Was the murder of two men on Spanish Court last week a case of street justice?
The Capitol Police reported finding two deceased men shot to death at the Spanish Court residence last week. The Hinds County Coroner said the "victims" were Jamiri Francis and Montrell Smith.
Simply put, Francis is a drug dealer. JPD arrested him for drug dealing or possession of drugs no less than five times over the years.
Montrell stands accused of murder. WLBT reported in December 2021 that JPD arrested Montrell for the murder of a teen in 2020 and charged him with murder and armed robbery of a business.
The Hinds County grand jury indicted Montrell for first-degree murder and in January 2022. The indictment states:
on or about the 27th day of August, 2020, in the First Judicial District of Hinds County did willfully, knowingly, and feloniously, at 3905 Thomas Catchings Drive in Jackson, MS, without the authority oflaw, kill another human being, Austin Green with deliberate design to effect the death of Austin Green by shooting Austin Green with an unknown caliber firearm...
The case has not been adjudicated as it limps along from continuance to continuance.

"Simply put, Francis is a drug dealer."
"Montrell stands accused of murder."
To quote Inspector Clouseau, "Newt eeny-myur..."
Murder suicide or they shot each other to death? Or there was a third party involved who lived to escape? Not JJ's fault but very vague reporting.
So Montrell Smith was indicted for murder but out on the street?
How can a man be indicted for murder and be on the street? The state legislature should pass a law prohibiting a judge from allowing the release.
"The case has not been adjudicated as it limps along from continuance to continuance. "
As sometimes happens in some parts of Hinds County Mississippi.
Now they need a permanent continuance.
Gang wars?
I think that it's Montrell's mom who posted on her FB page all gleeful about the Black Panthers descending on Jackson several weeks ago to issue a warning to whites to stop all that lynching. Kinda ironic. Do they really not know they are killing each other?
8:00, simply put, no. No they don't. It's always someone else's fault.
No. They really are that stupid.
If the law will not do their job someone else has to step up in their place.
The level of low-rentness in which that culture lives is hard to conceive
The Judges know exactly what they are doing! Just think, why would anyone keep letting killers out into YOUR communities?
The cheapest justice is street justice amongst the thugs.
