Jackson Mayor John Horhn issued the following statement.
“The City Council is responsible for establishing and enforcing the rules governing its chambers. While that responsibility rests with the Council, we expect all city officials and residents who participate during public comments to conduct themselves with proper decorum and treat others with respect while conducting the people’s business.
Disagreements are part of public service, but they should never become personal attacks or disrespectful exchanges. Our residents deserve a city government that can work through difficult issues without losing sight of why we are here, to serve them.
Our young people are watching. We must set the right example through our words and our actions, especially when we disagree. We owe that to them and to everyone who calls Jackson home.”

These young people witness similar conduct at home and in school-- so why not with elected officials?
Choose one grifters opinion over another, is this the choice that we must make?
Actually, the woman said Stokes would sell out his own mama. That’s not talking about his mama, then, or her character; rather, it’s her perception of Stokes and HIS character. Stokes, apparently, was simply triggered when he heard the word “mama.” That’s how it looks to me, but then, bless God, I don’t come out of the rich vibrancy of that culture.
Ok but he didn’t actually say anything TO Stokes or directly ABOUT Stokes.
Stokes has entertainment value and has seen the light regarding AI Data Centers which can massively benefit nearby infrastructure, police and schools. Proper negotiating is necessary and only Hartley and Foote are worthy of a seat at that table, along with professional City planners.
