Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

No thanks.
I’ll stay out where there is running clean water we pay for based on a meter. Oh, and where someone will answer 911 if I need it.
Hard pass.
Hasn’t the water been very free for a long time already? Which is why there is no money.
I know there will be clowns, but will there be cotton candy?
Darn. I'll be at work.
What does that even mean? Will be like a Simpsons episode with people showing up with pitchforks and torches to protest something and have no reason what they're protesting. SMH.
or "all of it for free"
Dr. Johnson looks like he should be saying "I pity the fool"
"Doctor Umar"? PHD in Fashion.
I understand the "Free the Water," but exactly what LAND are they wanting to free? And from whom?
A joke, right?
Something for free - that's all these people want.
Pictures for the TV Newsers. Nothing more and nothing that's going to sway the legislature.
Thank goodness for booking a DJ on Friday afternoon!
Do not laugh for this has worked may years and will again.
Yep Just when Jackson had a glimpse of Hope. The Senate will roll over. If Delbert whimps out rolls over on this , I'm becoming a Mcdaniel man. This is a deal breaker
Dude is from Philadelphia. Not Philadelphia, MS, the real one. All the buzzards are circling just looking to get in on the act. Just Google Dumar Johnson. And then go watch Idiocracy.
How do you become a Doctor in “free stuff” I want to know???!!! Freeology.
Some groups of people thrive on constant outrage.
Dr Umar Frowny Face is gonna tell you like it is!
Free the Capitol from Jackson!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umar_Johnson
Just googled his name cost $5000-$10000 to book. Is he going to walk the streets talking to the kids about the water and the land?
I think the tax paying citizens in Jackson would love to hear him help the Mayor solve the crime epidemic.
Waste of time. The national news will be around Super Bowl this week. Next week would be better;. They need a better slogan.
To 3:15
Free the land was a phrase used by Lumumba senior. My understanding was that his impression was that he and all former slaves were due 40 acres and a mule. So they wanted a portion of the southeast (Louisiana, MS, AL, Georgia and South Carolina) dedicated to black families and wanted to form another country called the Republic of new Afrika.
You know what? This is some real stupid unnecessary shigity. The Mayor is way off track. I guess the money has to go somewhere, just pay him the $5000-$10,000 fee to uplift the people.
This money really could have went to something the citizens of Jackson really needed. Councilman Stokes you have any ideas?
Chief Davis I know you are shaking your head, the Police tied up in this nonsense while short on personnel. Well I’ll go back to looking at SWAT on TV.
Power to the People
The Mayor has no shame, where is the money coming from to pay this gentleman?
I’m guessing Sen Michel won’t be in attendance??
Umar Johnson's wikipedia page is fire.
Last time I checked the water is free but you have to get a state-issued permit to withdraw it from the river.
Land ain't free, no matter what they're driving at.
You kidding me. Sure ole Chuck will be there with his racism for all to see. Getting tired of Chuck and his new world order. He will not be happy till every white skin American is out of Jackson.
The website makes sense. Why is the state getting involved at all? This is a bad look for Mississippi. The mayor should have control over all federal funds to fix Jackson. After the mess with the football guy, why should the state be in control of any of these funds. Let Jackson fix Jackson. I fully support the petition.
2:33 - for the win.
8:29 - I need some of what you are smoking.
@8:29 did you put down your sign to post your comment or did you contribute to the good Dr.'s expenses?
Can we please get the CCID's area enlarged?
@453 - as much as it pains me to say this, I agree with you. I don't think it is going to happen, but if it does..
If the Senate rolls over and doesn't pass through a bill on the Judges, and on the Utility District, then I will (cough, cough, don't know how to say this) be on the McDaniel bus.
Granted, they can pass their own version - let it go to conference. Bring out a bill from conference that addresses these basic concepts and keeps the reality in it. Otherwise, it will show a complete lack of backbone in the Senate leadership - and that starts with Delbert.
Again, I have faith that the Senate will address both of these bills appropriately; pass out a bill that will end up in conference. And the conference report will not cave to the minority just because the leaders are "afraid". But - the message when members left the Capitol this morning was not good; some of the 'leaders' worried about the blood on the floor and wanting it wiped up before it got deeper. God willing, those that want to avoid confrontation, and that might well include Delbert, will grow a little more steel in his backbone over the weekend.
@8:29 you ain't from around here are you?
I'm sorry Mr. 8:29 PM. The over $600 million of federal funds is in the control of a Receiver; the city has no control over those dollars (nor does or will the state) based on the EPA going to FEDERAL court and telling a FEDERAL judge that the city has failed for years to properly manage the water system. The EPA (yes, that is the EPA under the Biden Administration) told a federal judge that the city has failed, and is incompetent, to run the system. The federal judge, on the recommendation of the US EPA, appointed an individual as the Receiver that has absolute and total control over the expenditure of the federal dollars that were almost simultaniously being appropriated to give the system (not Jackson, but the system) $600 million.
The state does not, will not, and no way will have control over those dollars. Yes, you can listen to and believe the folks that scream racist every other word, claiming that the state is trying to take control of those dollars. But the statute being proposed has specific language that says differently. And the appropriation bill that provided those dollars says that they must all be spent on the water system that is presently served by Jackson.
