Update: There is indeed a Rest of the story.
Some people just have to mess around and find out.

The turban means a Sikh. And they are a warrior religion.
If that happened here UMMC would have patched him up at taxpayer expense and then one of our pretend judges would have suspended most of his sentence. That assumes our pretend DA would have actually charged him instead of not even prosecuting lest a black person in Jackson be held responsible for their actions.
This was beautiful.
If there were more folks in the world like those two guys it might slow some of this bullshit down.
Watching that gloriousness is a f’n excellent way to start the day. Just f’n beat the $hit out of these vermin.
@7:18 AM
Our local Sikh have a huge temple in Jackson that is visible from I-20.
Most of the local hayseeds probably think it Muslims.
You can stop by for a free meal. Sikh feed a free vegetarian meal to everyone who visits.
Yes, a good canning up and down the lower extremities always got my attention. Then the stick was positioned to lay across the top of a picture frame on the wall in the kitchen, until next time.
No. If that were in the United States, he would sue; in Hinds County he'd get a million dollar judgment.
I’m not a violent person. But that felt awesome to watch. Can we send a unit of these dudes to Cali?
@8:06
That’s in the USA
If it were Canadians then the cigarette packs would be wider and show pictures of disfigured cancer victims.
Should have been an axe instead of that stick!
The guy talking, "that's called whipping yo ass". Hilarious!
Don't you know that hurt. I bet they lost his business at least until the bruises healed. If the Sikh had been serious, he would have pulled the knife out of his turban and stabbed the shoplifter. If he had been Muslim, he would have cut the shoplifter's hand off out in the town square.
I am happy we are not under Muslim rule, but there is something to be said for cutting off a thief's hand. Makes them easy to spot when they come into the store.
We love Baseball in America
The boys and girls along with myself ROFLOAO about this idiot getting his just due's. We agree we would've just walked out laughing. Bet he quits smoking.
Excellent...many hard working immigrants have been robbed and killed in pursuit of the American Dream.
All the whiners about past injustice in our country decades ago who's people have inflicted these crimes need to clean up their own back yard!
I enjoyed the off camera commentary. “That’s called whooping your ass.”
Oh man, I put this on a loop. Would have loved it if he had tagged his partner and let him beat him a while. Turban vs. Dew rag. Turban warrior every time.
That turban dude wasn't messing around! A good dose of Ramen Beatdown!
I'm wondering if the off camera commenter wiyh the phone knew the guys were Sikh and that's why he kept telling them there was nothing they could do and the police wouldn't do anything either.
The next thing you know IT WAS ON!
This is epic. Wonder where this happened. Wonder if any others have ventured into this establishment doing the same thing.
The Tweet feeds says this happened in NYC.
This was both gratifying and satisfying for the observer. Looks like he beat the pieces off of him at .042! Keep up the good work sir.
The guy doing the flogging was doing a decent impression of Dan Ackroyd’s Norge refrigerator repairman, for those of old enough to remember the SNL skit.
The feel-good video of the day! WOW, that was satisfying!!!
For all of you who may feel sorry for the guy or that he got more than he deserved, just remember: he was in 100% control of whether that happened to him or not. Or, in the current vernacular: he FA and FO!
Where did this happen?
Unfortunately, the thief probably has personal injury attorney representation by now.
Vigilante justice. The sign of things to come!
It happened at a Sikh-owned 7-Eleven in Stockton, California.

The dud with the stick stopped way too soon!
I am horrified. Why couldn’t the proprietor wait for law enforcement officials to arrive and use modern policing principles in a community-based approach to address this person’s issues? This public flogging does not reflect our democratic values; it’s not who we are.
“This public flogging does not reflect our democratic values; it’s not who we are.”, if we aren't the one giving the ass whipping, are we the one getting the ass whipping? Which one should we be identified with?
@7:12 AM
I know you are just being facetious.
However, when you are faced with third world problems, you have to rely on third world solutions.
These Indian fellas know how to handle third world problems.
It’s similar to how out West, you will often find gruesomely castrated and bleeding illegal alien child molestors.
Nobody has the time or money to deal with double talking lawyers and corrupt judges, south of the border.
This can be a learning experience since Mississippi is the most third world state in the USA.
Had the police been involved, the perp would be charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct and a judge would have sent him to a soup kitchen. After three days of nourishment, the perp would repeat this behavior.
7:12 is clearly being facetious. But there's this, form the follow up link:
"Anyway, I think this thief had it coming to a point but the guy with the broom should have stopped once he cried uncle. At that point, he’s not subduing a threat, he’s exacting punishment and some of those final hits on the shins and knees were unnecessary."
This was a strong-arm robbery, not a playground fight. He's lucky he didn't get shot. An ass-whooping is assumption-of-risk, in this lawyer's opinion.
8:39: Why don't you just leave Mississippi, instead of repeatedly posting the same tired comments about how bad this state sucks. Just move to somewhere else when you can be proud of all the first-place awards and accolades that come with your new address.
I stand to be corrected, but I believe I read that any theft in California under $900 is no longer prosecuted.
