State Auditor Shad White issued the following statement.
Today State Auditor Shad White announced that Benjamin Coleman has pleaded guilty to one count of Fraudulent Statements and Representations.
Coleman submitted fraudulent weekly certification sheets to obtain unemployment funds from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
“My office will continue to drop the hammer on criminals who can be identified and recover as much misspent taxpayer dollars as possible,” said State Auditor Shad White.
Coleman was sentenced by the Forrest County Circuit Court to 3 years of Pre-Trial Diversion Program and ordered to pay a total of $2,824 in restitution and $175 in fines.

Sounds more like Trump than a Harvard educated man.
Hammer........ LOL
This must have been one of the DoD-type $2,824 hammers. Shame on Shadrack for bringing down such an expensive hammer.
If that's dropping the hammer, what is a slap on the wrist going to look like? Oh, I know. What the former Governor got.
low hanging fruit
This is a puppy shit amount fraud for Employment Security.
Even before covid, there was millions of dollars of MDES unemployment fraud every year.
I'm so glad Shadrack charged in on his white stallion to the rescue.
Queue the “low hanging fruit” Shad Haters Club….
Low hanging fruit comment/s in 3, 2, 1...
True dat.
3:26 is right. Considering that Harvard has a history of DEI admissions over merit, and considering that 80-85% of grades at Harvard are "A"s, then subject-verb agreement from a Harvard graduate cannot be assumed.
Pretrial diversion = joke. NO PRISON but a sissy ass "I am sorry".
Didn't this bubba in a suit also possibly graduate from the WRONG Oxford?
The Oxford where you fly WEST for hours get to the Yankee's home games?
The St Johns College at the University of Oxford founded in 1555 and you get there on British Air?!
The Oxford where the locals think gumbo means you want the large size?
The Oxford where they think catfish comes in a can for the cat?
The Oxford where the locals think Red Snapper is...well ...NEVER MIND ON THAT ONE!
Just askin!
Little Man syndrome is real
He likes to toot his own horn, does’nt He?
The closer we get to the election, the more embarrassing Shad becomes.
Even Washington, DC, doesn't want Shadrack. Looks like we are stuck with the little guy.
It's clear most of you don't understand college/university admission standards. For at least a half century, the high school ranking has been a major influence on admissions, especially at Ivy League Schools and major universities (all of them). A Valedictorian at a private school or highly ranked state public school got more " points" for grades than the one at small, public school in any state. The "exceptions" were applicants with wealthy parents and better yet, wealthy parents who were alums. We put too much value on money and race and too little on achievements, ethics and intelligence.
It's also true Ivy League was often more Pass/Fail as with most students the wouldn't get in unless they were exceptionally, bright, exceptionally talented, and/or exceptionally wealthy! A poor family's child had to be at the top of his or her class , have near perfect ACT/SAT score, write well , be well mannered and engaging in an interview, and presentable.
Y'all don't even know you arguing for against your own state high school graduates getting into Harvard or any Ivy League school and staying there and bringing back wealth and skills back here. Some of you rednecks damn near ran off more than a few who came back here to give back.
Change the law to give the Auditor oversight of cities.
What a goober
Speaking of DEI admissions, a guy from MS named "Shadrack White," and Harvard, which is way up in the Nawth and plumb-slap full of Yankees BTW, what makes anyone so sure that ol' Shad wasn't a DEI admission? Come on now, admit it, even native 'sippians: no matter what color your skin is, when you hear, "Shadrack White from down Missisip way," you ain't picturing Thurston Howell, VI.
