Exhibit A: The film studio under construction at the old Metrocenter. WLBT reported:
What unfolded at the Metrocenter could be something seen on a movie set, but it’s all too real for a Jackson filmmaker encountering armed thieves while building his studio. Curtis Nichouls has been in some dangerous situations while constructing a home for his Sweet Unknown South Studios. The production company is overcoming obstacles while trying to transform the second floor of the Dillard’s building into Jackson Police offices and a classroom. “It’s been a lot. A lot of stuff got stolen,” said Sweet Unknown South CEO Curtis Nichouls. He continues renovations despite contending with armed thieves breaking into the building and stealing copper, cameras, drones, construction equipment, and more. The Jackson filmmaker is in the process of building sets, editing suites, and a first-floor full kitchen. He said Jackson Police informed him the Aryan Brotherhood was transporting the copper to Houston for a Mexican cartel. “It’s worth it for me. It’s not a situation where I’m scared. I didn’t even know they were the Ayran Brotherhood,” said Nichouls. “I just knew that they had guns, and they were stealing. They would come in with tools and cut their way through the doors, and they were stealing my equipment.”

Get out now, before some worse that a property crime occurs!
The AB at MetroCenter. Per JPD. Taking it to Houston for a Mexican cartel. Wow, sounds like a C movie script. Hmmmmm.
My name is Jeff.....
We all know that West Jackson has long been a hotbed for the Aryan Brotherhood.
I'm guessing there must be a least three Aryans living in West Jackson.
Has JPD told us about such Aryan Brotherhood crimes before? Why would burglars, even if pro thieves, carry heavy firepower for a theft, except to look menacing on camera? How can Studio Owner act so untouched and casual? Why are such expensive items stored in an unfinished space, during construction? Am I the only one suspicious that he's robbing himself of what his investors bought or other inside crime?
12:01 Dis you Columbo?
Come on now. This ain’t no grand plot of the AB smuggling 100ft of #12 copper to Houston for the Cartels ha. These are south jxn crackheads taking it to general recycling for a few hits.
Can you imagine?! The AB sets up shop in Jackson. All of a sudden we gotta bald white man sitting next to stokes at the meetings.
It's only a perception of armed thieves and gangs. Right?
@12:01 PM yes you are wrong to automatically assume this victim is a criminal because of his appearance.
Did you not see the security fotage and hear him say it was the Aryan Brotherhood? I also hear he is hiring Jussie Smollette for his next big production.
Nichouls should have called Chief Talkalot on his personal phone -- he actually answers it, you know -- and told him some damn illegal dumping was going on.
Aryan Brotherhood at Metrocenter? I smell an inside job or a coverup by JPD protecting their buddies.
That's hilarious. I know who that younger dirty looking white boy is, shown on this story on WLBT and he is definitely not Aryan Brotherhood. He's just a plain ole homeless drug addict living on the streets. The stories people will spin to fit their agenda never cease to amaze me.
Construction insurance policy?
My BS antennas just went erect
Theft in Jackson? Not a doubt in my mind. The Aryan Brotherhood, Jackson Chapter, committing armed robbery to steal a pickup-load of construction material - which had to be hand-carried out of a derelict mall - in an interstate conspiracy with a Mexican cartel, and to transport to Texas? A doubt! A doubt! Add me to what I'm sure will be a longer list of the dubious.
I can imagine the satellite phone wiretap transcript now...
"Um, Flaco, it's Hitler, Jr....bad news...the Feds busted the submarine. They got the entire 1000 kilos...."
"Fuck the drugs, what about my 20 sheets of drywall outta Jackson?! If they got that, people are gonna die!"
WLBT's story doesn't say when the theft occurred. It doesn't cite any police reports or independent police confirmation of the information provided by the production company. How was JPD supposedly able to determine the Arayan Brotherhood stole the equipment & that it was headed for a Mexican cartel without any arrests being made & seemingly on short notice? Especially when so many other crimes in Jackson go unsolved? Sounds suspicious.
But, you know, Liam Neeson WAS in town recently..... you never know what that BA is up to...!!! Probably all part of his saving Carmen from the cartel and a rogue SF unit who has a secret lair under the old Sears auto shop. Dayum. Right here in Jackson.
I smell either a lie out of JPD, or maybe insurance fraud.
Lumumba's people will say anything to lay the blame elsewhere
The Arayan Brotherhood working with Mexican drug cartels. Somebody is full of shit.
Which episode of the Sons of Anarchy was this?
