On the first day of the session this year, the lobbyist for SPLC was carrying a Louboutin purse and of course the heels. But what really got my attention was that the heels had a strange vamp decoration that had the Louboutin "L" logo. It caught my eye because Louboutin's don't usually have a visible logo, the red bottom is how you know. Never seen that before so later I looked it up. Apparently SPLC needed $800 accessories for their $1100 heels to match the $1800 Cabata tote. What else does one wear to march on the Capitol to fight against the rights of impoverished black parents to choose their kid's school?

$822M will solve a lot of poverty issues......

The groups that travel and/or run local offices in every state have big expenses. And, some political groups have legal advisors and accountants and lawyers at the central office.
I keep saying it, get rid of political parties. Make serving as President and serving in Congress an honor again, not a paying job. You could make the salary for public office pay be the amount of earnings those holding national or state executive jobs claimed as taxable the previous year.

Sorry, 12:50, but you missed the point. The salaries are outrageous no matter the ideology they’re pushing, but the whole issue is they are funding the other side just to keep themselves in business. If a conservative group was caught secretly funding pro-crime DAs, transgender treatments for minors, and DEI seminars just to have something to fundraise against, the would be no hypocrisy at all - conservatives would be howling mad.

EVERY state official, state lawyer, state judge, top to bottom, are absolutely scared to death of the SPLC. Their big-city attorneys fly into town in a law firm's private jet saying JUMP! The state asks when, where, how high and how much can we (the state) pay to make this complaint go away. It never ends, as soon as complaint is settled, the SPLC pops up with another, wac-a-mole style. SPLC does have in-state minions but that's not the real power/money behind the group.
