Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Pray? Are you serious?
CL says its Abigail Bonner. How sad.
Jaysus. Someone dumped her out???
Sorry, 7:53 was me. I took the post too literally. Clarion ledger says
"The body was discovered by a Madison County Police investigator Tuesday afternoon, near Rice Road and Madison Avenue in a wooded area, according to a release from the department.
The area where the body was discovered is near Madison Avenue Elementary and roughly a mile down the road from the Bonner family's residence."
The body was found about a mile from her house. Pray for the family.
On the Facebook page the uncle says that the out of town family are making travel arrangements. However, the Coroner isn't going to say anything till tomorrow.
As I've been saying for years. Hiding out in madison is not going to do us any good. The entire state will resemble jackson soon.
"As I've been saying for years. Hiding out in madison is not going to do us any good. The entire state will resemble Jackson soon"
Last I checked, most murders were committed by someone who knew the victim. Madison residents are people like the rest of us.
8:37 - Go away. Now.
Whoever had '6' in the pool for how many comments before someone blamed it on Jackson is the winner.
Knockoff the Jackson v. Madison comments. Not approving anymore tonight.
This is a tragedy. I would surely think we could set aside petty differences and pray for this poor family. What a nightmare.
Isn't it just great that the MPD never looked around the surrounding area for her. If they had just searched the few wooded areas up and down the street the would have found her. WOW.... I feel safe knowing these idiots protect us up here. Does anyone think this detective just happened to find her today? Someone told MPD where to look. They are to stupid to find her that close to the house on their own. By the way. Be prepared to be shocked at WHO DONE IT!!!
You'll are SICK--People are hurting so just drop your trash!!!!!!
I missed where they said this was a murder investigation. I've heard nothing to suggest foul play and, given the proximity to her home, I suspect this was a suicide.
I'm sure everyone has seen a missing person case on TV. The large group of people going door to door through the neighborhoods. Dozens of people walking through the woods and fields. FUNNY how that was not coordinated here by the family. U can't rely on the KEYSTONE COPS to do the basics all the time, esp in this case now its proven they never looked . They could have had hundreds of people meet at Strawberry Park or the school to walk the area. We all would have shown up. Family friends neighbors church members. We could have had hundreds and found her in 30 minutes. SOMEONE didnt want us looking. Wonder who???? I KNOW......DO YOU?
Its all speculation until the autopsy is completed.
I have disagreed with Kingfish in the past concerning reporting details before release and he responded professionally.
As for this thread, it appears the CL did confirm with law enforcement to ensure the family was notified.
Furthermore, Kingfish is PERFECTLY correct. It is inappropriate to make this a Jackson/Madison issue or to speculate on the cause of death to this individual.
Think of the the family of the deceased and place all hated, biases etc on hold. A family, that appears to be the family of the missing girl, but regardless of who the authorities confirm, a family is hurting
I live about a half mile from there and son goes to school across the street. The area where body was found is near some rough looking dwellings. Not saying these folks had anything to do with it, but the homes there are eyesores. And the residents are white, just so there is no racist, etc. comments. Anyway, from my perspective, I would not wander around that area unless forced. Just saying.
Are you joking?? You must be. It's right across the street from St Ives, a very nice neighborhood, and close to La Fraise, another very nice neighborhood. Your comment is batshit crazy.
Not batshit. Ride by there. Right where the body was found is not in a nice looking spot. And there are nice neighborhoods everywhere near there. But u can't deny what is in the immediate vicinity. Like I said, I live close.
And was the body found in either neighborhood u mentioned @ 11:10? Umm, no.
A bunch of idiots!! Doesn't matter if its Jackson, Madison, star, or ellisville,ms. Somebody's daughter is dead!! Have some sympathy.
Frankly, I'm getting tired of reading wild speculation from a bunch of amateur internet detectives when there is a family out there dealing with a tragedy tonight. Give it a rest.
It's the only wooded area around all those neighborhoods. Seems like a place where kids would play/smoke their parents' cigarettes/look at Playboys, etc. I suspect a kid found the body and called the cops.
I don't know why you'd gather "hundreds of people at Strawberry Park" to walk nearby fields when the best guess they had was she was in New York. This wasn't a toddler or elderly person that wandered off.
