The SpaceX mission completed another successful launch this morning. SpaceX stated on its Youtube channel:
At 5:49 a.m. EDT (9:49 UTC), the SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavour spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur of NASA, Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency, and Akihiko Hoshide of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will join the station's crew, for a mission of approximately six months.
This will be the first launch through our Commercial Crew Program to fly two international partner astronauts, and the first reuse of a Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket for a crew mission.
Once aboard the station, the Crew-2 astronauts will spend a lot of time on science — in areas such as medical technology, human health, and materials to benefit life on Earth. The space station is a unique scientific platform, enabling researchers from all over the world to put their talents to work on innovative experiments. It has instruments that monitor our home planet's global climate, environmental changes, and natural hazards.

Go Elon Musk. I don't have many heros in my life, but ,Elon is one of them. He resurrected the space program from the dead.
Maybe Brandon Presley can harass him a little more about putting satellite broadband in rural areas. I mean, what the hell does Elon Musk know about technology that the Itawamba Electrical Co-op and Laundromat doesn't know?
@9:39
Felon Musk belongs in prison for securities fraud.
He didn’t resurrect the space program because it wasn’t dead. Stop worshiping his personality cult. The dude has never invented a thing. All of what you think he invented, was bought from someone else. He is a hype man.
SpaceX is doing great things but so is Boeing, Lockheed, and many others whose work is classified. SpaceX just got the government cheese this time.
Your type probably also worshipped Steve Jobs, but you have never heard of Richard Stallman, a true visionary and innovator.
11:09 must be a Tesla shorter mad about losing $$$
Your comment that SpaceX and Boeing have had equivalent accomplishments is truly laughable. In just the last couple years Boeing has repeatedly crapped the bed with both their civilian aircraft (737 Max) and spacecraft (Starliner and the primary part of the SpaceLaunchSystem). Starliner and the SLS, both on the back of cost-plus contracts, have bilked taxpayers out of BILLIONS for almost nothing but failure.
[Warning: nerd conflict ahead, if you're not into computers then this will make little sense]

RMS hasn't done anything really useful except make the GPL. Linus Torvalds wrote the kernel that mostly drives the Internet. BSD has a userland that is every bit as good as GNU's.
Steve Jobs is the guy who figured out that you could sell a lot of expensive computers if you made them make peoples' lives easier. And while I disagree with a lot of things he did, it is a simple fact that *if* you buy into the Apple ecosystem, all your stuff will work. I bought an Apple TV. Configuration for accounts, wifi, etc.? I just laid my iPhone on top of it and said "yes, I approve this connection". Done. That's not happening on FreeBSD, and it's not happening on Ubuntu or Debian. That's Apple's magic sauce. I actually prefer Android (with all its faults) as a phone OS, but "it all works, and it all works together" is hard to compete with.
[11:09 AM] Get off this thread & get on Redditt with all the other self righteous fools.
While you were bagging dog poop Elon created Paypal & sold it for a small fortune.
(1.) He than created Tesla where there a back log order of cars purchased for a year in advanced.
(2.) He created Star link internet which is going to give Russia, Iran & China fits trying to jam the signal & keep out a free press.
(3.) He created SpaceX which is getting people off this planet.
Finally, his net worth is around 180 billion dollars in 2020.
Now, answer me this, What have you done with your puny life?
I rest my case Counselor.

Let me welcome you to the reality of how things come into existence. We all contribute. That's what invention is. The salt, the grain, the heat, the hearth. Only one man makes the bread rise. That's the one that puts it all together. Makes it taste so damn good the people will go out there, and hand over their hard-won dollars to buy it.
It isn’t difficult to find the history of the designs and ideas that Elon Musk has stolen. Just search for the lawsuits he has settled. Of course he has armies of midwit fanboys who will edit wikipedia to hide the truth. You people will believe the truth about Mark Zuckerberg. You don’t even realize how you far gone you have fallen into the cult.
It was illegal when Bernie Ebbers did and it is illegal when Elon Musk does it. The only difference today is that Elon gets the government to subsidize his losses and they turn a blind eye to cooking the books. There is a reason he burns through CFOs in his companies. Crimes are being committed and they resign.
@2:45
RMS is the reason FOSS and the GPL have survived this long. Richard Stallman’s evangelism for Open Source Software has inspired generations of devs to contribute to the noble ideals of sharing information and improving society through open standards and technology.
RMS is worthy of reverence. Someone marketing a new gadget does not.
@5:06 Stallman was a byline. Musk's starlink will change the world, just wait and see. High speed, low latency, and 100% worldwide availability? You're a fool if you don't see how that is the infrastructure to build millions of creations, fortunes, and destinies upon.
@Better than ever
Aren’t you that Covid-19 Chicken Little who was wrong about everything and basically laid low in shame for months?
Felon Musk is literally the antichrist and you soylards worship him like Athiest Jesus.
Elon Musk did not create Tesla.
God, I am so sick of know-nothings who just regurgitate juvenile internet talking points!
Tesla was created in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Musk was an early investor and used his position to put his name on the company as a co-founder through legal shenanigans, then he pushed the founders out. Now he sells cars at a loss and makes profits on reselling green energy credits (hence how Tesla could show 4 profitable quarters to get listed on the NASDAQ).
So Tesla's car business is a LOSS LEADER to allow them to sell energy credits in an incredibly risky shell game.
Oh, and they dumped $1 billion of the company's money into cryptocurrency, which is incredibly imprudent. Any wonder there are SEC and FTC regulators all over Musk?
I would recommend checking out the Common Sense Skeptic YouTube channel to hear a real assessment of Musk's high tech snake oil.
"(3.) He created SpaceX which is getting people off this planet."
How many people has SpaceX gotten off the ground again? All I see them doing is dumping explosive cylinders of rocket fuel onto the wetlands of Boca Chica. Would you strap into one of those giant molotovs?
