Running independent is a strategy that counts on democrats no showing up for the general election because all of the races are usually decided in the primary. Works sometimes, sometimes not.

Probably does not work if there is also a republican candidate the splits the votes. It would be nice to see no republican run, that would be Wade's only chance.

I sure hope that Jacksonians sit back and simply listen to how Kim Wade wants to implement common sense and help the city. He is not in anyone's "pockets" and I agree with his philosophy of just straightening out the city's mess.

Kim will be honest, brutally honest at times....but Jackson, we need that honesty.

Kim Wade does not care about Black people. In a city that is majority Black, we need someone who actually aligns himself with the people who live, work, and love the city of Jackson. his fundraisers and rallies have not been in Jackson, they have been in Rankin and Madison counties. He has spoken very disrespectfully of Black women and believes that Jacksonians don’t work or love their city. We need someone as Mayor who isn’t coming in just to spew MAGA rhetoric, but who is ready to do what’s best for Jackson.
