Ridgeland Police charged Mark Wayne Williams with exploitation of children on March 9.
Williams allegedly went to meet a 15 year-old boy only to find out otherwise when he arrived at the designated site. The Madison resident's bond is $75,000.

Madison County crime - the gift that keeps on giving the whole year round
nah. he's a church goer, sings in the choir, loves his mother... show him a blessing!
Well well well. Another perv bites the dust! Also refreshing to see our police going after some real criminals and adding value for all of the tax money we send to them.
15 will get you 20.
These chicken hawks never learn that it's almost always a trap on the web, but they are thinking with their little brain.
It is never good when they include your middle name in the news.
Doesn’t look like the type who would have a gang tat
$75k? Seems low for a predator.
Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am stuck in the middle with you.
I can't imagine the compulsion that these guys carry around inside, knowing full well that the odds of them eventually getting caught are high.
there is no cure for this. I once heard it explained it this way. Can you be counseled into becoming a pedo? for me and other non-pedos the answer is no. How can you be counceled into not being a pedo.
His Face Book page is interesting.
6:46----Good analogy, except not all pedophiles are child molesters or rapists, just like all heterosexual males are not rapists.
May he rot in hell with all of those that helped him cover it up.
"...except not all pedophiles are child molesters or rapists..."
Is there an alternative other than extreme frustration?
Any psychologist will tell you that extreme frustration will eventually lead to action, of one sort or another and that that which drives you will eventually conquer you.
He'll kill himself if he gets out--big Baptist showman.
He is not an (alleged) pedophile. By definition a pedophile is attracted to pre-pubescent children. A 15-year old boy is not pre-pubescent.
@10:41. Sounds like you think this is a good idea. Messing with a 15 year old is wrong.
It’s my understanding that he is/was a high up in the MDEQ.
What's your point, 10:41. There are also clinical terms for those who seek relationships with post-pubescent and older children. Would you be more comfortable if one of those terms were to be used or are you just here to split hairs?
He will get killed in prison. State or federal. I don’t know & I don’t care.
This is very devastating and although Mr. Williams consequences are just, it doesn’t justify all the judging and disgusting responses I’ve read. We are all sinners, so be careful of throwing those rocks.
10:06 - Recognizing and commenting on criminal behavior is not throwing rocks. Only a holier than thou zealot would find society's expectations disgusting.
Is this the same Mark Williams that was the Director of Solid Waste at MDEQ?
@12:11, it is the same Mark Williams…
If he is guilty, he should pay the price. However, I have known him a long time. He was always good to me.
“Only a holier than thou zealot would find society ‘s expectations disgusting”???? That literally makes no sense; but I’ll take a stab at responding. I am neither holier than thou nor a zealot. Society ‘s expectations disgusting - hmmm - Never did O mention that society’s expectations of someone or something was disgusting. I said, people judging and posting vitriol was disgusting. BIG difference. I expect grown adults to abstain from sexualizing or exploiting children - that’s disgusting. I hope xpect society to pray for all involved instead of throwing rocks - that he at would be my expectations of society in n situations such as these. Perhaps you need to re-read Matthew 1:1-4.
