We will continue working together to hold those responsible for violent crime accountable and keep Mississippians safe.”
The arrests are the result of a coordinated investigation and enforcement effort involving the Hinds Metro SWAT Team, Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Bureau of Narcotics, and Homeland Security), Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and U.S. Marshals Service.

Eikhoff.
“ATF joins the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Claiborne County and our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in mourning the tragic loss of Deputy Bailey,” said ATF Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jason Denham. “ATF remains committed to providing every available resource and investigative capability to support this investigation and help ensure that all those responsible for this heinous act are held accountable through our justice system.”
This investigation remains open and ongoing. Additional information will be released as appropriate and when it will not compromise the integrity of the investigation. Upon completing the investigation, agents will share their findings with the District Attorney's Office. This information is preliminary and subject to change.

Going to have to build more prisons!
Going out on a limb and predicting there's a 50% chance at least one of the accused was already bonded out on a felony gun charge.
I guess these geniuses won't be able to enjoy their Rhodes Scholarships.
Dust off "old sparky."
Most of them are from Edwards and Utica.
Parents should stop trying to out do each other either these names. At least putting La in front of names have slowed down.
Y'know, a Sikorsky S-92 will carry more that 15 individuals, in comfort, to their destination. And then, there are the cargo 'copters.
AI informs me that Claiborne County is about 70 miles, by air, from the Gulf of America.
Just random observations, offered for no particular reason...
"...I did not shoot the deputy..."
Obviously, all 12 did not shoot the deputy. Appears that 12 were arrested and charged to get evidentiary testimony from 11 to convict one (or two). Expensive.
I want an attack on a LEO to be fully investigate and prosecuted, but was he shot 11 times or more? Could anyone besides the one with the gun have committed conspiracy to commit murder here? This looks like they found out who was in the crowd and charged all 11 they got names for? That's not right and not fair to those involved at all. They may all be felons or future felons, but it's still not right, and why these 11 and not the others there?
I'm sure their parents were well aware that Yehoiada (more commonly spelled Jehoiada in English translations) is a prominent biblical name from the Hebrew Bible, meaning "Yahweh knows".The name most notably refers to Jehoiada the Priest, a high priest in the Kingdom of Judah who orchestrated a righteous rebellion against the usurping Queen Athaliah. Together with his wife, Jehosheba, he hid the infant Prince Joash in the Temple for six years to save him from a royal massacre. When Joash turned seven, Jehoiada crowned him the rightful king, led the nation in tearing down the altars of Baal, and served as a godly mentor to the young ruler. Jehoiada lived to the age of 130 and was highly revered, earning a rare burial among the kings of Judah in the City of David.
Other biblical figures bearing the name include:
The Father of Benaiah: A valiant man whose son became one of King David's chief warriors and commanders.
A High Priest in Nehemiah's Time: Mentioned during the post-exilic rebuilding of Jerusalem.
Thanks @2:53
I always love some excerpts from the Pentateuch and also the Apocrypha.
If you shoot 12 spit wads at a wall one is bound to stick.
Electricity is expensive so forget old Sparky. Just burn them at the stake.
2:53 did you remeber all that from Wednesday night bible study? Or is that from cliff notes?
How many are accessories after the fact ? Drove the get away car, hid the murder weapon. Be a safer place if all are locked up for life with actual shooter getting death penalty. Bet you everyone has a record
I have 7 grandkids that are presently in college @ Hinds CC Raymond, SUNO, LSU, 2 Southern Miss, Harding University School of Pharmacy, and the University of Louisiana Monroe! When you are engaged in a meaningful task and have vision for a better life you don’t mingle with the trash!
@8:18
I am sure you are so proud (a sin btw) but have you seen what they are getting up to in America on your average university campus?
Guilty by association. Some could get shorter time, but it should be spent hammering big rocks into little rocks on the side of the road.
11:16 just pray that our Campuses are the clientele are safer! Thanks anyway.