If you "know" someone didn't want people looking for a body, or looking for a person who would die if not found, then you should probably contact your local law enforcement instead of ranting about it on public message boards, because that could open you up to criminal prosecution for accessory after the fact. I'm pretty sure this website would comply with a law enforcement request for your IP address.
Actually, WAPT is reporting that the body was discovered when a police investigator was jogging down the road today in that area and noticed an odor coming from the woods.
I seem to recall several on here who were critical of the mayor 'for authorizing the use of a helicopter' for search purposes.
On the subject of Madison 'wooded areas', was the perp who robbed the bank and fled into the woods near Kroger on 51 ever caught? Not that I know of.
And this statement is ridiculous: "The area where body was found is near some rough looking dwellings. Not saying these folks had anything to do with it, but the homes there are eyesores." First, the statement is untrue. Second, if it WERE true, what's that got to do with anything? The wooded area is just yards from very nice neighborhoods on all sides and a school. Dangerous places to be, indeed.
10:54 is absolutely wrong. First there are NO "dwellings" in the woods where the body was found. The closest "dwellings" to that area is St. Ives and Hoy Farms. The property 10:54 is trying to blame is across from the entrance to Hoy Farms on the other side of Rice Rd. I am not one to call names but 10:54 is a moron.
Well; My family lives in this neighborhood too. And there is a dump site just a hundred yards away on Rice and the caretaker/proprietor of the dump lives on site. Snakes, rodents, weeds, junk boats/cars/farm machinery, fire trucks, trailers, fence falling down. Casting no aspersions on this man - but, the whole area doesn't conform to the city image.
While it may look like one, it is not a dump. The guy has lived there for 30+ years "collecting" as he calls it (I call it hoarding but to each his own.) He is a thorn in Mayor Mary's side but there's nothing she can do about it as he was there first long before any of the fancy new neighborhoods were built. He doesn't keep up his property like he should but he doesn't bother anyone either. The only time you hear from him is when Mary (futile as it is) tries to get rid of him.
A Young woman is DEAD!!! You are so so SICK!!
7:22 - yes, we moved to Madison County in 1983, and I'm pretty sure I've driven past that man's place thousands of times. A little reminder of what Madison used to be like, before all the white people moved out from Hinds and decided to start bitching about the people they found living there.
@12:29...you mut be the idiot in your neighborhood. "I don't know why you'd gather "hundreds of people at Strawberry Park" to walk nearby fields when the best guess they had was she was in New York." Just because someone makes up a story that she is in NY doesnt mean its the BEST GUESS or even believable! Your the kind of person that answers scam letters!
Do you really want to go there Ladd?
I, also, would like for Madison PD to explain why there was never an organized ground search for her. Normally, that is the first thing you hear about when something like this happens. I do not care what someone told them about going to NY. Now,it seems, a law officer finds her while jogging. She was just a mile or so away. There are so many unanswered questions. Strange.
C-L reporting that Bonner family says body "appears to be" Abigail.
http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20130814/news01/130814012/family-body-found-madison-missing-teen-abigail-bonner
I remember them doing an update on the fb page that said people were searching the woods, but I don't know anything more about it. We may never know everything about this case. Assumptions aren't going to help anyone here.
i thought the family was in bella terre???? madison ave and rice is far from a mile from this neighborhood?
I had such high hopes of finding this girl alive and well. It is very sad for the young girl and even worse for the family.
@9:22 You are so right. Lets just say this was your daughter missing. There is no forced entry. She has just vanished. She has no car and no cell phone. Maybe she went walking and fell or became ill and is on the ground somewhere. I would be out all around my area looking hoping to find her alive. They never even tried nor did they insist the police try. WHY? There is no one on this blog who wouldnt have put the maximum effort in looking for a family member unless, they didnt want her found.
Donna Ladd has gone off the deep end. Again. You.Did.The.Same.Thing. Pot-Kettle-Ladd.
There is too much CSI these days -- people all think they are investigators... This is from the fb page on August 5. See #4! Remember the billboards they put up, the nonstop effort that has gone into this. Remember that this family is hurting -- terribly and beyond what you can imagine. Stop assuming, or believing what you want to believe.
"Looking for Abigail shared a link.

7:22 is defending the Madison Dump. Are you aware that he was required to build a nine or ten foot fence to shield his junk from the motoring public and that fence has since fallen over in some places and is overgrown with weeds? Who's running the asylum?