And - your funny statement of "let Jackson fix Jackson" almost caused me to gag my coffee. Jackson, under its current leadership has proven that it cannot fix anything. It doesn't pay its vendors even when trying to fix anything. Jackson has failed in every area: Zoo? A disaster and despite all the claims, still not operating under those contract managers that Chockwe was bringing in; and out of USDA compliance AGAIN; the water system - EPA in court saying they have failed for years to comply with many different orders, decrees, and every other form of notification; the sewer system under a consent decree for ten years now and no improvements being made.
Now lets go to the physically obvious - streets? Potholed filled, two machines purchased to fix them and they are not operative; nothing being done, no money being spent. Bridges - a dozen closed due to failure, and several for more than two years with no action. Sewer overflows - hundreds multiple times a month, creating daily fines from the EPA. Sewer overflows at the treatment plant and on its way - dumping millions of gallons of raw, untreated sewage into the Pearl River. Water treatment plant - no certified operators, no maintenance, no replacement of broken parts for years, absolute failure requiring eventually the state takeover and repair/replacement.
What is working where "Jackson fix Jackson"? Not in the police department when we are having the highest homicide rate in the country (not Mississippi - the country) for two years running. Not water. Not sewer. Not police. Not roads. Not bridges. So - you tell us, how is Jackson going to fix Jackson?
Knowing you won't, or can't, respond - go right ahead and support this meaningless petition.
@8:29 Football guy? Yes prime time took all our players to Colorado! It sucks.
Paltry turnout. No surprise.
Give the participants free water from Jackson, and see if they'll Drink It !!!
@8:29
Your hilarious
There is no way you’re being serious in this post. It’s comical or you’re just a true idiot. I’m a NE Jackson resident and I can tell you many jacksonians do not want the mayor in charge of water or funds.
@10:01 you nailed it politely courteously & tactfully. Great response
I thought this was some kind of parody. If you flip his first name, it is ram U Johnson. But I think this may be legit.
Only 24 marched to demand Jackson itself control federal funds. Tens of thousands of others are ready for outside management of the city.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE. Don't get your panties in a bunch over this sideshow. These guys are the ultra-radical types who show up at civil rights events to get the attention they so badly crave. Attention not credibility. Even the mayor and Bennie are embarrassed by some of these guys. They represent nobody but themselves.
The EPA (yes, that is the EPA under the Biden Administration) told a federal judge that the city has failed, and is incompetent, to run the system.
This says it all.
Free the land and water from the current administration? I think we can all get on board with that! Maybe we should just go with “Free Jackson from Lumumba”. That about covers it….water, sewer, crime, roads/bridges, zoo, blight, etc.
@10:01 BRAVO! That is the best succinct summary of the cascade of mismanagement, inaction, and blame shifting I've read about chokie and this crap hole city swirling the drain.
Grand total of 10 people signed the petition. They were trying to get 100, they got TEN. Of course in Antard's world 10% is a commanding mandate.
Sorry I missed this. How was the turn out?
In the Black community they also have the guys with the tin foil hats. These are the guys. Note the turnout.
This is a play right out of the Republic of New Afrika Handbook that his dad and Bennie Thompson wrote. When Will the feds pin him for releasing sewage into the Pearl and affecting everyone from south of Jackson to the fishing industry? And the State Department issues warnings about traveling to Mexico but won’t say a word about our own urban areas where killings occurred daily and still do! And just recently another shooting occurred on McDowell. It’s a sewer itself. It wasn’t 30 years ago I’ll tell ya that much!
Thanks, 11:41. I kept thinking that someone would surely recall the Republic of New Afrika movement, which seems to shadow a lot of what is happening in Jackson, and finally I came to your comment.
"Free the Land" is a RONA trope. It would be nice if our mayor and other Black leaders would denounce any further notions of a Black Republic in the southern states. I have the notion that the mayor's father had abandoned such radical ideas.
Did Bennie Thompson support the Republic of New Afrika movement alongside Lubumbah Sr.?
Meanwhile, sundown is befalling the Metro and Kingfish is kicked back in his hammock, enjoying a gin and tonic, smiling at the responses of you fools. His job here is done.
Promise made, promise kept.
Lumamma promised not the most radical, but the most irascible city on the planet: you mad, you shoot; you don't got, you take; you can't fix, you break. And like that.
@11:41 - But it keeps this blog afloat.
Free the black man’s mindset of “it’s always someone else’s fault” and maybe real change could happen.
@3:33 , Thompson did support Sr. There is plenty of information out there on Thompson and this subject. You have to keep in mind that there were JPD officers killed during a raid at JSU of a member that was a very close cohort of Sr and Thompson. Here is one report https://noqreport.com/2021/11/15/revealed-jan-6-commission-chairman-bennie-thompson-backed-extremist-secessionist-group-seeking-violent-u-s-takeover/
Check this brother's Wikipedia page.
Just another civil rights con artist. Funny how missing money keeps following these guys around isn't it.
