The Flowood Police Department posted the following statement on social media.
On Friday, October 6, 2023, Flowood Police Officer Will Brantley was working his normal shift around 1:00 p.m. when a vehicle pulled into the median where he was parked. The female driver advised Officer Brantley that her 8-week-old baby was choking and could not breathe. Officer Brantley immediately stepped into action by performing life-preserving measures on the infant. Officer Brantley's actions cleared the infant’s airway, allowing the baby to breathe. The mother took the baby to a local hospital for further evaluation. Officer Brantley showed his true service to his community and what it means to protect and serve.

Good job, officer. Mom and baby were very lucky this officer had that training.
I cannot imagine the terror that Mom encountered and god bless this officer and their skills.