Even when places are 'grandfathered', they are bound to follow ordinances such as cutting grass and not continuing to strew the area with cut up trees and rusted farm equipment. Who in their right mind would risk living anywhere near this property?
Using 7:22's flawed logic, if I lived in Madison prior to 1980, I could choose to not cut my grass and construct welded television antenna towers sunk in concrete all across my yard if I had only one prior to that date.
Someone mentioned the helicopter search. Some of you buzzards are the same ones who jumped the mayor for 'authorizing' the police department to use the copter. Now you bitch because she didn't demand a foot search.
If the investigators don't regard the family as possible suspects, they won't be doing their job. Standard operating procedure.
I live down the street...no fliers distributed here...no groups or a single person walking, knocking on doors or looking here....SHE WAS FOUND AT THE END OF THE STREET....in one af the FEW wooded areas on the street...if thats a search then im Kenf Strokes. Heres how to do a search: Gather a group of people. Meet at a location close to where they were last seen. Make a grid. Divide people into groups such as WHO will go door to door, who will walk woods and yards/fields. Knock on doors, see if anyone is acting strange, look for loners. Ask for LE to supply a tracking dog. With 100 people they wouild have found her in an hour. This girl had NO history of running away yet NOW she has gone to NYC...really? She couldnt go anywhere without the parents watching her 24/7 That house was and is on LOCK DOWN at all times. Hell, I look for my car keys I misplaced harder than they looked for her.
@10:20 if the cops didnt regard the family as suspects....Then they are idiots....surely they arent that stupid??????? As soon as you see their interview they are the number 1 suspects...just saying..but you are right if they didnt suspect them...but what cop would just take their WORD????
What has she done now?

Horrors. Maybe he should move to a free country, since you seem convinced that this one isn't.
Is this the Butler Snow Lance Bonner or a different one?
10:37am is spot on! There was never a large, organized search for that child. No dogs, no volunteers combing the whole area. Why didn't they contact EquuSearch and ask for help? They would have been told you need hundreds of volunteers and a mapped area to search. She was so close and yet so far. God Bless Her. Not once did we see a tearful plea for help from her mother or father. Don't count on any answers.
Meople, the family lives in Belle Rose, not Belle Terre. Across the street and about a mile down the road from where the body was found.
@10:03 this is 7:22: Some still remember when Rice Road was a gravel road. "if I lived in Madison prior to 1980" then you would have lived amongst acres of farm land.
Thank you 11:11--as you pointed out I'm not defending him not keeping up his property. I'm defending his RIGHT to choose not to.
I do think that those of us in the Jackson, Ridgeland and Madison areas who did not personally volunteer to help search for Abigail should refrain from critiquing the family and authorities too much. Otherwise, we’ll simply sound like the stereotypically selfish Americans who can’t be bothered to help our next door neighbors. There were extensive public calls for help finding Abigail, and those calls spanned the entire nation. There were news stories, billboards, and flyers (I saw them). If we didn’t see searchers, maybe we should have offered to have searched, especially if we lived on the street. If we didn’t get a flyer, maybe we should have printed and hung up more of them ourselves. If we knew the family well enough to make comments about their situation, then maybe we should have made personal contact with them to offer help. The opportunities were numerous, and I, for one, regret that I did not do more. Sometimes searches simply take a while, and we can be grateful that at least the family has some closure now. And as a citizen of the Jackson-area, I am grateful to all of those who did so much to try to help Abigail – who searched, posted flyers and prayed. Perhaps we should work to build upon that sense of community, so that anytime someone goes missing, they will have people searching for them.
11:21 - it is the Butler Snow Lance Bonner.
Thanks 1:26.
What in God's name is wrong with the thought process on this thread.
If your thoughts go to anything EXCEPT sadness and sorrow for the family, you need to realign your priorities.
"If your thoughts go to anything EXCEPT sadness and sorrow for the family, you need to realign your priorities."
Zoning police AND thought police on this thread.
I think it was her parents.......No mother could sit like that in an interview no mother...There would not be enough drugs to keep me that calm...Hell when Susan Smith drowned her own boys there were more tears than this family had...Everyone says prayers to the family and all I can think is prayers to get those remaining kids out of that house.
I can't get these two comments from the mother out my head. The two most disinginuous comments I've ever heard:
1) I hope no one has taken her.
2) We hope she will be returned so we can fellowship with her.
HOLY SHIT!
