Out-Foxxed

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey issued the following statement and mug shots.

On Monday afternoon February 6, 2023, Deputy Johnson with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team made a traffic stop on a Ford Passenger Van on Interstate 20 for a traffic violation. During a roadside interview the deputy became suspicious of the discrepancies in the driver and passengers stories and requested a K-9 deputy.

Deputy Decell with his K-9 partner “Fox” responded to the traffic stop and searched the suspect vehicle. K-9 Deputy Fox alerted on the vehicle and approximately 44 Kilograms of cocaine was discovered hidden inside the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were placed under arrest for “Aggravated Trafficking of a Controlled Substance”. Both suspects were transported to the Rankin County Jail.

The driver is identified as Mario ROBLEDO- JAURIGI and the passenger as Fernando S. ARCURI.

District Attorney “Bubba” Bramlett will bring both suspects before Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow for an Initial Appearance.

This investigation continues.

What traffic violation were they charged with?

The profile of these eastbound traffickers that Rankin has been arresting on I-20 is consistent, i.e. Latinos coming from Texas. I am thinking that they are "undocumented 'immigrants'" and maybe working for a cartel. Let's go Brandon law enforcement.

@2:07 PM must be a bleeding heart from the ACLU. He would rather that coke hit the streets so that his kids and their friends could have a ready supply.

Cue the "this was the mule that the Cartel wanted us to catch/was willing to sacrifice so the REAL shipment would zip right through" guy.

The cartel's plan came together, and Rankin's boys in blue fell for it. The big shipment of 4,000 pounds of coke blew right by the traffic stop and is now in Atlanta.

@2:17 - I guess only the bleeding hearts at the ACLU respect the constitution these days. Pretty sad.

Welcome to the Hospitality State Mario and Fernando!

3:46 made me almost laugh out loud.

He does doesn't he?

If you've got proof to support your obvious belief then bring it on; otherwise shut up. The note said their conflicting stories were suspicious, so the investigation progressed.

If they drove too long in the passing lane - that's a justified reason to pull them over to educate them about Mississippi law. If their stories were suspicious, it's too bad for them.

3:28 Do you have ANY understanding of the ACLU these days? What was once an ultra-liberal champion for free speech and civil rights is now nothing more than an ultra-liberal, progressive, activist group. Heard a WORD from them about all of the demonstrable government censorship (among other civil rights violations)?

Respecters of the constitution, my ass!

3:28 PM
Remind me how the ACLU counts to 10 these days.

We could do the same thing in Jackson to get the guns and drugs off the streets but naw the Mayor and the good Pastors ain’t going for it.

Just wait until their loved ones become a victim. It’s just a matter of time.

Well 2:20 and 3:17 why don't you two experts show everyone that you have something swinging and step up to the challenge.....

My thinking of y'all is something more along the line of Shirly Temple happy hour in Fondrenville!!!!

The Rankin police didn't get lucky stopping this one seemingly random vehicle.
They were alerted ahead of time. See those cameras above I-20 down there? They are elsewhere too. Rankin has friends who tip them off as to whats coming this way.

Mexicans, out of state plates and most importantly the cameras and heads up notice.

No...all these drug busts we hear about on I-20 in thaty exact same area is due to the above.
The traffic violations are BS cover story.
Oh and the local PD gets to split the proceeds from seized merch.

The tiring-harpy who constantly suggests 'while the billion-dollar shipment breezed straight through' is full of, shall we say, horse hocky.

You think these plate readers from Texas all the way to the east coast only track ONE van?

And to 2:07 and 3:28 - You might not know it, but 'the Constitution' will not trump the testimony of an officer who says the vehicle was proceeding in erratic fashion...no matter how many blue-suited, briefcase totin', ACLU females show up in the courtroom. And no...dashboard cameras are not required by the courts.

Biden's Cartel amigos vs 'Fox' and 'Voodoo' is checkers and chess. If there was an opportunity for the ACLU commies to sue Rankin County for illegal arrest, they would in a heart beat.

It’s too bad most on here think stopping people on the road based on their skin color is a good thing. These type of arrests always have the same script. The police say there is some traffic violation, and that is the precursor to bringing out the dogs. They never elaborate on the actual traffic violation and they never charge them with any traffic violation. I wonder how many times they pull this same thing every day and come up empty handed because they were just harassing some poor family. If there was a blanket policy to pull over every white person driving and search them for drugs, they would certainly find a lot. The only thing stopping this police state behavior is the constitution and the citizens holding those officers accountable to those principles. This didn’t use to be an ultra liberal thought, but I guess it is now.

12:08 - I'll say it cuz no one else will. There are far more Latino drug traffickers (percentage and number) than there are white. There are far more Black criminals (percentage and number) than white. LEO need to go where the crime is.

Passed all the way through Hinds County… Wish it wasn’t so.

@3:45 - can you post your source? I’d love to see the actual numbers and it sounds like you’ve researched this already in order to come to your conclusion.

Who wants to bet the commenter at 3:45 is a police officer in stankin rankin?

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
