Hinds County District Attorney Bradley McCullouch issued the following statement.
Hinds County District Attorney Brad McCullouch announced that 52-year-old Jonathan Brown was sentenced for sex crimes involving three minor victims. On July 18, 2026, Brown was convicted of four counts of sexual battery and three counts of gratification of lust following a week-long jury trial. Jackson police began investigating Brown in August 2020 after three minors reported he had sexually abused them on multiple occasions. Brown, a longtime family friend, threatened the victims to prevent them from reporting the abuse.
Judge Winston Kidd sentenced Brown to 25 years on each sexual battery count and 15 years on each gratification of lust count. “Those who prey on children will be prosecuted relentlessly. We will use every lawful tool available to protect our children and hold their abusers accountable,” said District Attorney Brad McCullouch.
Kingfish note: The victims were all ten yers old. I would post the indictment but there are some sickos who would get off on the details.

Thanks for leaving out the details Fish. It is just a shame that the death penalty for child abuse has been taken off the table.

so, out of potentially 145 years in prison; 25 years for each of 4 counts of sexual battery, and 15 years for each of 3 counts of gratification of just, he's only sentenced to 25 years? it's being run concurrently and not consecutively?
granted, being 52 years old and sentenced to 25 years in prison ain't no cake walk, but his sentence should at the least be 145 years. need to make sure he dies in prison.
my solution would be to make him dig his own grave, set him on fire, and then cover him with dirt when the flames go out.
