Will the Mississippi Parole Board set yet another double-killer free?
David Moore killed Jackie and Julie Goodin in Madison County on October 8, 1996. Authorities found Jackie's body five days later and Julie's in June 1997 after an exhaustive search. A jury convicted Moore of murder in the two deaths and sentenced him to two life sentences in 2000.
Moore appealed his sentence but the Court of Appeals and Mississippi Supreme Court rejected the appeal. The newspaper articles posted below reveal the horrific history of Moore's crimes.
Kingfish note: The Parole Board should not just say no, but hell no. Unfortunately, this would not be the first time it has turned loose a double killer. Don't believe me? Check out this 2025 post.

If the family members sufficiently grease enough palms - yes.
Make anyone in my family look up at daisy roots and get parole in Hinds County I will Gary Plauché their whole family.
What an awful life he has led-
Maybe first KF you should check out the Mississippi laws as to what the Parole Board's responsibilities are, and how they are required -- by statute -- to make their decisions. If you don't like the results, first make sure whether they followed those laws or evaded them. If they actually did their job, as charged, then your anger and fit throwing should be aimed at those that pass the laws, not those that follow them.
Hey jackwagon, KF reports, you decide. Don't shoot the messenger.
Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to Be Killers
Song by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson
Killers ain't easy to love, and they're harder to hold
They'd rather give you a bullet than diamonds or gold
And each night begins a new killing day
If you don't understand him, and he don't die young
He'll probably just kill away
Mammas, don't let your babies grow up to be killers
Don't let 'em go to jail or drive them old trucks
Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such
Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be killers
'Cause they'll never stay home, and they're always alone
Even with someone they killed.
@9:45
I like Ranch dressing with a good word salad and next time add some protein
He was wrongly convicted his charge should have been thrown out. These victims were white and only had one black juror at trial. I’m sure they just prosecuted this guy so they could satisfy their rage. The real killer is still out there!
Wish they could just let his useless ass stay incarcerated. Not gonna be out doing society any good.
9:45, law provides the parole board with guidelines to use when considering parole. It’s not a set formula you can enter into an Excel spreadsheet and be told “parole” or “don’t parole”. They have a lot of leeway and it can be very subjective.
Thank God you are not on the parole board. On the other hand, you sound like an excellent option to house Mr Moore in your home while he readjusts to, and becomes a productive member of, polite society.
replace the truck with clapped out Dodge charger
It is left up to the family of the people killed to punish the man. When the law refuses to do the right thing it is time to do the job yourself.
