Kiffin Tweets!
It's getting nasty up in Oxford.
Update: Kiffin tweeted:A website of news, commentary, culture, & jackassery in the Jackson, Mississippi area.

Can someone please tell me how many assistants coaches he took with him? Is Judge leaving?
I don’t blame him for leaving for more money BUTT he should had and could had given ole miss notice before leaving. Now ole miss is in the playoffs without there head coach and some assistant coaches. This isn’t fair to ole miss the players and fans
The players are paid employees and the fans wear culottes…best wishes and choke on a chicken finger.
He may be lining them up, but Chancellor Boyce & AD Carter are saying "Not so fast guys."
Thought Kiffin had changed but guess not. What happens if he doesn’t win national championship at LSU in 3-4 years? Will they fire him also?
If he really cared, he should have told LSU you can have me when the Ole Miss season ends.
The Ole' Missus' leadership is in charge of absolutely nothing. They need to quit posturing like they are. Like the old Bob Seger song "Night Moves"....."I used her, she used me, and neither one cared - we were gettin' our share".
To the nobodies Carter and Boyce - Consequences are a rarely lubed cactus.
Ole Piss and cow college will always the doormat for the elite schools in the SEC.
It’s all on three things: The NCAA, the conferences, and the agents.
Oh, and let’s hold these coaches accountable for their ethics.
I do not care about LSU or OM. I just think it’s funny that OM people thought Kiffin had “changed” with his sobriety and hot yoga.
Kiffin is exactly who he is. When he posted self-help quotes and other nonsense, Rebel fans ate it up. “He’s one of us now”!
Yeah, pound sand OM.
You get what you get.
No conference championship. Nothing sustainable.
Go back to your delusions that Oxford is a destination job for any coach r that that town is anywhere people across this nation want to live.
The only people that want to be there are students that could not get into Big 10 or ACC schools and people from Jackson.
12:26 - I thought the Chancellor and AD said - if you are going to leave, leave now! Little different than "not so fast guys", but what do either of us know.
Question is - how many and which ones were on the second plane (you know, the ones that never left Baton Rouge) headed south?
I’m done with college football. Done.
Jees - his kids must be like, "Um - dad, we gotta get outta here now....", and Kiffin's telling them, "Relax guys, first you make the fuck you money, then you do as you please". Great dad. sar/
12:46 has one of the worst cases of RDS (Rebel Derangement Syndrome) I’ve seen. He did leave off one group of people who want to be in Oxford: those that want to win Egg Bowls.
Hey, Rebel faithful, its time for Kiffen to stop crapping all over you, open your mouths…
Ole Mess is the new Vanderbilt. You can expect your University of Northern Mississippi to be the SEC’s dishrag for the next few decades.
1:03,
Hulu has on the FCS, D2, and D3 playoffs where there is a lot less nonsense.
Doom and gloom and gnashing of teeth. What the hell? Lane has never won any hardware. Why is he suddenly the icon of football? Move on. There are lots of coaches who won't cost the state's budget and still get the job done. It's like the dumbasses who think only Trump can save America. C'mon LSU and Ole Miss get real. Jeez.
never forget this is just chicken manure college football.
the beautiful fans of ole miss need to worry about how they gonna make
their next mortgage payment thats gonna be due tomorrow.
maybe lane will loan you the money for being such a faithful fan.
2 years from now everybody will be saying ''lane who'?
This was the college football version of The Long Goodbye. Much will be written about how Kiffin handled the situation. He'll treat LSU the same way if he hasn't won a national championship in three years.
It’s hard to be arrogant when you get bitch slapped back into reality.
12:21, the only “fair” in life usually only comes once per year, and that’s during the month of October in Jackson.
Freakin great day for Pete Golding! Wow
Why are there so many topics on this? Is Kingfish hot for Lane Kiffin? Does anyone else in the universe give this much of a fuck about Ole Miss football? You and your blog trolls all need mental help.
I’m beginning to feel the same way
1:56, I think LSU and its fans will chew Kiffin up and spit him out in that time.
There’s no way they’re going to let him be himself, and coach his way without interference. He will have to conform to them if he is to survive that place.
Ed Orgeron was made for LSU like nobody else, and they had no problem showing him the door. That was less than two years after winning a national championship, and the day after an upset win over Florida.
