay for it so we should get some services.

Anonymous said...

@2:26
When the Goon Squad wasn’t violently attacking African American men and planting evidence on attorneys, they were literally Highwaymen with badges and guns chasing cars with Texas plates. Then they were confiscating their money and valuables under the cover of being a “drug interdiction task force” and the accountability and accounting of the proceeds of activities have gone unquestioned for at least 10 years. One can imagine that they are turning states evidence on what they know. The younger ones may not know much. If McAlpin was being set up to take the fall for the Goons’ boss, then if the FBI offered him a lighter sentence in exchange of singing against the Goon’s boss, he may be inclined to turn state’s witness.

We just don’t know.
All we know is someone currently running for office is playing dumb.

Anonymous said...

Ted Henifin for Sheriff.

Anonymous said...

@12:56. Incorrect. Phil Bryant was a Hinds County Deputy.

Anonymous said...

What an f’ing disgrace these thug PIGs have caused to Rankin County and the state of Mississippi.

The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN et al do not care about the children killed in Jackson, MS from stray bullets nor all of the other heinous crimes but will have the world thinking nothing has changed in Mississippi since the 1960’s – and the ignorant sheep will gobble it up.

Rankin County Sherriff Bryan Bailey either almost certainly had to be complicit, or is incompetent – and he must RESIGN or be REMOVED!!!

Anonymous said...

The way I hear it on the street (lifelong rankin county resident that know a lot of folks) McAlpin was a complete psychopath. Planted evidence on multi people for years.

Anonymous said...

Brian Bailey ran unopposed in primary, I did not check the box.

Anonymous said...

@5:19 PM
McAlpin operated like someone who felt like a “made man” that was untouchable.

Anonymous said...

Karma is alive and well. Have fun boys.

Anonymous said...

Madison and even Hinds County both have an Inmate Search. Does Rankin not have an online list of inmates?

Anonymous said...

If he’s like most politicians, just check his damn text messages. I’m sure the sheriff has videos and selfies of the plastic peckers and milk.

Anonymous said...

No 7:17. Rankin always guarded their inmate information. They were posed Vinelink had access

Anonymous said...

There have been so many of those challenge coins tossed in the Pearl that a dam may have been created.

Anonymous said...

Investigate their families too. They are all crooked.

Anonymous said...

McAlpin is telling it all. Going back to Tazer death #1.

I literally feel a twinge of anxiety now when I see a Rankin County Sheriff’s Vehicle. I’ve never felt this way before and have lived here my whole life. Which other deputies knew about “The Goon Squad”, said nothing or looked the other way? How could the Sheriff not know what was going on? Are every arrest these deputies made being re- investigated? I never would have believed this was true when I first heard what these men had done. I hope someone will make a movie about this, play it nation-wide, as a teacher tool for all. We have come so far, we have so far to go…my heart aches…

Anonymous said...

Another question, how many other Rankin County Deputies carry drugs with them to plant on people? How many other”Missions” have these goons carried out? How many other people have these, and other deputies falsely accused of drug possession and planted the drugs themselves? Sheriff Bailey is not comprehending they massive distrust that has been placed on The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department. I have the Rankin Co. Sheriff’s Department phone number in my contacts, in case of emergency, but now will be very hesitant to call them for help. Every past arrest made by these men must now be investigated by The DOJ, as all are questionable now. Bailey seems to think he has made Rankin Co. one of the safest places to live, he is incorrect. It is the people of Rankin County that have made it the one of the safest places to live. That’s all I’ve got to say about that.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
