Several judgments filed against Lee family business. Lee responds to media coverage.

A series of default judgements were entered against Mississippi Products, Inc.  Jackson Mayoral candidate Jonathan Lee was president of the company. Jean Lee, the mother of Mr. Lee, was president of the company at that time and remains in that position, although it is not clear when she became President. Corporate filings at the Secretary of State indicate Mr. Lee was president in 2012 and his mother assumed leadership of the company, although no documents stating a change of leadership were submitted.

Hinds County Court Records state the following judgements were entered against the company:

Georgia-Pacific (8/17/12): $74,518.1, accrued interest in the amount of $3,756.53, post judgment interest from the date of the judgment at the rate of 8.0000%, attorney fees in the amount of $5,000.00 and court costs

Plastics Pitt (6/25/12): $25082.55, accrued interest in the amount of $879.61, post judgment interest from the date of this judgment at the rate of 8.0000%, attorney fees in the amount of $5000.00, and court costs

3M (3/14/13): $19,059.79, post judgment interest from the date of this judgment at the rate of 8.0000%, attorney fees in the amount of $5,000.00 and court costs.

Diversey, Inc filed a lawsuit against the company in December 2012. The total amount of the judgments, interest and attorneys' fees is $138,294. The company also has not paid its 2012 property taxes, although it did pay them for all previous years it owned the property where the company resides on Valley Street. However, the property is owned by Jean Lee. Neither Jonathan Lee or Mississippi Products, Inc. have any ownership in the property.

The Lee campaign issued the following statement on these matters:

"This week all major media outlets were contacted by a rival campaign regarding a legal issue related to my family business, Mississippi Products, Inc.

With my campaign for mayor picking up a tremendous amount of steam and just a little under two weeks left before the Democratic Primary, this is no doubt another attempt to impede our momentum and distract voters from the real issues at hand.

This is an ongoing business issue, not a personal one, and it is totally unrelated to my campaign for mayor.

Mississippi Products, Inc. is a small, minority contract distribution company working and competing with large multinational corporations. Over the last twenty years that we have been in business, this is not the first time we have been involved in a legal dispute and possibly won’t be the last.

The issue at hand stems from an ongoing contract dispute between Mississippi Products, involved vendors, and a former customer. The resulting judgments are still being actively pursued by Mississippi Products, Inc.

There are those who question how this may bring my experience into question. I believe that being able to deal with business-related disputes better prepares me to serve the people of Jackson as mayor.

As president of our family’s business, my responsibility was to protect the interest of our business. As mayor, my responsibility will be to protect the interests of the people of Jackson

Tempest in a teapot from the loser SB and his hero HJ. HJ has offered NO leadership, so he sicks his attack dog, Sam Begley to illuminate a business situation that all of us WHO HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS understand. Public trough, snail man divisive HJ is clearly getting his arrogant ass kicked, so Begley is beckoned. They both make me sick.

I hope a lawsuit ensues and Donna Ladd's computer is scrubbed. Dollar to a donut this whole fiasco sits in the witch's path. So transparent in the timing. This is a Begley/Ladd/Johnson production.

Thing is, its public records. When you run for office, expect these type of records to bubble up to the surface. You just have to be ready for it and have a good response unless you get it out there first.

So, just what is the Lee business? What does he serve or sell? Does he just take orders and place them with another business that really has the product with an add on mark up? That would make him a broker?

Anonymous said...

Jonathan Lee is a stand up guy and his success so far in raising money and grabbing all the momentum proves it. Ole Harvey is polling in the 12% range and that in itself is very telling of his failed leadership and inability to move Jackson in the right direction.

Anonymous said...

Harvey will receive his fair share of default judgments(in the form of votes against him) in this coming election.

7:56 you are right on. Watching his TV ads is painful. He is the most divisive, exclusionary politician ever. Other than Lee, all of his potential competitors have left this shithole (ie: black professional candidates) for towns around Jackson that "work".

He wants to manage the city, not lead it. His entire campaign is based on lies. He hasn't accomplished shit. Next thing you know, he will be on TV bragging about Capitol Street or the Convention Hotel. Empty phuking suit 12 years over.

I don't know why I give a shit. I live in Clinton, but lived in j town for 38 years. Best of luck.

