Arrest Made of Reckless Driver From Tuesday Night
The Rankin County Sheriff's Department along with the United States Marshals service arrested Matthew Shane KELLY on a charge of felony evasion. Officers from the Rankin County Sheriff's Office and the Reservoir Patrol were attempting to stop the suspect's vehicle Tuesday night after receiving 911 calls about the drivers dangerous reckless driving. The Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) provided Sheriff's investigators with information that was vital in locating KELLY. MDOC also had an active warrant on KELLY for probation violation. When interviewed by investigators, KELLY confessed to evading officers along Spillway Road in to Ridgeland. When questioned as to his reason for running, KELLY stated he was under the influence of LSD and Methamphetamine and did not recall all of the events that had occurred. KELLY stated that he did realize officers were no longer behind him at Lake Harbor and Old Canton Road.
This is another example of law enforcement agencies working collaboratively to bring a violator to justice. I want to thank the Reservoir Police, The Ridgeland Police Department, the Department of Corrections and the United States Marshals service for their assistance in helping to close this case.
The Deputy involved in the accident is at home recovering from his injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
KELLY is currently being held without bond on the MDOC warrant and will remain in the Rankin County Jail until his initial appearance before Rankin County Court Judge Kent McDaniel. Kelly has been booked in the Rankin County Jail 14 times

Mississippi rustic is what it is. Bobby Wayne, Matthew Shane, Billy Dale . . . You are predisposed to a life of crime (often meth and statutory rape) and general debauchery with a name like that.
I think they are putting something toxic in tattoo ink these days.
What a loser! He is jail right now for damaging someone's home at 2;30 this morning. He should not be alive. He is a disgrace to his race.
