The Ellis Theater is proud to welcome one of country music’s biggest stars, Lainey Wilson, for two special fundraiser performances on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The evening will feature two intimate shows at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the historic Ellis Theater in downtown Philadelphia. Proceeds from these special performances will go towards the completion of the Congress of Country Music, a world-class country music museum and performing arts center.
“Lainey Wilson is a vibrant performer who is blazing through the country music world today,” said Marty Stuart, Grammy-winning Country Music Hall of Famer and founder of the Congress of Country Music. “She’s authentic, she’s fearless, and she has become a touchstone figure to so many of her fans around the world. They trust Lainey with their hearts and their stories.”
Wilson has spent the past several years building an impressive career at the top of country music. The Grammy Award winner, Grand Ole Opry member, and 12-time CMA Award winner has earned nine No. 1 singles, including "Heart Like a Truck," "Watermelon Moonshine" and "4x4xU." Wilson just headlined Stagecoach music festival, released the deluxe edition of Whirlwind, and is currently on a run of stadium shows with Chris Stapleton. Now, she'll bring that same unmistakable sound to the Ellis Theater for an evening of intimate acoustic performances.
Known for bringing unforgettable experiences to one of the country's most intimate venues, the Ellis Theater continues to welcome some of the biggest names in music to downtown Philadelphia, Mississippi. Wilson's acoustic performances will give fans the chance to see her live in a setting unlike any other.

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 7, at 10 a.m. More information will be available at ellistheater.org.

While my wife and I would enjoy seeing Lainey Wilson in concert, with only 500 seats at the Ellis Theater, the ticket prices are probably more than most of us can afford.

Can't wait for all the comments complaining about how expensive the tickets are while ignoring that this concert is clearly promoted as a fundraiser.

Hush Kingfish, quit posting these events. Don't want the folks like 12:55 checking them out and leaving the good seats to those of us that recognize the Ellis as the great venue it is.
There is always going to be at least one who feels the need to inform the rest of us how cool they are for not knowing current popular musicians.

I love Marty Stuart and the Ellis is a wonderful venue.
Question: Is that Lainey's real voice/accent? Having lived in the south all of my life with friends in Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia... I have never heard such an exaggerated country southern accent and can't help thinking it's put on as a part of her image to go along with her hats and tight bell bottoms.
People should appreciate Marty Stuart and his loyalty and love for his hometown of Philadelphia, MS. He took our small town dilapidated theater in which we attended movies as small children and refurbished it into a grand small and intimate venue. Along with that, he is planning the Congress of Country Music to display his own collection of country music memorabilia there, the largest personally owned by any one individual ever. His collection of articles numbers into the thousands. This is an awesome gesture by a Mississippi native son and artist who has already put Philadelphia on the music trail map for visitors far and wide.
And for the person who did not know who Lainey Wilson is, have you ever heard of Dolly Parton? She has played there!!
And, no, I am not a marketing consultant for Marty…just an old friend who has known him since childhood and knows his heart for his hometown. He is one of the good guys who made it big but hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
I know people in Mississippi who sound just like her (talking, not singing).
