Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Definitely not getting my vote.
Dear gosh PLEASE no. Please. She is the worst. Literally does nothing at all to stop crime in Mississippi. I will absolutely vote Andy Gipson over her or Delburt or Philip Gunn. LOSERS!!! We have to stop running lightweight boring republicans here.
I hope she gets nominated so the democrats will win
To say she is not popular among District Attorneys is an understatement. When DA's had a conflict on a case, for years they could hand off the case to the AG who would in turn prosecute the case. However, when she assumed office, that came to an immediate halt. The DA's were forced to contact other DA's to find prosecutors who could handle their case. One example is the Corey Ferraez case where the local DA was forced to recuse, it was given to a neighboring DA, who then decided after a while he just didn't want to do it so the case languished.
she is wasting time and money........hopefully she will realize that she will need to bow out of the race quickly
Remember when she went after those Capitol PD officers? Why?? Why go after them and not the constant bullshit from the thugs in Jackson? She is AWFUL.
The positive aspect of her running for governor is that she will no longer be AG. Hopefully someone with actual legal experience will run for AG.
She doesn't even have to get new signage made because she's "For Mississippi"
True, but, to be fair, many of those conflict cases are just an excuse to dump a crappy case on to anyone else. RSS and other shoddy DAs dumped a lot of crapola on AG Hood.
I went to this woman for help as a 70+ yo homeowner that reported serious corruption at a state agency. It does affect the entire metro area. The complaint was quickly ignored and she didn't pay attention to the actual evidence presented to her. If you are the right person at an agency - nothing happens. It is pay to play at the msboc. Redacted public records. The board along with a contractor asked for my personal insurance information and there was NO warning from the 'agency'. Are they accessing homeowner's insurance documents? Why are they trying to trick elderly people? Why can they redact documents at will? This woman is not worthy of anyone's vote. I'd vote for a rattle snake before I voted for her.
Nope......
I look forward to not voting for her.
We the people of the Jackson Jambalaya comment section reject this woman’s bid to be Governor.
That should make her rethink this.
I'd vote for an empty cardboard box before I vote for her. It's far more useful than she has been or ever will be. Please, for once, don't vote based on identity politics.
Hard no. She's only got Roe v Wade to run on. That alone won't carry a primary. Though I do agree with @9:36 AM. Once she loses she will be out of government. Hooray!
How does the chessboard look to her? She is tied with Shad for the fund-raising lead. Over half of the voters are women. Dobbs will appeal to some as well. She looks at this board and guess what? It looks pretty good to her.
She’s as bad as Tater and Pheel. I suspect she’ll do as bad a job as both.
Based on how she handled the situation with her stepmother, she should get about the same percentage of votes that Carlos the clown received.
I think you all should know that she has her own desk that she takes with her when she gets a new position that will look just right for her as governor. And she will probably make the State seal prettier. Now, it might be better if she used that desk, but she learned a long time ago that her offices can run themselves. She’s more of a figurehead type of person. Isn’t that what a governor of this State is for?
So, you think her base is republican women? Big Hat will appeal to the Heehaw peas and cornbread crowd. Shad can't finish a sentence without saying Trump! So, he gets the Tea Party vote. Who is Phillip Gun's supporters? There aren't enough common-sense moderate Republicans to vote for Delbert (although he is the smartest). Remember we Republicans put Feel in office twice.
So women voters in Mississippi are a pro-life monolith? The fact that legislative Republicans are insisting that abortion challenges be banned from any resurrected initiative process says to me women aren't the advantage for Fitch you imply they may be.
Smart, maybe, but not savvy. Hosemann gets turned out to pasture as a result.
I would like to know what she has accomplished in fighting the rampant crime and corruption in Jackson and other Mississippi cities plagued by the culture rot. She is silent most of the time except about the Dobbs decision or when a Capitol PD officer takes out a thug. Or maybe when she has to throw another Women's conference for no reason. Women's Conferences, Women's Summits, Women's Workshops, etc. it never ends.
I wouldn’t vote for her to be a dog catcher.
I guess this means Sean Tindell will be running for Attorney General, he's been campaigning on the tax payers dime for well over a year now.
KF the only problem with that analysis is the assumption that Lynn knows how to play chess. Otherwise agree your chess board (or checkerboard for Lynn and her voters)
I assume when Fitch looks at a chessboard her only thought is “what are those figurines doing on my checkers board”
Remember we Republicans put Feel in office twice.
This is the strongest argument for why she could win.
So on the positive side, she won't be AG much longer. All this does is get Delbert the nomination. The Republican vote split 90 ways and crossover Dem's vote Delbert as payback for his favors. Easy to see that coming.
I thought that is what our congressional delegation does. Just figureheads, no real work.
She's fake...
Lord help us!!!! :facepalm
This women is absolutely worst than an empty chair.
I guess since Tate is going to take her seat when he term limits out she figures she has a good chance at the gubernatorial vacancy??
This field of “Republicans” is what gets a Ray Mabus elected….
I’ll vote for Gipson first. His heart is in the right place even if his bulb isn’t the brightest it’s bright enough. I’ve spoken to him many times over the years and have never gotten a weasel vibe from him.
Shad will pivot to run for AG when Lynn runs for guv
Tindell vs. Shad for AG!!
I am for Phil running again! We need his valuable leadership skills. :-))
Having worked as an attorney for both Mike Moore Jim Hood, then Fitch, I can honestly say she is a political hack at best, a bubble headed blonde at worst. She knows nothing about being an AG, what the duties and responsibilities are. She is using the office as a mere stepping stone, just as she plans (hopes) to use the Gov office. Mississippi needs to end her political career once and for all.
