More U.S. intelligence concludes the Covid-19 pandemic originated in a lab. The Wall Street Journal reported:
The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.
The shift by the Energy Department, which previously was undecided on how the virus emerged, is noted in an update to a 2021 document by Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’s office.
The new report highlights how different parts of the intelligence community have arrived at disparate judgments about the pandemic’s origin. The Energy Department now joins the Federal Bureau of Investigation in saying the virus likely spread via a mishap at a Chinese laboratory. Four other agencies, along with a national intelligence panel, still judge that it was likely the result of a natural transmission, and two are undecided.
The Energy Department’s conclusion is the result of new intelligence and is significant because the agency has considerable scientific expertise and oversees a network of U.S. national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research.....
Yet no confirmed animal source for Covid-19 has been identified. The lack of an animal source, and the fact that Wuhan is the center of China’s extensive coronavirus research, has led some scientists and U.S. officials to argue that a lab leak is the best explanation for the pandemic’s beginning.
U.S. State Department cables written in 2018 and internal Chinese documents show that there were persistent concerns about China’s biosafety procedures, which have been cited by proponents of the lab-leak hypothesis. Article.
However, the agency said it had "low confidence" in its assessment while the FBI stated it had "moderate confidence" in its own assessment.
Kingfish note: The truth continues to emerge after the so-called experts and big tech tried to shut down any and all discussion of the origins of the Wuhan virus. Of course, know we know that Dr. Fauci and his cronies were trying to cover up their roles in gain-of-function research.

But, what is most telling is that they have NEVER found ground zero -- the animal, or string of animals, that brought the virus naturally into the human mainstream. That combined with its contagiousness right off the bat, support the lab theory.

AND, if you want extra suspicious, this administration knowing that the virus came from a Chinese Lab, wouldn't want to risk downing a balloon over US soil. Especially a balloon that might have a weaponized virus on board.

If they were honest, I wager most intel is low confidence. They just chose to pin the moniker proudly on this one since it benefits them. Regardless, I can read the words and use my basic intelligence to apply the term to the data.

Pres. Trump was muscling China into dealing fairly on trade and the democrats were foiled in every farcical attempt to run him out of office. And they were headed toward obliteration in 2020.

A “low confidence level”, generally indicates that the information used in the analysis is scant, questionable, fragmented, or that solid analytical conclusions cannot be inferred from the information, or that the IC has significant concerns or problems with the information sources.

Just to point out a few things...
Lawrence Livermore National Lab is connected to the Dept. of Energy and part of the national security infrastructure. Ignoring the "low confidence" aspect for the purposes of discussion, even if the source of the initial infections originated from a lab leak, that is not the same thing as the virus "originating in a lab" nor the pandemic being the direct and inescapable result of a lab leak. There are essentially two theories: a lab "leak" in the form of zoonosis occurring in the lab with the "leak" being one or more people infected at the lab then transmitting it to others outside the lab, or "natural" zoonosis outside of the lab. Essentially no one with any real education, training, and experience in virology thinks SARS-CoV-2 was a "weaponized" virus or intentionally released by the CCP. From the standpoint of the reaction and results after zoonosis, the precise "ground zero" - zoonotic spillover in a lab or a market - doesn't really matter. And it is possible that both occurred over a short period of time.
That said, there is no serious debate that the Chinese government, i.e., the CCP, handled this very badly from the beginning. The CCP's poor handling of the initial infections, leak or natural, let this thing get much further along than if they had been more open and gotten the worldwide scientific and medical communities involved immediately. But the reactions of other governments and especially the people around the world weren't controlled by the CCP. Taking medical and prevention advice from idiots on social media killed a lot of people in the US, and the CCP can't be blamed for that.
The Energy Department, a wholly useless building full of bureaucrats, investigating the Wuhan Flu origin is sort of like our State Auditor releasing his opinions on the job market and 'brain drain'.

A double blind study proved your "alternative" did not even reduced symptoms or duration in vaccinated humans.
Neither Trump nor Biden ( both old) were treated with worm or malaria treatment though I seem to remember Trump claiming he was using the malaria treatment as a " preventive" until it didn't work.
Repeated research confirms that vaccination reduces hospitalization and death from Covid.
Nor did the use of either treatment stem the rate of cases in 2020. Vaccinations clearly did.
So, it's logical to conclude that many of those who did died weren't vaccinated or tried one of the bogus treatments and were hospitalized too late if not just total denial and assumed an "extra bad cold" and died at home.
Then there's been all the media testimony from the relatives of those who died who tried " alternatives", but no money to fund the research to get an exact number.
You couldn't connect dots on those restaurant placemats for kids, could you?