As big as of a jerk Lane is, Ole Miss fans are even bigger douche bags.
Those coordinators at Ole Miss got their face so far up in Kiffin rear until you will be seeing twins.
3:10- Bingo. What a bunch of delusional pricks.

I enjoy reading these comments and there have been many great comments made. I’m just wondering how much the State of MS has lost in this with taxpayer funds. I know the base salary is paid by us but there needs to be a clause to claw back any money spent that was not associated with the actual coaching. I just wish there was a like button because some of these comments are damn good.
Bulldog fan
You must be a bulldog fan. When was the last time MSU went to a bowl game?
My favorites have been the fan letters to Lane to not go. Especially because they call Oxford a snow globe town. Sure, your square is pretty, but so is cantons, lexingtons and hernando’s. Just because you overhype something doesn’t make it true. The most self righteous fanbase in all of the sec.
Don’t worry Ole Miss fans, you’ll be back to irrelevance just like Mississippi State. They talked on their high horse for years but now the Egg Bowl will go back to being the bowl for last place in the SEC. HAHA
I'm so glad this is over......Good riddance!!!
Enjoy it while you an Ole Miss, you’ll soon be back to mediocrity just like State. You’re beloved SEC will see to that.
3:37 - The amount state pays contractual employees (all college coaches are contractual employees), is limited per year (Google AI [Gemini] says it is limited to a maximum of 125% of the Governor's salary which would be around $152K). I recall that is was $200K or $250K, but I could be wrong. Also, their contracts cannot be longer than 4 years. The "foundations" (private boosters) pay the remainder, and will provide longer term contracts than allowed by the state. The financial hit to the state is zero. Foundations pay any guaranteed money, or collect buyouts coaches owe, to fired and departing coaches, if any.
Even a blind man could have seen this coming.
We should all wish him well & all transferring to LSU! Booing is for sore losers! Just as students graduate. & have learned from you, and professors learn from students this is an opportunity! Shame on OM for not allowing him to coach the playoff game with the students he has built relationships with. Just like others leave one job for another, it is not for us to judge. Maybe LSU will tone down the way they behave at games with their fans. I wish Kiffin & staff nothing but the best! Competition makes these athletes better! Thank you for your time at Ole Miss!
Hiring Golding this fast reminds me of when someone gets divorced and then remarries in a few months in the rebound. Almost never ends well.
OM would not budge on that issue as any coach would want to see OM thru playoffs.
Lane Kiffin’s plan:
1. Get HC Job at LSU
2. Get rid of daughter’s boyfriend
3. Collect $12 million per year
@ 3:08 PM - LSU had cause with Coach O. He would have lasted much longer if he kept his pants zipped.
I am an Ole Miss alum, sports fan, and supporter. I never cared for Kiffen. I would never have hired him had I been in that position. He has a lifelong history demonstrating that he has absolutely no morals or character. As my grandmother would have said, "he is a person with whom you should have no dealings". So, as it has proved out, his hire was a mistake and now, the university is paying the price. For me, it makes me appreciate a quality individual like Bianco. Gold in his soul. I wish Coach Golding nothing but the best and ask that he run a respectful program. I will probably support the team more heavily now, with money not emotion, and look forward to the start of baseball. On a closing note, I hope Mississippi State gets its house in order as well. We are all home folks, and I'm damn proud of it.
stake? He stayed 6 years, longer than anywhere else. He delivered you to a Sugar Bowl, multiple 10 win seasons, got you in the college football playoff.
Carter should have had a plan B and had Sumrall lined up instead of settling for a DC hack who would never sniff at a head coaching job anywhere else at a major school.
Ole Miss fan here.. I understand the spurned lover approach of not letting him coach post season…to me it’s about the players that got us here..
NIL has forever changed college, everyone out for themselves now. Good luck Rebels and best wishes to Kiffen, I’m signing off with college football! Great memories
@12:21. Clearly, you missed afew grammer claases at Ole Miss!
The entire Rebel fan base was never more happy to have LK. Then he led them to a first time ever 11-1 season, and was highly recruited. If you want him to stay... no problem. it will cost $95m. Pay up or shut up.
ahhhhhh yes.........the beautiful people of the SEC...........ONE EVEN brought a small child out to the tarmac .
im sure she told the child ''this is a bon voyage party''
So what makes Golding a better permanent coach than Matt Luke was? Or the way Lebby is now?
