No, I'm not writing about the Mississippi Bar. The Snake Nation issued a Fatwah against DMR cronies this morning:
Good morning to the good people of Mississippi. Please consider this the unofficial statement from concerned citizens/taxpayers known by most as members of the SLABBED NATION, the SNAKE NATION and the SEA (SCREWED ENOUGH ALREADY) PARTY. We are gathering at the Bolton Building, DMR office, in Biloxi to protest and make our feelings known to the CMR about many issues at the Ms.DMR. From the hiring of Jamie Miller's friends at Frontier Gulf Coast to do public relations work to the hiring of certain individuals for positions not advertised to the public we object to how this agency is being managed. We also are very upset about the secret negotiated settlement with Bill Walker and other board members of the Marine Resource Foundation. This agreement has cost the taxpayers of Ms. over $900,000.in our estimate and allowed for the participants in this scheme to walk away without paying one penny out of pocket. They have also been released from any future responsibility for these misused funds while others throughout the state are pursued and made to pay full restitution, serve prison time or placed on probation for doing much less. This negotiated agreement was signed off on by DMR Director Jamie Miller and Ms.State Auditor Stacey Pickering. Our question is why such selective prosecution? This is a small sampling of our concerns about what has happened and continues today. We are a grass roots movement of many people who live and work on the Ms.Gulf Coast. We want something done about the misuse, embezzlement and theft of our hard earned tax dollars.at the DMR and other state agencies now. WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND ARE NOT GOING AWAY. Please join us to have your voice heard this morning at 9:00am at the office of the Ms.DMR. Thanks, THE PEOPLE

Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

there is a certain amount of misbehavior expected of officials, but every once in a while it crosses the line so bad that people won't let you sweep it under the rug. this is one of those times. it has become the life mission of some folks on the coast and the more people that get sucked in, the more covering up takes place. we are only half way thru the story (where is john grisham?)
You people on the coast are to stupid to do anything political. You had a chance to elect a Lt Gov and a Speaker from down your way and you couldn't stick together and get it done. You should just resign yourself to the fact that when it comes to politics you don't have the minerals to get the job done.
Frontier and the top brass go way back for sure. The fact that they got Jamie in so quick, and then got the PR contract so quick with no bid process just shows you how tight the circle is at the top. This is not the first time they have been awarded with a contract as a reward, just read the Mississippi blurb here..... http://www.nasact.org/nasact/newscenter/downloads/nasactnews/2007/Nov07.pdf
I am a proud member of this group. We are normal hard working people who are tired of the lack of results from months of investigation by an inept State Auditor,Stacey Pickering. He has allowed ample time for these perpetrators to dispose of evidence possibly needed to prosecute and to transfer assets to others which I know for a fact has happened. He has negotiated in secret with the board members of Bill Walkers phony nonprofit foundation which most call his conprofit foundation. The settlement was not in the best interest of the taxpaying citizens of this state, giving up almost a million dollars. He is never this generous with others like Tracey Laird of Jones County who was sentenced to 10 years in prison over $109,000 or Jennifer Philips of Perry County who was sentenced to 5 years in prison over $2500 or Rita Ivey of Prentiss County who was sentenced to 16 years over $82,400.These are but a few from across our state that have received unequal justice compared to Bill Walker and his cronies. Why? We should all be asking why give these people on the Gulf Coast such a deal for misusing over a million dollars while locking up others for so much less. Why Stacey Pickering? If you have time to travel to the Gulf Coast for a political fundraiser for yourself you have time to give the public some answers. I hope it has nothing to do with politics, but I would bet it does.
By the way, on the previous discussion about Bryant and his claim to have used private donations for air travel, do a simple Google search for Alpha Golf Aviation disbursements (Josh Gregory)and follow the money. Or just Google Josh Gregory and Quinton Dickerson to see all of the fun they have had over the years. No surprise at all that they are getting a piece of the DMR pie.
Sounds to me like Frontier,Frontier Gulf Coast and its owners are in need of a very close look at by the FEDS because no one in the state of Ms.has the will or desire to do so. See if we can't make a few phone calls to people with an interest.
A press release like that, if that is what it is supposed to be, makes it hard to take this group seriously.
Only a few people showed up. Four does not a movement make.
There are many more people involved but most are working folks who could not be at the CMR meeting at 9am.Our strength is more online keeping people aware of what is happening but I believe our numbers are increasing. Every movement starts as just a few disgruntled people taking some sort of small action. The new protest vehicles are great blogs like Jackson Jambalaya and Slabbed.org. While our press release maybe lacking, it is ours and was not fashioned by some faux PR Firm like Frontier Gulf Coast who still can't produce any work they were paid for by the DMR. But that is what we expected.
Kenneth and Larita Stokes have a monopoly on FATwah.