My, my, sour grapes galore! Once a judgment is ordered by the courts it is no longer a "dispute". Unfortunately, this business is probably folding and that is always sad. All the anger hurled at our incumbent Mayor is not going to put Humpty Dumpty together again and having raised money to wage a campaign based on false representations is not a recommendation for holding office. One of the judgments was dated last August, prior to ever qualifying for the race.

oh you howlers at the moon remember when your very own kennuf i 'tokes was exposed for mulitple bad debts, forclosures and YES! gasp! BANKRUPTCY? That was during a "debate" (if you want to call it that) and 'tokes threw it back at harvey claiming that it didn't matter because most every voter in his ward had filed for bankruptcy at least one time? That answer was met with howling laughter and gleeful applause from the mob present. Mr. Lee's problem is that jackfrica's voter base is about 80% welfare tards and those thugs arent going to vote for him.

I'm a Lee supporter and he could have done better damage control than what he is doing.

Anonymous said...

I've been in Jackson since the 50s and seen some great Mayors and some really awful examples. Hadn't made up my mind on this crop until this cheap load was uncovered. I'll be voting for Jonathan Lee.

Anonymous said...

Lee is a poor businessman. You have to be when you can't make money at a business when your business is classified as "minority owned". Now he wants to run a huge business (City of Jackson). Unfortunately, he is the best of the bunch so I would vote for him. Nobody who really understands business wants to get involved with government bureacracy.

Am I missing something here? Why hasn't the Fondren Harpy and her Eunuchs gone off the deep end now that Harvey Johnson is running ads on JJ.

The progressive clump was apoplectic when Lee made his ad buy. Now, silence.

Anonymous said...

Kingfish, I can't help but notice this story was posted to your site not long after ol' Harv started advertising here.

Coincidence?

I infer. You decipher.

The Republic will eventually have to completely be propped up by the State and the Feds (more so than they already are). The death spiral that HJ has the Republic in will only last so long. Not sure that the NE Jackson and Byram residents will be able to continue to pay to keep the flames burning, especially with JObamacare and other taxes coming. Taxation without representation at its finest. Racism mixed with ignorance is a wonderful thing. Of course that is redundant.

Anonymous said...

Although I'm somewhat troubled about a candidate whose business has multiple default judgments against it, I'm nevertheless supporting Mr. Lee for Mayor. Mayor Johnson is a terrible Mayor, and the other candidates look awful for the most part, though I don't know anything about Ms. Quinn. Can anybody share any personal experience he or she has had with Ms. Quinn?

Anonymous said...

Because the bitch is too busy panting over the fact that the little insipid Ross Adams "won't let the Lee non story die". If JJ was doing to her BBF Harvey what she is trying to do to Lee, she would be almost as hysterical as she is now, in trying to promote her "gotcha" concerning the Lee tax deal.

I don't know if a more hypocritical person breathes air than Donna Ladd.

Why did Lee not pay his bills??

To 8:54am, I have met Regina Quinn and from just looking at her I said to myself she looks mayoral, she admitted her bankruptcy from the beginning so I knew what I was getting if I decided to vote for her. I was for J Lee first until I talked with her at my job, I was like wow im feeling this woman, I met lee to at my job and I was for him because I didn't want Harvey but when I met Regina I was for her because she is not perfect but honest.

Anonymous said...

Because, @9:48, when you're in a payment dispute with a vendor, you don't pay the vendor and then try to get your money back. Who knows why they took a default instead of defending the claim. I'd have done it differently.

It would have been nice if Lee had a better response when all this came up. He's still the best candidate, though. While he's not head and shoulders above the rest anymore, he's definitely a full head above them. If Jackson screws this one up, it's lights out (probably in the literal sense) for the city.

Anonymous said...

The candidate bashing here is really funny. Did anyone here miss the fact that One day Jonathan Lee is a proud business owner. And the next.... He had nothing to do with his family business for years. He sent his momma out front to deal with Ross Adams because he was too scared. What kind of man kicks his momma to the curb? Regardless of how the info got out... it's out. It's public information. It's factual. And it's true.

Anonymous said...

I saw the WJTV interview Wednesday night, and regardless of anything else that comes out,I'm dumbfounded by any man who would throw his mama to the wolves!!!! I mean come on! This is a person who wants to be the mayor. AND HE'S GOING TO REFUSE TO GO ON CAMERA TO DEFEND HIMSELF!!! BUT HAS NO PROBLEM LETTING HIS MAMA TAKE THE HEAT!!!!

