This woman is like her boss, 100% totally incompetent. I've rarely seen such incompetence on full display, except for Biden, of course.

She also refused to confirm that there was a single shooter but she did confirm that the secret service sniper only fired one shot...hmmm.

A few questions that remain, out of many, are:

-How many casings were found on the roof?
-Who made the explosive devices and from what materials?
-How in the heck can they claim there was one shooter when the audio shows at least a second shooter, in addition to Crooks and secret service...

This hearing obviously conflicted with her pedicure appointment. Very rude of Congress.

We all know this, and the damage control happening now, was an orchestrated hit and it failed because he turned his head. Even a blind person could see this.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I tend to agree with you. Trump was not supposed to survive this. A bunch of Boy Scouts could have done a better job of making sure this site was secure. How does a 20 year old kid get within 150 yards from an elevated position with a loaded rifle in broad open daylight?

But to equate incompetent management of a federal bureaucracy to the 'type of crap they've done against the former president" -- I assume you mean the criminal charges brought against him for violating the Presidential Records Act, obstructing justice in a federal investigation, tampering with elections, attempting to bribe/threaten an election official, inciting an insurrection, and trying to overthrow democracy -- kinda hard to put her incompetent management in the same category. Would be hard to do even if she were the one on site calling the shots as to the security perimeter, placing responsibility among the local LEOs, etc (which she wasn't) but even then until there is a proven conspiracy the implicates the SS in a plot you can't get to your connection.

If you have not worked in Fed Law Enforcement or the Intell Community, you'd think she's an aberration. She's not. She's the average mediocre type who goes into management at the FBI and USSS and ATF etc. Not smart. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University where she majored in sociology with a concentration in criminal justice. The mopes in Federal LE who volunteer for management were mediocre students in "criminal justice" who got tired of patrol and wanted to double their pay becoming "an Agent."

Not willing to sacrifice. Out for themselves and other "management." Ask a Street Agent. They will cough up a Street Agent or bottom ranked manager to sacrifice.

Go to look at the few reports where the agencies are forced to investigate why managers and Senior Executive Service members get away with murder. She won't resign, but will suddenly "retire" with impunity later. And their junior managers are equally weak, morally and physically.

So when you ask how a "Goon Squad" can arise in a local Sheriff's Office, ask yourself how mediocre desk riding managers in Fed agencies are easily able to shut out all outside oversight using "clearance" or "protection" or "sources and techniques," and are able to cover up all the fiascoes.

And the Street Agent motors on under these dunces. They are to take the bullet, while the empty suits as they are called take all the promotions and credit when things go good. And they hide under a rock with impunity when things go bad. NO leadership, with some rare, and greatly appreciated, outliers. They will tire a journeyman Agent and a bottom level Supervisory Special Agent AT MOST. Most likely, they will obfuscate, lie, destroy evidence, and issue boilerplate nothing for years and years. And no one will be fired or demoted.

I loved watching Senator Fallon from TX ask questions? I really found his telling how he re-created the same scenario in TX taking 16 shots at same level bldg etc, of which 15 were kill shots with one being the ear shot. He admitted the 20 year old was a better shot than him & had not shot an AR in over 6 years. I believe the shooter had help because it was no coincidence that there was no one checking explosives, snipers on the bldg, people allowed in restricted areas. That is not failure when additional request for additional security was DENIED knowing IRAN had ordered a hit on Trump! Kimberly Cheatle should have already been fired and criminally charged! IMO

I think some of you should have paid more attention to the questions. It was "showboating", not trying to find ways to prevent a future tragedy. It was obvious few of them understood local and state law enforcement have a "say" in "who does what".

Worse, some of the questions if they had been answered would give too much information to a smarter wannabe assassin.

Bashing the Secret Service that still hasn't lost a President since Kennedy isn't useful. It's a tough job. The Secret Service sniper obviously did his job in a very few heartbeats. The guys on stage did their jobs quickly.

The focus should be on what the congressionally mandated rules and regulations are and how they can be improved especially when there are boundaries and when local law enforcement is limited in their ability to police their areas.

Indeed, every community in which a candidate speaks, open carry is legal. And every place has some mentally ill loner who wants attention and to feel less powerless.

These members of Congress were trying to get attention for themselves not trying to learn if they can pass legislation to reduce/ prevent future mistakes.

Friend, it took an act of GOD for Trump to not be a dead man. It had nothing to do with the Secret Service. You should understand that, and you should stop singing their praises.

There was not only an unsecured roof vantage perch (which the shooter used) but also an unprotected water tower that was within striking distance of Trump's stage, as well. Cheatle could as easily enabled a democrat to be shot, so House oversight condemnation was remarkably bipartisan.

Anyone who entertains the idea that hundreds of highly-trained, very capable, and extremely intelligent people could - COULD, not "would" - engage in a conspiracy to do...well, anything, is an idiot. Anyone who actually thinks a bunch of ill-trained, incompetent people of barely average intelligence could engage in a conspiracy to assassinate a presidential candidate is too ignorant to be an idiot. And anyone who believes in such things as put forth by those seeking to use them for their own ends is a useful sub-idiot.
