A misleading ad about Jackson's water is making the rounds on Instagram.
This ad has popped up several times on Instagram and social media. It is definitely not true. The city of Jackson did not switch its drinking water source. The city turned on a pumping station that served part of south Jackson. The pumping station was turned off a year later and customers went back to being served by their original wells.
The ad simply is not true.

The city should sue for libel. Name Facebook as well since they are profiting from selling the ad space.
Ok. Doesn't change the FACT that pipes servicing the city are old, nasty and unsafe to drink over time. Hell, this countries water supply may be reason everything is so messed up these days. Diminished IQ.
Post the rest of the add so the plaintiff's bar can have its fun.
Damn plaintiff's lawyers will try anything to get a lead.
This doesn't change the fact that I get a letter from the CoJ Water dept every month that they violated another lead/copper contamination level. The CoJ just doesn't care that their citizens are drinking toxic water.
Joe Biden’s plan to increase spending on infrastructure includes an effort to replace all lead pipes.
Ambitious goal.
the last time i had tap water in jackson, it came out with a brownish tinge. the city assured me it was normal and fine. this was in belhaven heights.
it was not normal and fine.
Sounds like they're confusing/overlapping what happened in Jackson with Flint, Michigan which did switch the source of its water.
The government can't sue for libel or slander. You also can't defame the government.
It's got a little wang to it! (See American Graffiti)
@1:33
Wrong movie. (It was Hollywood Knights)
Remember DaDa Dabinski, the famous one-armed violinist?
King: You're wrapped around the axle of semantics. The facts of the ad are correct regarding the exposing of children and others to potential lead poisoning. Why whistle past the graveyard?
OMG 5:24, Hollywood Knights is the classic of all classics. Now I'm going to have to watch it again. Tubby's!