This whole case has been weird from the beginning. I did see a few people walking the first few days, but once she was declared a runaway, the news stopped covering the story. Helicopter's continued to circle the area daily so, I'm not sure the cops bought the NY story. I don't think the investigator just stumbled upon the body as it was storming in Madison at that time. Something just doesn't add up. People handle stress in different ways, but I know I was a basket case when my son was carjacked this summer. I'm praying for all her family and hope they can find comfort during this difficult time.
10:03. The city built and paid for the fence.
And when his home was built, it was in Madison County, not Maryville
6:09, maybe some people use "fellowship" unselfconsciously like that, about their own missing daughter. I'm not one of them. But then, I never bought that a stranger killed Jon Benet Ramsay, either.
7:46 you make a valid point....
I drove down Madison Ave to Rice Rd yesterday afternoon when it was raining so hard I could barely see. I did see the helicopter flying over the school. I wonder how no one before yesterday smelled anything with the temperatures being so hot.
@6:09 let me assure you, these people are different than you. I can guarantee you that the words "Holy Shit" have never crossed her lips. This is dear highly religious family. Just because they don't happen to behave the way you think you would in this station or say what you would say in this situation does not in any way indicate they had anything to do with this tragedy. These people have lost a precious daughter. I would hope people could offer respect. Put yourselves in their shoes. How would you feel if people who don't behave or think like you! Or use the same vernacular as you were to accuse you because you were different, would that really help anything?!
If the city 'built and paid for the fence' to screen the junkyard, should the city maintain the fence?
If a city can 'grandfather' a junkyard, does the junkyard owner have the city's permission to increase it's volume twelve-fold?
What's the purpose of the orange cones in the road at this location for four months? Can blue peacocks be far behind?
1. I haven't read anything official that said it was pills or that she medicated herself somehow.
2. People suffering from depression often appear better right before committing suicide. They have made their decision and that gives them a real sense of relief.
@4:14am The orange cones are because we ran out of grant money for the sidewalks. Pat Peeler is working on getting an additional grant right now. She has done a heck-of-a-job with this sidewalk project. I'm sure she would appreciate any help if anyone would like to write a letter of support for finishing the sidewalks.
1:10; have you read anywhere that she appeared suddenly to 'have a sense of relief' or that she 'appeared better right before committing suicide' or are you just talking out your ass as usual?
Madison city hall 'ran out of grant money' to complete a sidewalk?
The sidewalk has been complete for months. The orange cones have been in place for months.
On a different subject, but back to the point, I remember over fifty years ago learning that a man was found dead in his truck at the Holmes County State Park, in the woods, body decomposed for weeks, maybe months.
All these years later I remember my cousins and uncles telling us 'his eyeballs were hanging out'. That thought has remained with me all my life. The point here is that the children at the school across the street will never forget the fact that a young girl's body was found, decomposing, within a hundred yards or so of where they were attending class.
Parents need to deal with, or at least be alert to, this fact, as it will hang with your children perhaps forever.
If counselors have been dispatched to that school, I missed it. If not, they should have been and still should be. This whole thing will have a profound effect on the children in that school. It's folly to assume they'll just go on about their lives comparing backpacks, frolicking on the playground and waiting for their moms to come through the drive thru pickup point.
Counselors and uniformed policemen need to meet with groups of these students. Can we assume Mary has not yet authorized that?
Woah 7:33 and 8:31, wow y'all are taking this a little too far. My daughter and I drove by Tuesday afternoon and she saw the white stretcher being wheeled into the coroner's truck. I can assure you this has not scarred her for life and in fact, I bet she's already forgotten about it. Years ago, a teenager shot himself overlooking the pond at the corner of Brisage but I can assure you that the neighborhood kids are doing just fine. Since it was after school, I would bet most kids don't even know that a body was found across from MAUE and certainly they don't need counselors. 8:31 you don't give kids enough credit for being the resilient creatures which they are.
Yes we ran out of money to finish the sidewalk project. That money was completely supplied by a grant and none of it came from the city budget. We are trying to be good stewards by not using any of the city's money. Another grant is being applied for to finish the sidewalks on down Rice Road towards Hoy Farms. Pat Peeler has done an amazing job spearheading this project and the sidewalks along both Madison Avenue and Rice Road get more use than I would have ever thought so kudos to Pat for having the vision.