As a Jackson area guy, I can say this....my friends that actually live on the coast are PO'd about what happened, and even more PO'd that they are getting more of the same out of Jackson. I don't see this going away any time soon and I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.
Regardless of attendance their criticisms of Pickering are on the mark.
Our State Auditor has badly failed the taxpayers of Hinds County. When it comes to Hinds Pickering has not earned his pay nor deserves consideration for future elective office.
Kenneth and Larita Stokes have a monopoly on FATwah.
FTW
After KF said only 4 people showed up to protest I will defer to the 12:31 post. Obviously this is someone who understands the inept politicos on the coast.
If you think the folks on the coast are stupid then please give us an opinion of the people in Hinds who have elected Lt. Graham and the morbidly stupid Kenneth I. Stokes.
Most of the political problems on the Coast originate in Jackson. We do not want those minerals washing down here. Hinds County is just one example of the circus going on year round up north.
Most of the political problems on the Coast originate in Jackson. We do not want those minerals washing down here. Hinds County is just one example of the circus going on year round up north.
Amen 6:55. The new guy at DMR (Jamie?) is a good example. If he doesnt work out, Phil owes plenty of other folks in Jackson favors.
If Miller does not work out Phil will rely on the same Joe and Josh team at Frontier Gulf Coast to make another selection for him. Hell, nobody believes Miller was in the top 3 selected by the CMR and sent to the Gov.The thru that list in the trash because Miller was the J&J man 60 days prior to the first application being submitted.
@8:36 you had your chance to get a Lt Gov, and you couldn't keep your coalition together down there to get a speaker, who lost by one vote because of that "Nancy-Boy On the Down Low" Representitive Mark Formby voted for Gunn instead of Frierson. You people on the coast are pathetic politically.
9:35 You sir have insulted my integrity by lumping myself and all others on the Coast with the Republican scalawags that have failed to bind themselves together. I am a true independent that only has allegiance to the best person for the position. And you are pathetic individually for making such broad ASSumptions. Good Day
@9:35 I didn't know what Down Low And Nancy Boy meant till I looked it up. Boy did you hit the nail on the head except he really isn't on the Down Low. It's common knowledge around the Capitol.
I wonder which firm...
"Miller, 40, of Gulfport, was U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo's chief of staff until he left in December after a little more than a year to return to the Coast. He said he had planned to spend January with his family and take time to unwind. He had a job offer with a government consulting firm, but decided about the first week of February to pursue the DMR director job."
I would put my money on Frontier. Once they decided Miller should seek that position at the DMR this was leaked by some as a trial balloon some two months before any of the real applications we submitted. I wish they would just come out and tell the truth about how the process was really decided. Stop the lies people .a time line would show step by step Millers return, his name leaked to the press as the next Director of DMR, the formation of Frontier Gulf Coast, Millers appointment, no-bid contract to Horne which included Frontier Gulf Coast. All with in 90 days. They sure believe in working the plan
Scott Walker brought his Lott/Federal tactics to the Coast and showed that what works in DC is not even close to legal on the State/County/City level. This is how he rolls , and his Mama Sharon, and Moby and Cloyd, and Bill, and the Bond CDBG Mafia as well. But they can't discuss turtles and dolphins due to a Federal gag order regarding BP claims. Along comes Joe Cloyd who helped Haley get the workforce housing, Newmarket tax credit, Sr. housing grants going....and because he is not an actual employee of the State, he can use his contacts at all of the state agencies to get deals done and make good money off of it by being a partner in the deals he is pursuing. It will be interesting to see where the Feds will draw the line on the indictments. Something wicked this way has come and the indictments are about to expose it all. Matt the FBI dude must have a shopping cart to carry around all of the files he has on this crowd.
2 crooks and a crazy person and a political on the down low whore kept you coast people from having a high position in government.
All we gotta do up here is thow a bone at you coast folks and y'all start fighting over it. FOOLS
12:31. Of course us coasties don't support coast candidates for Statewide office. We know our local politicos, why would we support them?
This morning on Channel 13 WLOX Biloxi Joe Cloyd of Frontier Gulf Coast fame has his latest taxpayer funded CDBG project featured that started as a CDBG Work Force Housing project but ended up as Riverside, an adult waterfront community for the 55+ crowd. This project contains a total of 118 units at a cost of $15,000,000Rents begin at $450.00 per month. If the CDBG program allows for this type of application it should be changed. If it does not it should be investigated. How this is financially fair to those that are in the real business of providing senior housing is a good question. How a person like Joe Cloyd is allowed to participate after working for the state and in this particular area is a better question that begs to be answered. I encourage everyone to visit www.riverside.ms to see what your tax dollars are being used for. This needs to be looked into if not by the Feds at least by us.
