JPD Chief Rashall Brackney is providing an update on the The Hideaway homicide case. The press conference is live streamed below.
* Ridgeland arrested Collier in September for being a convicted felon with a weapon. He has not reported to his probation officer since earlier this year.
* "How does an individual with this type of history continue to have access to the streets of Jackson?" she asked.
* Reporter: Initial reports said two shooters were present. Chief gave a non answer. Understandable.
*Anthony Warren asks if this was a retaliatory act. Chief declined to answer.
* The owners of The Hideaway have been "extremely cooperative."
* The Chief was unaware of the nuisance lawsuit when asked about it.
* Collier was wearing a monitor.

public safety depends on swift, certain, and consistent consequences
Did she answer on why JPD didn’t respond to the uber driver calling.
Jackson is a wild Wild West! Anything goes! So glad I moved !
Why was he not violated and revoked?
Is this a failure of Burl Cain's MDOC?
Isn't this same location sometimes the OK Corral? Literally a promoter doing business as the OK Corral at this location?
"How does an individual with this type of history continue to have access to the streets of Jackson?" she asked.
Any JPD Chief asking this specific question shouldn't be taken seriously. God save Jackson from this sort of stupidity.
if you miss a probation officer meeting, the police need to come drag their ass in
Are there no white people employed by this department? She always appears with from two to eight black employees, some uniformed, some not, none white.
She emphasizes Eddie's bond as if that's some sort of answer to the crime in the city she commands. Put two damned patrol cars at each club, each manned with two or three LEO and orders for none of them to communicate (chat) with the club customers.
All of her yada yada is irrelevant chatter. It's beyond humorous that she comments on 'catch and release' in another community.