Jackson's budget is something like $360 milliion dollars. We cannot have a guy who can't make his mind up on whether he actually runs, has ever ran or even knows how to run a small business take the reigns of city government.

And what's this "middle man" talk. I wanna know what customer his company screwed over! Are these Jackson companies?

Anonymous said...

Non - story. YAWN.

Anonymous said...

Ross Adams probably could have been something if he'd gotten his ass kicked in middle school a few more times. It'd have been really good for him. Instead, he got the idea that it's acceptable to be an asshole. Which it is not.

I have no idea what happened in his report on this story because I don't watch WJTV. Jackson is a terminal case at this point. What does it matter who's mayor?

Anonymous said...

Well I was supporting Lee but when I asked him certain questions about certain allegations he could never answer them with an honest answer. For example I asked about him being a republican and he answered No I am democrat but you have Natalie Cole working for you and she is a part of Young Republican and also a good friend of Justin Jordan. They say the company you keep tells alot about you. His finance report is questionable too. He has the same team that was behind Crisler in 2009. He is the younger version of Marshand Crisler but I voted for him too. My problem now is if he knew he had these judgements against him why didnt he address them from the start. I dont know Quinn that well but heard alot about her. The people are commending her for putting her bankruptcy out during her announcement. I now wish Jonathan had of done the same thing. This story has torn me because now Im seeing he isnt that best choice for Jackson. I just want to know why is he not addressing this issue himself and why is he continuing to lie about the ownership of this company. Maybe someone from his campaign can answer my questions on this blog since my emails and phone calls are not being returned.

I did business with the Lee family when they had a wire harness MFG in Morton, he, his dad and his Mom were all well salaried, but they did pay their bills.

What is important? Who leaked out the PUBLIC information... or Whether or not it's TRUE? Who cares who told... fact is.. this kid can't handle business. Literally or figuratively. What if he bankrupts the city... is he gonna ask his momma to take the blame? Hell... we're better off with the woman who wants to sell Hemp out of city hall!

Anonymous said...

NE Jackson voters should take a second look at Regina Quinn. She unwisely chose bankruptcy in her personal finances, but she has done outstanding work with Jackson State and as an attorney. Anyone who spends five minutes talking with her will find that she is a unifying person, not a divisive one. Now that Lee's candidacy has lost the foundation that it was built on, Quinn should be seen as a viable alternative.

Anonymous said...

I can assure you, @11:42, that Lee is definitely a Democrat. His family business, if I recall correctly, is warehousing and delivering institutional supplies (e.g. paper products, cleaning products, etc.) for schools, hospitals, and other large businesses.

Even though I'm disappointed in his response to the story, I fail to see how a few default judgments disqualify him from being mayor, particularly when the other leading contenders have either gone bankrupt, gone to jail, or "gone fishin'" while on the job for a total of 12 years.

@10:29 is right, Lee is still the best of the field even if he's lost some of his separation with this news. Once we make it through another news cycle, the hysteria will die down. Ladd/Adams/Johnson should've held their respective wads a little longer.

Quinn? Wasn't she FIRED from Jackson state?

I agree with above poster... bring on the Hemp Lady.

Anonymous said...

How was Quinn fired by JSU, dont start spreading lies and muddying the water. She is honest and hard working.

Anonymous said...

Interesting how these commenters come in waves to jump on Jonathan Lee. Agree that he is the best of the field.

Anonymous said...

No Quinn was not fired from Jackson State but asked to resign because the incoming president like any incoming administration desired to bring on her own senior administration including legal counsel. I know this because Dr. Meyers is quoted on the record saying this and is a Quinn supporter.

Anonymous said...

Obviously Dr. Meyers is a supporter. Supported Quinn right out the door because she didn't think that Quinn could do the job. As for Lee... he's obviously not honest and is certainly not man enough for this job.

