40,696 Absentee Votes Cast

Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson issued the following report.

As of Monday, August 7, 2023, the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) reported a total of 45,199 absentee ballots requested44,715 absentee ballots sent, and 40,696 absentee ballots received in the state of Mississippi for the 2023 Primary Election.

As a reminder, the requested total reflects the number of Mississippi voters who have requested an absentee ballot through their local Circuit Clerk's Office. The sent total reflects the number of absentee ballots sent to voters from Circuit Clerk Offices. The received total reflects the number of completed absentee ballots returned to Circuit Clerk Offices.

Notes:

  • County Circuit Clerks are consistently receiving requests for absentee ballots and processing those requests. This will cause a difference in the number of ballots requested and ballots sent due to continuous processing.
  • Absentee ballots will be accepted or rejected by the resolution board. The accepted or rejected columns will not reflect the actual number of accepted or rejected ballots until after the election.

Heads-up, State Gov...Look for "dead people" on these mailed-out ballots and on the voting roles and those that have been in nursing homes that don't know who their families are. As well, check signature ID's on the ballots to match their other ID's.

Let's tamp down the fraud in our elections!

@12:37 PM
Despite your paranoid delusions, Democratic voter fraud has never been proven to be widespread in The USA.
Republican voter suppression and disenfranchisement via gerrymandering is an actual real issue in this state.

12:37...spoken like a true, crooked dem that you are! Why are you and your party afraid to look at cleaning up the voter' roles? Easy answer...CORRUPTION!

Vote all you want and as hard as you can. Some judge is going to nullify whatever you support anyway.

@1:01 PM
I think the lawsuits that Dominion won against Fox News Channel proves you are possibly suffering from paranoid delusions caused by the repeated lies of Fox News Channel. Get help.

I wasn’t sure on Lt gov race but now that crazy Mary endorsed Chris I’m voting for Delbert. She is the one that killed the great ballot initiative that we passed overwhelmingly! She’s a problem and Chris should ask her to remove her endorsement. No telling what she got McDaniel to agree to do for her!

I will never vote for a Democrat while alive.

1:16 Dominion won no lawsuits against Fox. It never went to trial.

On a topic that is SO incredibly sensitive to the continued operation of this country, the main response from the courts on the allegations of voter fraud has been "lack of standing." While there has been AMPLE incidents for suspicion of voter fraud, the courts have chosen to not pursue it. Watch 2000 mules for a look into why people believe this. If you can refute it, please do so; however, don't downplay the reasons behind why at least half of the country is convinced some of our recent elections.

One advantage to being a Dem is that can still vote in the next life.

Huge early vote drive by MCDaniel camp.

"Democratic voter fraud has never been proven to be widespread in The USA."

Yes, it has, unless one wants to equivocate about the meaning of "widespread."

The 1960 POTUS election is but one example. However, just as in 1960, the fraud was perpetrated to affect local elections with whatever potential added benefit to Kennedy simply being frosting rather than the cake itself, or, was done by unconnected local people in a nonsensical attempt to influence the national race. Kennedy won, Nixon lost, and Kennedy did more illegal votes than Nixon, but discounting all illegal votes would not have changed Kennedy's winning. Pretty much the same general thing happened with Biden and Trump: yes, there was a relatively small degree of fraud but discounting it would not have changed the outcome. I'd suggest that people ought to be much more concerned about having a choice between Biden or Trump (or Kennedy or Nixon, or Trump and Clinton, etc.). When the choice is between incompetent venality and venal incompetence, immaterial voter fraud is probably not the most important issue at hand. Good lord, when Jeb Bush and Mike Bloomberg look like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson in comparison, that ain't good.

In simple terms, yes, there is plenty of voter fraud on the local level all over the USA, but no, it would only be possible to "steal" a national election if it were extremely close in tens of thousands of the 175,000 or so precincts across the US AND a small handful of would-be election thieves got hit-the-lottery-every-week-for-a-year lucky. It is impossible to "conspire" to steal a national election because it would take many 1000s of people working in close synchrony in tens of thousands of precincts throughout the US, all having nearly instantaneous synchronous communication and unfettered real-time access to ballot counts in 1000s of precincts, all shared among a large number of the would-be conspirators.

Vote early & vote often!

132 how very narrow of you. A party affiliation is typically just a label, especially in local elections.

The Federal Voter Rights act controlled the elections in Mississippi and the south for many many decades and it only ended a very few years ago. Voter districts had to be formed to insure blacks were elected and that system was created and protected by the DOJ. Elections would not be held unless the DOJ signed off and got the right people elected. To help get the desired out come cheating was built into the system, like voting with out ID. This process alive and well and Biden election is all required to proves that a national wide criminal election process is in place.

Hoseman bout to get hosed

The fat dumb right-wing kooks are out in force, and all it took to start foaming was the word 'absentee' in print.

3:57 nope. You need to broaden your horizons a little bit. Get out of the basement occasionally. There's a whole other reasonable world out there. And they support Delbert Hosemann!

"...if you can’t say it in 30 words or less..."

About as good an explanation for many of today's problems as any other. Uneducated people uninterested in learning and with the attention span of an speed addict with ADHD deluding themselves into believing they can understand, in 30 words or less, concepts and ideas that require education, training, study, and experience, often years of it.

I wouldn't support either McDaniel or Hoseman nor shake their hands. So I gotta hold my nose and vote against the worse of the two. Probly against Hoseman.

Hoseman is a Hoser Democrat.

It’s scary that many of the posters in this thread can vote. Stay last Mississippi.

Vote as many times as you want but your vote will not count. Do you think the politicians would let the people choose who will lead our country? Hell, they would probably elect someone like Trump. No politician wants something like that.

I personally do not plan on voting. I try my best to stay out of crooked deals. Why should I want anything to do with putting people in charge of things when they are so willing to put the cost on me and filling their pocket at the same time. Try your best to find a politician that did not get rich while they were in office. Everyone knows a government job does not pay anything. They have to make their money the old fashion way, by stealing it.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
