Mississippi's Education grifter: Nancy Loome's 'Parents' Campaign' just pays herself for no results.
Im not an accountant nor can I read a tax return. So I'm just gonna let others comment and tell me whats goings on and how to form my opinion.
What about the Mississippi Center for Public Policy? Oh I forgot, they are your suck buddy.
I'm with you 9:28, pour another cup of coffee and I'll pour one, too, and wait with you!
Look at the conspiracy!!! 501c3's have to publicly produce their tax returns!!!! I worked at some farms that make more money than these combined. Reminder to blur out your house on google maps and change the name on your deed/mortgage to make it harder for people to find out where you live. We are going to be able to find out how many times a day people take a shit in a couple of years
Look, I am sure you are a smart guy. You know what revenue is, right? You know what an expense is, right? IF so, you can read through it. You don't need to be a CPA to understand it.
@9:16AM: School choice hasn't passed in the Legislature. I expect the Parents' Campaign awareness efforts have had something to do with that.
I see that one of MS Center for Justice's platforms is to fight for "economic justice". Can someone within this organization explain that term and how you go about fighting it?
As long as the gubment continues to excell at theft and failure.........
The lobbyists posting that the parent’s campaign is left wing is lying. Look at the 990. Janie Jarvis is not a left wing liberal. In Madison she is a well known conservative. Hank Boinds is not some liberal. The school choice crowd is full of it and a lot of people or waiting to vote against those that fell prey to their ignorance and bullying. You can’t fool all the people all the time. We see you lobbyists for what you are, and we know we need a new speake
Only in the non-profit world do people make $300,000 to run a $5 million dollar company.
Call me an accounting nerd, but one thing that stood out: RTS pays an out of state accounting firm (Forvis of Dallas, TX) $130K for their audit/tax services. And the "tax services" are simply completing the 990 form, b/c as a non-profit, RTS doesn't pay taxes. You'd think they would at least try to keep some of those dollars in the ole home state - and maybe save a few dollars as a result.
Also of note: This was a 2023 filing, and they paid $118K for security services. I would imagine that bill will go way down now that they moved from Clinton Blvd to NE Jackson.
@10:24 I would imagine they were using BKD before it was acquired by Forvis. No idea, just an assumption. If I had the same tax accountant for years I wouldn't want to change just because their firm was bought out by an out of state firm.
9:16 She has tremendous results and is one of the most powerful education voices in Mississippi. How can a human being be so misinformed in the modern age ?
It all depends what the plan is, and who gets paid is sometimes part of the 'non-profit' plan.
The really slimy stuff goes on in some of the 'churches' that keep their pastors in nice homes and cars and private jets. Praise The Lord and pass the plate.
ITYKY!
That’s cute 9:53am. But no.
Schools who have built a culture of disciple and accountability over years are not down with the introduction of a new element into the mix. And if you make kids go to school and you use limited tax dollars to pay for what we have, people aren’t down with sending those dollars to a private school. Blame Nancy but that is a just a red herring for the real situation.
It's the unscrupulous non-profits that give the other 1% a bad reputation!
