9:06 doesn’t know his history. Churchill was in the political wilderness until Germany invaded Poland and wasn’t PM until after the invasion of France and the low countries. Britain’s fate was sealed by Chamberlain and the appeasers. Churchill was the hero of western civilization. It was inevitable that the USA and USSR would emerge from the war as the super powers and Britain’s role diminished. That was known beforehand. Keeping Britain in the war alone after France surrendered took huge stones. Huge.
