The Ridgeland Police Department issued the following statement and mug shots.
Monday evening Ridgeland PD Officers located a stolen Honda Accord near Old Canton Road and attempted to apprehend the driver. The vehicle fled and the pursuit was terminated due to the danger to our motorists. Madison County Sheriff’s Department Deputies located the stolen Accord on the Natchez Trace where it fled from them back into the jurisdiction of Ridgeland. Efforts to disable the vehicle were made and the vehicle continued into Jackson and the pursuit was again terminated to protect the public.
Officers located the stolen Honda Accord today, Tuesday, 9/12, at approximately 3:12pm, near South Wheatley Street in the City of Ridgeland. The suspect, when officers attempted to stop the stolen Accord, fled once again. His erratic driving placed the public in danger and the pursuit was once again terminated to protect other motorists. The vehicle was spotted on Lenard Avenue by a Department of Public Safety helicopter who alerted our units to the area. Ultimately, our K9 and K9 Handler apprehended all three suspects after the driver attempted to flee in the stolen vehicle by driving on the railroad tracks that run parallel to Highway 51 in Ridgeland.
The driver is a juvenile and he has been detained in a Juvenile Detention Center. The other suspects were charged as adults. Mugshots and charges are attached.
Special thanks to the MS Department of Public Safety and to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. Without the teamwork of multiple agencies these dangerous criminals would still be at large.

There should be a state law that if you’re underage and commit a felony then your mugshot should be made public. It’s only right. The public has a right to know who these criminals are even if they are underage. If he was driving and was placing the public in danger then he is old enough to suffer the consequences.
So how many additional crimes did the “no chase policy” allow them to commit? The only reason they were caught is the wreck because they thought they were being chased. That seems like an awful plan, RPD.
After viewing their photos, I find it hard to believe that he is 18 and she is 19.
Don’t even think about coming into Ridgeland.
39212… south Jackson. I live in NE Jackson and quite frankly I’m sick of all the criminals from canton and south and west Jackson passing through NE Jackson Madison ridgeland areas committing crime. I’m so sick of it. Also I’m glad they were busted in Madison co because it’s our best option that they won’t walk.
I know criminals of this nature are not normally the sharpest knife in the drawer, but how low of an IQ do you have to return to the area this many times in the same stolen vehicle?
North East Jackson has just as many criminals as any other part of Hinds, Madison or Rankin counties.
Who knows, 8:08am, you could be one of them ! !
There is no No Chase Policy involved. RPD stopped pursuit out of an abundance of care for involving innocent civilians. That said, all three need to be charged with Felony Fleeing as well as Malicious Mischief-Felony for tearing up the stolen vehicle.
I agree with the other posters statement about the juvenile. If He/She is involved in any felonious activity, picture should be up on the board as well.
@8:43
Only thing I’m guilty of is being accused of being a loan shark because I have payday loan stores in Mississippi and Louisiana. Just do what the law tells me I can do. Nothing illegal goes on. Is that why you’re telling me I’m a criminal? I work hard have 3 sons at JA and enjoy a nice lifestyle and my family. Thanks for being smug.
September 13, 2023 at 8:43 AM, must have struck a nerve.
Jeezus, these people. Don’t they even know, a mind is a terrible thing to waste?
Idiots all-
Many people must think thugs and thieves are especially stupid and are incapable of learning. I will agree they are not the most intelligent but even they can learn if they flee from the cops they stand a very good chance of getting away. Why would they stop when they know if the drive faster the cops will stop chasing them. I am beginning to think the thugs and thieves are more intelligent than those who have the job of protecting us.
Don't know why KF will allow a senseless troll like 8:43, with no contribution, to post and then allow the same poster (obvious) to act like someone else liked their previous post. Think everybody sees that... except KF.
9:02, Look in the mirror. When you point your finger there are always 3 pointing back at you.
Smug is as Smug does.
I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for my husband when the helicopter started circling and police cars started swarming the area. Soon after multiple officers ran past my car chasing one of these criminals. Within minutes they had him in handcuffs. Ridgeland PD and all the assisting agencies handled this phenomenally.
The police report says the man was born in Starksville, MS.
Excellent example of good police work.
