The only thing the House Accountability, Efficiency and Transparency Committee seems to be efficient at is killing bills -- and will little to no "transparent" explanation. Check that committee's record, it is the killing ground and graveyard for bills.

I think this was more likely someone retaliating by killing a completely unrelated bill, after his own bill didn't pass, for completely unrelated reasons.

Cell phones should not be banned from possession in classrooms until classrooms are made safe from bullies and active shooters. Phones should be put away during class and only accessed for emergencies. If a phone is brought out for social use, it is confiscated by the teacher and can only be reclaimed by the parent or guardian.

The legislators are acting like 4 year old children because they get their little feelings hurt. I wish JUST ONE would stand up to House Leadership and publicly call this adolescent behavior out for what it is. But of course they ran to " help the people "......

Don’t worry we under pay our teachers but our student athletes have pay that is exempt from state tax. U can’t make this crap up! It is real in Mississippi. Our leaders promote all the wrong values. Complements of the good ole boy system. It’s so stupid, it’s comical.
