 Meet Chicageaux Mayor Brandon Johnson, a true idiot.   The school system is broke but no matter.  The Mayor wants the school board to approve a 10% pay raise for teachers, housing assistance, and other goodies that would add to the $500 million deficit projected for next year.  How dumb is this Mayor? He wants the public school district to, wait for it, take out a $300 million loan to cover the increased payroll.  He has a simple defense for his stupidity: slavery.  Yup, if you stand up to government foolishness, you support slavery.

Update: The agenda item was apparently worded poorly.  The City Council voted to approve paying CTEH for services rendered, not remediation of the "microbial growth."  Deputy Cultural & Services Director Mike Williams said the city received several proposals for remediation Friday and will soon present a contract to the City Council for approval.