Jonathan Lee is claiming just a lawsuit when it is a judgement by 4 companies he failed to answer any of the lawsuits as he was served notice 4 times. Judge Melvin Priester who granted each judgement against him filed a summons for him to show up April 4th, 2013. It was for a debtor/creditor meeting. By Jonathan's failure to answer any of his lawsuits he waived the rights of himself and his company to any defense of the suits. Simply stated he owes the money and is not in compliance with the law. What competent business man wouldn't at least take the time and attention to hire a business lawyer to look into these matters. Instead Jonathan is throwing his mother under the bus as he wouldn't appear on camera. Jonathan as late as last week prided himself of his successful business which he took over when his father died. The document he filed with the Secrtary of State Office CLEARLY shows he was PRESIDENT of the company on Oct 8, 2012. By Oct 8, 2012 all lawsuits had been filed while he was still the President of the company. Jonathan is trying to convince his big money donors he is one thing while he actually hasn't been who he has said he was and to be. It is time like another candidate did and come out front and discuss the real issues from the start. Days before the election he wants to spend tons of money on TV and Radio and it all has been lies. If in the past two days he had been honest and not lied in subsequent interviews/follow-ups he might have been able to save some pie in the face. He needs to bow out of the Mayor's race and take time and straighten out the numerous financial and legal issues he has and the over 100K plus dollars he owes.

Karma is an interesting topic I find from this article. Mr. Lee appears neither certain, willing to be certain, or forthright in his version of the stories. He needs to come forward to the voters of Jackson whom is he asking to represent. Mr. Lee has already contradicted himself in his interview and subsequent phone call back. Now to the part of Karma. It was interesting that a number of people said about Regina Quinn early that she does have past issues but she is being honest coming out of the gate. Since I met them both Regina has always stood out to me as someone that is honest, forthright, and forward moving. I am glad for once we have a candidate in a race that is willing to be honest before the job starts.

Pete Perry said...

11:42, I am sorry to say that Jonathan Lee is not a Republican. Wish he was, but frankly, he's not. He does seem to be more conservative and business minded than most Democrats, and he does have some Republican support. The fact that N. Cole is working for him doesn't transfer her allegiances to him.

I have met him once - over a year ago - and knew of him when he worked in the President's Office at "The" University of MS in Starkville (MSU) and btw I Heard nothing but good things about him from friends there.

But as to his political ties, afraid you can't demean him and say that he gave you dishonest answers when you use this for an example.

It's a three-man race into the runoff - Harvey, Chokwe and Jonathan Lee. Johnson has been leading the polls but Lee has been rising and Johnson falling somewhat. Johnson figures he can beat Chokwe in a runoff since NE Jackson will hold their noses and vote for him over the commie, so he's going to throw every lump of dirt he can find at Lee in the next two weeks. If Lee's got any political savvy at all, he'll fight fire with fire. Does Harvey even live in Jackson? How many millions has he steered to Garrett, Watkins and Begley while our roads, sewer and water system crumbled?

Anonymous said...

You think Harvey, or God forbid Chewe Bocca, are better? Business owners are sued all the time, miss filing deadlines, yada, yada, yada. Harvey's chief of staff had his gas cut off because he didn't pay his bills. Yep, let's keep them in office. Talk about people who can't handle their personal business.....

Anonymous said...

Garrett, Begley and Andrew Jenkins. Not Watkins. Jenkins has EVERYTHING directed through him. Look at the Iron Horse project. Guess who muscled his way in at the final days? JENKINS. Developers had to include him with NO skin in the game for the CITY to approve the project through the JRA.

I wish the city would be audited by the Auditor of our state.

Anonymous said...

How many millions has he steered to Garrett, Watkins ...

The odds that Lee uses Watkins as a campaign foil are about as long as the odds that Ben Allen would ever be elected Mayor of Jackson.

Anonymous said...

What is campaign foil? Tin hat stuff?

Anonymous said...

There's a lot of crooked shit that ain't gonna fly anymore when Lee is mayor. Harvey's boys better be scared.

Anonymous said...

Jonathan Lee, should get out of the race and use all his excess campaign money and pay these judgments, and stop throwing his mom under the bus.

Anonymous said...

lee is a puppet in a nice suit, northeast Jackson is counting on the rest of Jackson to not vote, looking for a low turnout and for the rest of the candidates to split the vote, Harvey won't even make the general, and just because lee signs are tree tall dont mean his votes will be. I am working hard to get the vote out for Regina, yard signs, canvassing, word of mouth, texting, emailing, facebooking etc, lee has the money but people still feel something dont add up!!!

Anonymous said...

Harvey is obviously desperate. Quinn is not even a factor with two personal bankruptcies and being fired from Jackson State. Jackson gets sued everyday and seems kind of hypocritical for Johnson to throw Lee under the bus for this. Its going to be Johnson and Lee in the runoff. Anybody can see that.

Anonymous said...

Haven't seen any polls but my guess would be that polling shows Chokwe a lock for the run-off and thus the smear of Lee.