My question is does anyone know if the parents have been investigated for feeding police mis-information or deflecting the investigation and search efforts (kidnapping, she's in NY, etc)? I understand that of the siblings, the son lives a pretty normal life (allowed to have friends, go places, etc) but the girls are kept to very rigid standards. I understand that this may be normal in some households but it certainly warrants further investigation by a social worker. And 7:33 and 8:31 I would dare to suggest that instead of counselors for the MAUE kids, counselors are far more needed at that house for the remaining siblings.
Counselors meeting with young children is an elective process, which in the case of MAUE, would involve parental permission. It's too late to send a counselor into this home, yet parental permission would never be granted. They're too busy fellowshipping and tending to the Facebook site.
More reason for Gene Waldrop to hold a press conference and show up in elementary school venues. The community has been twisting in the wind way too long with no information. Adults can get over it but children deserve better.
Ah, lesee..... Hasn't it been two weeks since the the young lady was found? Is the State Department doing the toxicology workup?
Machetes to the north of us, AKs to the South....Stuck in the middle again.
Isn't it strange her parents seem to be insisting that she killed herself?
And upon looking at her mother during that interview there is no signs she had even been crying , no red eyes no red nose...

Wit her uncle posting the service on the facebook page maybe he is trying to flag something saying look closer....
How do we know that Abigail Bonner walked away from the family home on Saturday, August 6th? Is that idea simply based on what the family told police and others? Did anyone OTHER than family members actually SEE her walk away? The Madison County Journal stated the following in their article "Bonner's death still police investigation" on August 21st: "The authorities have been unusually restrained with their public statements about the case, but they have said a tip to Madison police led authorities to the body."
Even if the toxicology report shows some kind of lethal substance in her system, how would we know that she ingested that substance of her own free will?
And even if Abigail actually committed suicide, then WHY did she commit suicide if she was (supposedly) such a fine Christian girl? EXACTLY what all are we NOT being told?
Very strange--all of it.
1:26- please keep up the questions. The more people who continue to question this BIZARRE case, the more it will hopefully get investigated.
A lot of details are being left out. This young girl deserves justice and a thorough investigation of the family needs to be done.
How can the family now be so SURE that it was a suicide when--according to the father's own statement--Abigail did NOT leave "a note"?
Are the POLICE also now SURE that it was a suicide? If so, why don't they just announce that now? Why are they needing to wait for toxicology tests to come back? But if the POLICE are NOT sure YET whether or not it was actually a suicide, then how can the family be so sure?
And IF it was a suicide, WHY did she commit suicide?
I don't know whether Abigail Bonner committed suicide or not. But IF she did commit suicide, I can't help but wonder what was going on in her home. For example, was she possibly being sexually molested? But even IF she was being sexually molested, even something as horrible as that would still NOT have been a justifiable excuse for her (or anyone else) to commit suicide. She still would have had a responsibility to do what she could to try to protect the younger children in the family. And, tragically, IF Abigail did commit suicide, that has now made it even more difficult to prove what kind of sinful activities MAY have been going on in that home. So, IF she committed suicide (which I hope she didn't, for her sake), it was certainly NOT the right thing for her to do. Again, IF there was sexual molestation going on in that family, the younger children now no longer have Abigail's help to deal with that.
Of course, another possibility is that Abigail was--when out of public view--a young woman who was actually very rebellious against some Christian teachings. But if that was the case, then why are her parents--and her church--expecting everyone to accept the notion that she was a genuine Christian? On what basis are they expecting us to UNQUESTIONINGLY accept the idea that she was a genuine Christian? It is just because she professed Christianity and did certain seeming "good deeds"?
I know of some individuals who both profess Christianity and do certain kinds of seeming "good deeds," but who also deny the deity of Jesus Christ, and/or who condone and promote things like abortion and homosexuality. All of these things are clearly and seriously sinful and evil from a biblical point of view.
I'm reminded of the epistle of Jude, verses 3-7:
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered His people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
I don't know exactly what was going on in this situation, so I don't know at this point whether Abigail was a genuine Christian, or a rebellious young woman, or what. I'm just trying to cover some of possibilities.
But IF Abigail WAS a genuine Christian, then WOULD she have actually resorted to something as selfish, as arrogant, as permanent, and as irrevocable as suicide? IF Abigail was a genuine Christian, would she have COMPLETELY AND PERMANENTLY ABANDONED the people in her life, including her brothers and sisters, as well as the elderly people at The Home Place, who have been left in a state of shock and confusion over this whole situation?
