A reader asked JJ to post a reward for the indentification of someone who tried to break into his mother's home.
The reader said the perp came to his mother's home on East Northside Drive (past Ridgewood) at approximately 7 AM yesterday. The would-be burglar tried the front and back doors but without success. The elderly woman did not answer the door. Her son-in-law was alerted by the door-cam and asked the man what he wanted. Upon hearing the male voice, the man promptly ran for his car, a white Sienna with a roof rack, and drove away.
The reader said JPD has been "no help whatsoever" and offered a $200 reward to anyone who can successfully identify this man. Send info to kingfish1935@gmail.com and it will be forwarded to the reader. Thanks.

The mayor should seriously address the issues with JPD. Sounds like they’re getting worse.
Jackson is LOST.
Could be a thief. Or a bro country wanna be.
The new police chief is a total loon. No real world experience. Mr mayor, you screwed up big time. Capitol police is the citizens only hope
welp! that would be intruder is an idiot. Seriously, wearing a cross while you attempt a break in... Lawdie! hope he asked for forgiveness and more in his last prayers.
Jackson is hopeless
The truth is the mayor doesn’t know what to do
I saw a uniformed JPD Officer in his marked patrol car having his groceries loaded in the back seat of his vehicle at 10:00 am yesterday at the Kroger in Clinton. Had to be on duty since that time of day is no where close to a shift change. I started to take a picture but thought nobody cares. I’m sure there are good officers but the majority don’t care anymore.