Anonymous said...

In fact, the polling shows Johnson and Lee as the leaders with Lumumba a semi-distant third. Johnson's support has been consistent, Lee has steadily risen, and Lumumba cannot gain or lose support (and has no money anyway). Quinn is not a factor.

If Johnson can get Lumumba into the runoff instead of Lee, he wins. If Lee makes the runoff, Johnson loses (and Jackson wins).

Anonymous said...

Chockwe is no lock, all jacksonians are not radical. Harvey won't make it past the primary, Regina will get a majority and lee in a close second

Anonymous said...

I don't believe for a second that a Johnson vs Lee runoff will turn out to be a win for Lee. No way.

Anonymous said...

All the conspiracy theories against HJ accusing him of trying to smear Lee, are false. If you found Lee listed in the Judgment Book, what would you do? (HJ did NOT have anything to do with making public the Judgments.) But any honest citizen should believe the voters have a right to know the truth.

Anonymous said...

4:13. Harvey's negatives are off the charts. Lee wins easily.

Anonymous said...

4:35. Same for slimy Sam Begley? Is he clean too? He has 100,000 reasons to be for Harvey. Begley and Johnson are attached at the hip. Only an ignunt foo (or a liar) would think Johnson and Ladd are not all up in the middle of this.

Anonymous said...

I do not knw where anyone gets a poll that shows HJ leading. I heard one came out last week that, as usual, Had Lumumba leading. He has led in just about every poll that has been taken. Lee was second and Johnson third. This could be why the judgements were sent to the media.

Most of the posters here are not in touch withJackson.s black community. Lumumba is the overwhelming favorite in the black community and most people there do not believe either Lee or Johnson can beat him.

Anonymous said...

Why are all these lee backers trying to talk him up, he will lose its not enough of yall, yeah he has big signs and the money but that can't change the voters gut feelings about him.

Anonymous said...

Hey 9:20 dig 9:05. I really want to know where these brothers went to high school.

Anonymous said...

To 9:05. It is not that there are HJ haters in the black community. We are just tired of the indecision, cronyism, and lack of leadership coming from the mayor's office. Most of us do not hate HJ. We just believe it is time for a change. We know if Jackson is to grow it will take new leadership that is not bought by NE Jackson. It will take leadership that understands that all the mayor's power comes from all the people of Jackson. The only two viable candidates who seem to understand this is Lumumba and Quinn. Unfortunately, Quinn has not had the funds to get her message out to the people and that is why I believe Lumumba will be the next mayor of Jackson.

Anonymous said...

Look people, the bottom line here is the city of Jackson is facing some serious issues with the EPA mandates and other infrastructure issues that could exceed 1.5 billion dollars. Regardless of how you feel personally about the candidates for mayor, you need to make sure that the person that you vote for has the ability to address these issues. I asked a friend of mine why the white community is so apposed to Harvey Johnson and the response was simple: We can not get Harvey Johnson to do what we want. I asked him, are you saying that whites feel that if they elect one of the other candidates they will be able to regain control of the city and that is something that they can not accomplish under Harvey Johnson? His response was, that is the bottom line. They will never support Harvey Johnson because he will never allow them to control him and therefore regain control of the City of Jackson. I don't know if there is any truth to this but when I look, objectively, at the pool of candidates and their understanding of the issues and their ability to address theses issues, I just don't see anyone with the skills that matches those of the current mayor. Even with all of his short comings he took over a city that Frank Melton had destroyed and brought it back to financial respectability. How soon do people forget.

Now this comment is not meant to convince those of who will not vote for Harvey Johnson if he was the only candidate in the race, it designed to get you to look beyond your personal feelings and look at the reality of our city and the challenges that it is facing.

Anonymous said...

@1:15 - First, congratulations on showing much better command of the English language than any other Johnson supporter on here. (If "apposed" was a word, you'd have really done something.)

Sadly, your comment shows exactly what is wrong with Jackson and why the city is doomed. For you and your ilk, everything is racial, the election is about "control," and you believe that whites are voting to "regain control" of the city. Your mythical white friend story isn't convincing anyone.

There is no white effort to "regain control" of Jackson. Whites only scheme like that in your deluded imagination. NE Jackson wants their voices to be heard rather than completely ignored. That's not too much for Jackson's largest segment of the tax base to ask for. Your only interest is to "control" this cesspool of a city even if it means your tax base moves across the Pearl river or north of County Line Rd.