IF Abigail committed suicide, she certainly left a horribly sinful example for those around her.
I just saw on WLBT this evening that a memorial service was held this morning for Abigail at The Home Place, and that Abigail's parents attended. (For the web version see http://www.msnewsnow.com/story/23292045/abigail-bonner-remembered-at-memorial-service.)
Well, the "powers that be" seem to be working overtime trying to promote the idea that Abigail Bonner was BOTH a true Christian AND someone who committed suicide. These people seem to want us to believe that Abigail Bonner was BOTH a wonderful person AND a person who, for some unknown (or at least unrevealed) reason, killed herself.
It seems that these people--without their actually saying so--want us to believe that Abigail Bonner had some sort of unnamed "mental illness."
I wonder if the people at The Home Place think Abigail was "mentally ill."
Abigail Bonner's parents are now saying that Abigail's death was due to suicide. But the parents have also said that Abigail did not leave a suicide note. So how can the parents know for sure that it was a suicide?
The police are saying they are still doing an investigation into this situation, so it appears the police are not yet convinced that it was a suicide.
If the parents have some kind of supposedly incontrovertible evidence that Abigail's death was a suicide, have the parents shared that evidence with police? And if they have shared that evidence with the police, then why are the police still investigating the situation? And if the parents have not shared that information with the police, then why haven't they?
If the parents have incontrovertible evidence that Abigail committed suicide, then why don't the parents share that information with the public? I mean, the parents asked the public to help look for Abigail when she first went missing. So, if the parents now want the public to believe it was actually a suicide, then the parents need to provide the public with some kind of concrete evidence that it was actually a suicide.
But it appears that the parents are not even providing that kind of evidence to the police. Maybe the reason the parents are not providing that kind of evidence to either the police or the public is because, just maybe, that kind of evidence doesn't exist. And if that kind of evidence doesn't exist, maybe Abigail didn't actually commit suicide.
But if, by some chance, Abigail did actually commit suicide, then why did she commit suicide? I mean, if she was (supposedly) such a wonderful, loving Christian young woman who was raised in, and still living with, such a (supposedly) wonderful Christian family, then why would she have committed suicide? Do the parents now want us to believe--without their actually saying it in so many words--that Abigail had some kind of mental illness? But do the people at The Home Place retirement home think that Abigail had a mental illness?
With Abigail's father, Lance Bonner, being the Executive Director of the very large, influential, and powerful law firm of Butler, Snow, O'Mara, Stevens and Cannada, one can't help but at least wonder what kind of information Mr. Bonner might be privy to--information he could use (if he chose to) to try to get certain people to support him in whatever he might be claiming about the situation with Abigail.
When Abigail first disappeared, there seemed to be quite a few people who were--at least privately and/or anonymously--raising questions about this family. But now that Abigail's parents--and at least a couple of their church leaders--are claiming that Abigail committed suicide, it seems there are fewer and fewer people who are willing to continue to raise questions about this situation. But how can those church leaders be sure that Abigail committed suicide when even the police don't seem to be sure of it?
It's very clear that Abigail's parents are trying to keep certain information about their family from becoming public. The question is, What are the secrets they are so desperately trying to hide?
The police say they are still investigating this situation. I hope they are, because it seems pretty clear that something extremely strange, odd, weird, bizarre, and maybe even criminal and evil is going on in this situation.
Is there any way the public can be confident that the police are still actually investigating this situation?
Are there black helicopters circling over your location August 31, 2013 at 3:10 PM?
3:10 has very reasonable suspicions regarding the very un-reasonable behavior of the family.
Those toxicology tests are supposed to be back by now - is the whole forensics office on vacation or something?
3:10 is ANONYMOUS. 3:10 is working overtime to smear and implicate the parents. End of story.
One could argue that there MAY be people in this situation who, in trying to protect themselves, are SUBTLY smearing Abigail's reputation by their CLAIMING that Abigail committed suicide WITHOUT their providing ANY evidence to the public--much less conclusive evidence--that she actually did so.
WLBT reported on Aug. 29 (the day a memorial service was held for Abigail at The Home Place) that the police still had an active investigation going on. If that's true, it seems that even the police are not convinced that Abigail committed suicide.
I don't know exactly what happened here, but I'm sure not convinced yet it was suicide.