I'm 12:01, good to see so many are also skeptical. Read the whole WLBT article, watch the video. The business Owner not only sounds calm and forgiving, but also says he's just gonna keep spending and says he is also going to fix the Ring Road and giant sink holes in parking lot. He may not know that the buckling, swelling and sinking all over Metro Center parking lots and roller-coaster Ring Road are likely due to Yazoo Blue Clay that should have been removed and replaced with engineered fill during original
construction. To do so now would cost several hundreds of thousands he cannot justify to his backers. Hence his tale grows in incredulity.
What’s the big deal with the Arayn Brotherhood? What about the severed head found on someone’s front porch and a burnt body discovered in the vicinity of Westland Plaza? JPD hasn’t solved this…MS-13 gang in Jackson?
Liam Neeson was in town shooting a movie about guns and snipers and all the things his two-faced liberal ass complains about the most, but makes his money on.
I doubt it was AB. More like Simon City Royals, there’s plenty of them meth heads around the MetroCenter area over to Clinton. They’ve been moving around stealing cars and stripping abandoned houses.
We all know there is a Rankin element living in Jackson committing lots of crimes, stealing copper and getting high.... Meth is a heck a drug
This sounds like some Bold New City bullshit. AB? Seriously? And since when do cartels does in scrap metal?
GTFO
Aryan Brotherhood? South Jackson crackheads? Seriously?!
My bet is on JPD.
Y’all need to lay off Liam. Dude will forever get a pass for being both Rob Roy and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.
Many astute comments here, none of which are in favor of 100% believing this dreamy (a la Smollet, per one above observer) movie studio owner who writes an episode, trailer park version, of Breaking Bad to explain a staged theft, then expands it to include Houston and a Mexican (Sinaloa?) Cartel. We want bikini clad, high heeled bimbos and lines of clean coke to believe his shit is good, which it ain't. What kinda sweet ass deal did Lamumba give him just to be outlined in chalk in an upcoming Cartel war?
This is one of KF's best stories to highlight from WLBT.
Only someone dumb enough to store valuables at the metro center would be dumb enough to think the aryan brotherhood is breaking into the metro center 🤣
Opening a business at the Metro Center and/or storing anything there...what could possibly go wrong?
Metro Center is beginning to be the bigger federal grant money suck than Farris Street.
Aside from all of the above, Cecil B. Debullshit's statements also indicate that JPD might not have quite the handle on crime it should. If Ol' Cecil is to be believed, the JPD's future offices were burgled by gun-toting racists stealing the plumbing at the behest of Mexican cartels, which also according to Cecil, the JPD was well-aware they were conspiring to do. If I were the JPD, I might want my people to have take a lunch with Cecil's people...
“He said Jackson Police informed him the Aryan Brotherhood was transporting the copper to Houston for a Mexican cartel.”
The Jackson Police said whaaaaaaat?
This is about as believable as the leprechaun sightings report on St. Paddy’s Day in Mobile years ago. “Who all seen the Aryan Brotherhood say yeah!”
@6:29 I was still in my 20's and lived in Mobile at that time and I remember. Kudos for reminding me about the Crichton Leprechaun and those better days!
Aryan Brotherhood has me shaking with laughter. From what I saw, there weren’t enough tats to warrant a call it was AB.
Next up on WLBT, Major businesses are returning to Jackson en masse as the murder rates plummet amid the mayor's push for gentrification of the Bold City...stay tuned for more stories that never happened.
Crime is down nationally and that's largely because of improved tools and equipment for law enforcement.
Sadly, that is not how our legislature or agencies choose to spend our tax dollars.
I suspect they are too worried about being " seen" when they are up to no good.
"Crime is down nationally..." Sez the Harris/Biden FBI with their cooked books motivated by an election year.
"Crime is down nationally..." Nope. Chowke's JPD just doesn't report their crime stats, like many other blue jurisdictions.
Crime stats skewed even more heavily than usual as national election approaches.
Buc-ee's better bring a small army with them when they start their takeover of the site.
Looks like we have another filmmaker with a race-hustling agenda, which is right up Chockwe's alley.
I wonder what kind of sweet deal he got to occupy that space.
It's clear to me, that those of you doubting the economic feasibility of transporting 100 feet of copper wire, to cartel members in Houston (or 4 sheets of drywall), have not watched enough Tyler Perry movies. You just haven't watched the right movies, and thus have not picked-up any financial savvy.
Consider 'The Family That Preys Together', in which the alluring 25-year-old COO leads the Cartwright's vast Atlanta construction empire to record-breaking profits, which results in the company's running out of money.
And if you'd watched 'Madea's Witness Protection', you'd know all about the international banking scene and organized crime. Nichouls, and JPD leaders, however, have done their homework, by watching the right movies.
See... if you greenteethrednecks only got some financial savvy, you'd understand the world of High Finance.