Take your own advice: "[L]ook beyond your personal feelings[,] and look at the reality of our city and the challenges that it is facing."

Its true that Regina don't have the money but her campaign has taken advantage of the grassroots method, neighborhood associations, churches, canvassing, phone banking, they have visited assisted living residents, had ice cream socials, word of mouth and once introduced people have been very open and receptive to her candidacy. People interpret chockwe with having a grassroots campaign because he's a community man but a lot of black jacksonians dont find him attractive, its those hood people who like him, the same hood folk who liked Melton.there are intelligent blacks in Jackson that dont trust lee and tired of Harvey and chockwe is to out in left field for them. This is where Regina Quinn steps in. She will be the dark horse in this race mark my words, I know a good number of people who are voting for he, I just recruited one about an hour ago who was going for Lee.

Anonymous said...

Well said 7:44. AA's, not all but many, think white people sit around all day scheming to keep the "black man down", and nothing could be further from the truth. All we want is a city that works, and shows leadership. I think back on Johnson's comments regarding an overlay district for the Jackson side of County Line Road (Ridgeland has already done this). He totally punted on this important notion, essentially welcoming check cashing joints, cash for gold joints, tattoo parlors and the like. Ridgeland, on the other side of CLR, stopped the proliferation of them in their tracks. NO LEADERSHP.

Anonymous said...

Can any.....ANY...Johnson or Quinn supporters post just ONE blog entry that is grammatically correct? Please...just one.

Anonymous said...

@7:44 and 8:56am Talk about racial. So quick to jump on a HJJ supporter for pointing out a subjective notion about NE Jax and HJJ, and ignoring the good reasons why none of the other candidates are even qualified to deal with the imposing issues facing Jackson over the next several years, including the mess NE Jax and Frank Melton got this City in during his reign of terror. Yet, it is crickets chirping from you when an obviously black poster says they want change because they think HJJ is bought by NE Jax. Wait which is it? Shows the ignorance of both of the tin foil hat crowds in Jackson - black and white.
And props to whatever campaign actually used the internet to find out Lee can't run a business. Seriously, if HJJ or Quinn are the only ones smart enough to do campaign op research then they probably are the best candidates. Although Quinn is clearly out of her league trying to be mayor.
A lot of sour grapes here trying to claim a default judgement is the same as a legal business dispute. Looks like the dispute was settled - and not in Lee's favor. "Help me momma... help!'

Watching Donna Ladd go bonkers during her obsession with all things Harvey is worth paying admission to. She doesn't realize (or care I can only guess) how transparent or silly she looks. She is the most obnoxious, irrelevant wanna be I can think of. Vote to "endorse the horses ass HJ" was 3 to 2 on her Ed board. Lumumba got the other 2. ROTFLMFAO!

HEY DONNA. SAM. PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HARVEY. HE IS A POMPOUS, DIVISIVE ASS. It is his own fault that after 12 years in office, he can count on one hand the civic leaders supporting him. He is the stupidest "smart guy" I have ever known.

In spite of you two, he goes DOWN this time around. Oh wait, Sam has some more smut up his sleeve, I am sure.

Anonymous said...

In case anyone wasted their time watching Lee's interview with the Clarion Ledger he again sat there and said, "I have run my father's company for the last 11 years. I know how to run a business." And the editorial staff just sat there and said nothing. Did he run it or not? He ran it... he ran it into the ground is more like it. He has some good ideas that may be plausable if the City Council could get on board, which they won't. You run as a succesful business owner, president, etc. and then it is shown in public records that you can't even defend youself in court resulting in a default judgement. Then you outright lie that it is a business dispute and you were not president anymore, that is not leadership. That is cowardice. All you need to know about who is responsible is when Preister hauled his a$$ into court to account for his personal wealth so the companies he's defaulted can get the money they are rightfully owed.
And no matter how many times you say "bandwidth" it doesn't make you smarter or qualified to run this City.
And please wipe the spittle off your keyboards before you try to paint me as some JFP neophite or Fondren lackey or FOSB (friend of Sam Bagely). I am none of the above. But, I've read enough on this site over the years to see so many of you fall all over yourselves to point out when someone is not fit to lead due to legal matters, bankruptcies, and other malfeasance that I am shocked that now it is your guy proving to be a failure and you can't stand it.

Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