Right now I'd vote for Andy Gipson, as Andy Gipson did fairly ok on Mississippi's 2nd amendment rights, but I wish I had done more before becoming AG commish
No, never, absolutely not.
I thoink she'll have the high heels and banjos vote locked up tighter than Pheel's pout.
I remember when she was Director of the Personnel Board, she got DFA to convert a public bathroom into a private bathroom. She got DFA to cut a door in her office going into the bathroom.
The antithesis of fake it till you make it...
Either way you slice it, you'll have an attorney who never really practiced law...creating laws.
No one cares
One name from the past won all the state wide races she ran for except one......Governor. Remember Evelyn Gandy?
Exactly!
I don’t get the hate. It’s a toss up at this point between 4-5 candidates that don’t excite many people. But I still don’t get the hate.
things change when Duff(s) gets behind Gunn….
Sean Tindell? If so, he will join the ranks of the shiny foreheaded MC Law grads getting in line for the mansion…..
Close, 2:13, but no cigar. things change when Duff gets in the race himself.
I knew Wanda Lynn way back in the day!
@2:07 It’s just Jackson jambalaya hate and only cause lil shad is KF’s top contributor. They probably shoe shop together.
Somebody run a poll for how many of her many former employees will vote for her!
Using the chessboard analogy.. (1) she has statewide name recognition, (2) she has the money, and I am assuming financial support, (3) she can claim the Roe case before the Supreme Court, (4) as a female she'll appeal to more of the democratic community and those tired of the 'white guy' candidate...
I know she's disliked by the conservative group on this site, who I find to be more informed and intelligent than the typical MS population. At the state level she's got a puncher's chance to win it.
I don't vote for women, not ever, not for anything. Too much estrogen, too much emotion, too much feelings.
But didn’t she argue the Dobbs case in the U.S. Supreme Court? She must be pretty good.
Post any accomplishments of Lynn Fitch. I double dog dare you.
Expressing opposition to a lifelong politician is hate? Go away. You're not credible.
Do you even have an iota of a clue, or do you just feel the need to chime in regardless of your lack of knowledge? Asking for a friend, of course.
Actually, no - she didn't argue the case. And it was the legislature's action in the year before she became AG that got the case sent to the Supremes. Yes, she was AG when it won, but very little credit can be appropriately given to her; although I am sure she will take all of it.
Easy 5:08 - she got all new furniture for the Office of Personnel while she was there, and then got the Treasurer's office totally redecorated when she moved from old DGB to Woolfolk. Not just everybody can be so accomplished at interior decorating.
5:08, she's done LOTS! She's advanced the SURVEILLANCE STATE - in her own little way, hastening the day when we won't be able to do anything on the Internet, without sending all sorts of personal "identifiers" out into who-knows-where, for who-knows-who to use for who-knows-what-purposes.
In the meantime, she's prevented all sorts of Heathen womenfolk from moving to Mississippi. And she's encouraged young women to leave the state - lest they get pregnant. In fact, Saint Lynn's been so motivational, I know of families with daughters, who've chosen to seek out-of-state jobs, before pregnancy is even a possibility. ('Too Late' can creep up on ya, before you know it.)
Lynn's been a huge catalyst for change!
She hired Scott Stuart as Solicitor General (a MS first) who argued the Dobbs case - he did a great job. He’s her bulldog
Well, she is certainly off, and a fair amount, but "to the races" is not the best-rest of the phrase. Here's a hint: MS campaign finance laws and the lack thereof. Hey, she's sort of like a semi-lawyer so she knows her some laws.
If only she could get that free-loading squatter off the Smith-Wills property like she was directed to do a long time ago.
... she'll appeal to more of the democratic community and those tired of the 'white guy' candidate ...
But the Democratic party keeps nominating white guys. So the women in that 'community' are either fine with the white guys or have no influence.
All she really did vis-a-vis Dobbs was take more bows than she actually earned.
Worst AG in my lifetime, and that's saying a lot.
Whose plane is she using or is this on us?
Some people should stay where they are, like Andy Gipson. Great Ag Commissioner but not for Governor office. Fitch vs Tindell would be a fantastic race to watch since neither are liked by their state agencies.
The only person with any sense is Michael Watson. Smart move smart man. Me? I'm 4 Gunn.
Lynn always seems to win despite the naysayers.
She has fought the good ole boys every step
Her office is certainly not interested in helping everyday Mississippians. I have tried more than once to secure the help of her office on a fraud claim on a company that is in her purview. However, (and I am guessing that because there would be no cameras involved) her office told me they would not help me. Between that and how much I have learned about her character on here, I would not ever vote for Fitch.
No, Dems will not vote for a woman who supported overturning Roe vs Wade, just because she is a woman. That is ludicrous to think so. I suspect she won't need their votes; she won't get them.
"Easy 5:08 - she got all new furniture for the Office of Personnel while she was there, and then got the Treasurer's office totally redecorated when she moved from old DGB to Woolfolk. Not just everybody can be so accomplished at interior decorating."
This is so true.
I worked with this woman at one of her first semi-important positions with a state agency. I honestly don't believe she ever understood exactly what the agency did.
But one thing was a given ... she loved spending money on new furniture, and redecorating her office more than Marie Antoinette.
did at the Palace of Versailles,
Charlie Williams created this.
I'm a pro-guns, pro-Capital-Punishment, anti-Vax, anti-immigrant (legal AND illegal: we don't need ANY of them), fiscal Conservative Republican grandmother, and I, too, would find it impossible to vote for Fitch, even with that "she's a woman" thing added-in. Her Roe vs Wade stance would be enough to make me detest her. But then, there's her role in trying to end Freedom of the Internet, which is even bigger and worse than the Roe vs Wade thing.
Amen