Ole Miss is backed into the same corner that MSU found itself when Leach died. Too late in the season to begin a coaching search and no decent players will commit/stay with a team that has interim leadership. Not to mention the remaining coaching staff would immediately start looking for new jobs.
Oh come on Kingfish. By the time Kiffin was thru putting off the decision to finally leave and quit trying to hold Ole Miss hostage, all the available young coaches (Sumrall, Golesh, etc) were signed to other programs. Thanks again Kiffin (it's all about me), so Carter and Boyce did the best thing for us and chose Golding who has been the recruiting guy along with DC for us. We will be ok. You "won" the Kiffin sweepstakes. Maybe you will survive it. He is the same guy who left Tennessee after one year, was fired by Al Davis, and left on the tarmac(not really) at USC. He (and his agent Sexton/CAA along with ESPN where about 75% of the on air talent are repped by CAA) will try to paint Kiffin as a changed man. A family man. A more down to earth man. Uh, no. Good football coach. Maybe great. But he is NOT a good man, much less a great one. Anyway, you can think this is sour grapes. Nope. I thank him for 6 great years, and then a month or two of total distraction from the players and a complete focus on himself. Sad really.
This is the totality of the hype regarding Golding:
He was a four year starter at Delta State and his parents attended Delta State Also.
He worked for awhile at Southern Miss, Delta State and Alabama.
He's bound to be successful since he also engages in towel-popping asses in the dressing room after practice.
Meanwhile: Hugh Freeze has accepted the coaching job at Mendenhall and Kingfish has ordered the 3-CD series Lane Kiffin Yoga Lessons for Beginners.
College football is a business. Colleges are not education sources. They are full of DEI, tenured professors that do not instruct but publish (teaching left to assistants) and lots of money!!!! The track record of Mississippi educating their people sucks. We are reaping what we sow.
No matter what your personal perspective, one thing is sure. Coach Golding and the Ole Miss Players are in one hell of an enviable position. Their next game will be on the road for the national championship. My best guess is that everyone associated with the program recognizes and appreciates this. IMO, how well they do will be a direct reflection of the character of the young men on the field. It's their team and their opportunity. To be honest, this team is well past the Rah Rah of an inspirational speech before they take the field and, if they have the character, the head coach isn't going to make much difference at this point. I'm going to be optimistic and hope that Golding, his staff, and his team can take advantage of a Cinderella opportunity. I don't expect them to win the National Championship, and my wish is not for that. My wish is that they conduct themselves with pride and dignity, a trait they damn sure didn't learn from Kiffen.
There are many who find fault with the OM administration for not letting Kiffen "finish what he started". They are supported by many sports commentators and a few "legends" of college football. I couldn't disagree more. To this point it has been all about Kiffen. College football is not a one dog show. Had he been allowed to go forward, that is exactly how it would appear. Then what? Any degree of success in the college playoffs would be all about Kiffen. Talk about leaving a team and fan base holding the bag!! The future of OM football isn't Lane Kiffen. If it is, then we are truly screwed. Any success in the playoffs will be a huge benefit to the future of the program. Kiffen is gone, and I don't wish him well. How could anyone have shown more narcissism, self importance, and complete disregard for a large group of people who supported him when he needed it than Kiffen did?. The future of OM football is tomorrow. Without Lane Kiffen.
Lane doing Lane things and gaslighting Ole Miss for not letting him coach the playoff game. What arrogance. I had hoped sobriety had changed him but I think he's just not drinking, he hasn't changed a damn thing.
Letting him coach would be like you finding out about your wife's boyfriends (after everyone else already knew) and letting them live with you until the divorce finalizes.
Worst kept secret in the world that Lane was going to LSU. I am not an Ole Miss grad or homer but it's debatable if LSU is actually a better job in the big picture. LSU has glitz and glamour but much higher expectations.
Lane has done well at Ole Miss and the university has enjoyed the success he brought it. Can he replicate this at LSU? I'm not sure. LSU fans have less patience and it's a much different culture but perhaps that's what he wants.
Am I the only person concerned with the cost of Football in Mississippi and Louisiana with coach’s salaries, NIL compensation and private jets. These two states have funding issues in Higher Education and it appears their administrators have their heads in the sand. We need to increase the value of the diploma the student receives.
