A California law firm funneled over $150,000 to Letitia Johnson's campaign for the Mississippi State Senate - the same law firm that hired Ms. Johnson a few months before her husband, NAACP President Derrick Johnson, awarded a partnership to the firm last year.
The NAACP formed the partnership with Singleton Schreiber "to pursue justice for black and other women of color exposed to toxic chemical hair relaxers (perms)" in 2024 six months after the firm hired NAACP President Derrick Johnson's wife, Letitia. Earlier post.
The NAACP's selection of the law firm was rather curious. A tally of the lawyers posted on the firm's website reveals minorities are well, a minority at the law firm. 11 of the firm's 96 lawyers are black, a whopping percentage of 11%. It's even more curious when the firm named her as head litigator for environmental racism cases when she has virtually no experience as a tort litigator as she practices in Chancery and bankruptcy courts. She is only named as attorney of record for one case in Circuit Court in the tri-county area. It's not quite so curious if one is giving the President's wife a nice fat paycheck in exchange for a nice fat contract (allegedly).
Mrs. Johnson is running for the Mississippi State Senate in District #26. John Horhn resigned from the office when he was became Mayor of Jackson.
Posted below are the reported Singleton Shreiber firm and attorney donations:
Yolanda Santana: $250
Alexander Flores: $250
Knul Johnson: $250
Brittni DeJurnell: $250
Vanessa Wldrel: $250
William Fulgham: $250
Sonja Williams: $250
Laure Singleton: $250
Richard Barker: $250
Sarah Williams: $1,500
Danielle Mason: $1,000
Andrew Bluff: $1,000
Amanda LoCurte: $500
Alicia Siminol: $500
Breven Parsor: $500
Daniel Frchter: $500
Chris Rodriquez: $500
Thus individual Singleton Schreiber attorneys donated $7,500 to their fellow attorney's campaign. However, the real action came from her employer and NAACP partner Singleton Schreiber as it donated over $150,000 to the would-be State Senator's campaign:
Singleton Schreiber: $2,500 (5 $500 donations)
Singleton Schreiber $150,000
Total amount of Singleton Schreiber donations: $157,500.
Don't take JJ's word for it. Read and weep:
Ms. Johnson reported $348,674 in contributions, an enormous sum for a Mississippi legislative race.

Why does this even get reported? We all know the NAACP is a shakedown and it’s full of fraud.
So this revelation is just the tip of the iceberg of what may have happened and anticipated to happen if elected. It won't be surprising to learn of kickbacks occurring with JPS school board because if incompetence was a crime, most members would be in jail. Is this firm in bed with One Voice as well? Kingfish, do some digging before Tuesday for the sake of the election.
Rotten democrat practice
Suck that D, I hope someone is paying you for your propaganda. I didn’t have the stomach to abandon my moral principles like you.
I’m not defending anyone in the article but I wanted to point out that things are litigated in chancery court. To say she practices in chancery and has no litigation experience is not necessarily true.
I have yet to see that she has accomplished anything in her career. It all appears to be one big grift with her husband’s connections.
Make your vote count.
