Madison police arrested Sherman Jenkins at Bruce Campbell field for drug dealing. Jenkins is the son of Bishop Thomas Jenkins. Bishop Jenkins is the chaplain for JPD and the Hinds County Sheriff's Office. Sherman Jenkins is being held without bond in the Madison County Detention Center.
JJ obtained Jenkins' arrest reports through public records requests. The Madison arrest report states that a Madison police officer arrested Jenkins for selling "less than two grams of a scheduled II controlled substance" on May 12 at Bruce Campbell Field. Madison police charged him with two counts of selling a controlled substance and two counts of conspiracy.
He is currently held without bond in the Madison County Detention Center because he was already free on bond when arrested. Ridgeland police arrested Jenkins on April 13 for possession of a controlled substance.
His father is the Chaplin for JPD and HCSO. His church's website states:
Bishop Thomas M. Jenkins volunteers as a Chaplain for both the Jackson Police Department and the Hinds County Sheriff Department. He has worked as a Chaplain since 1995 and has attended classes at the Miss. Law Enforcement Academy, Jackson Police Academy, and International Conference of Chaplains. He also holds a Certificate from LEAPS( Law Enforcement and Peer Support). Also, certified to teach ethics in Law Enforcement Academy.
Kingfish note: Lives in Richland, deals drugs in Madison and Ridgeland. Um, has anyone taught this dude how it's supposed to work if he's going to sell drugs around here?

This site is an instrument of Satan.
I don't get your point, KF. The heaviest demand for drugs is Madison and Ridgeland, where all the money is.
Thank goodness Satan is making sure we get all the facts and not swept under the carpet based on who you are or who you know....Hail senior Kingfish!
What is your fucking point? What does the fact his father volunteers as a Chaplain at JPD and Sheriff Department have to do with anything. You truly are scum, dragging the names of innocents thru the mud.
The charging documents say that it was heroin and meth. I don't think this reflects on his father. It seems like there's at least one in just about every family. That said, the facts that his father is a public official is newsworthy.
He's not a public official. He volunteers as a chaplain.
I feel for his father I hope that he can get his boy straightened out that has gotta be tough.
Sometimes a parent is mentioned, to reiterate that it can happen to anyone's family!
Stop playing dense PP. You know damn well what the point is. Finalize the deal in Hinds (and specifically Jackson) to exponentially improve your odds of not getting caught and to receive the lightest sentence possible if you do.
Mention parent of a 37 year old? For what reason? That anyone can be a drugdealer? Give me freakin break.
We should be thankful for people like his father. Volunteering to help our first responders. We should pray for his family as he has prayed for those that protect us all. His adult son has issues and needs help for what sounds like anon violent crime. Sounds like he found a market and/or the market found him. This has little to do if anything with the parents.
Does he tithe 10% of his proceeds from his enterprise?
12:42 Agreed
Campbell Field? What the hell was he doing at the airport? Don't tell me private jets are landing to do heroin deals! Then flying high to parts unknown. That would be insane!
The brain trust will soon learn that he won't get one of those "Hinds Blessings" in Madison Courts.
Bye, bye, (alleged) dope dealer.
At least the boy has shown a little initiative. He's out doing laissez faire capitalism at its most fundamental instead of hiding behind some vapid religiosity. One wonders why not just go all the way with the honorifics, why stop with "Bishop?" Why not "his holiness, Metropolitan of Jackson?"
Dope dealing is a step up from bullshit religion.
This POS was previously arrested in the subdivision where I live. There are many kids and teens here and an elementary school that adjoins the neighborhood. RPD finally caught him after reports of suspicious activity in the area, now MPD has busted his sorry ass. Hopefully he will be off the streets for a month or two.
This dude has been poisoning our community and hiding behind his dads connections for far to long. He was protected while in Hinds county while doing his Narcotics trafficking. His dad can’t shield him from justice in Rankin and Madison County.
Caught twice in less than a month. This guy has to be the worst drug dealer EVER! Official Mississippi Drug Dealer Handbook states,
RULE No. 1. DON’T GET CAUGHT
RULE No. 2. Don’t deal drugs in Rankin or Madison Counties
RULE No. 3. Read rules 1 and 2
RULE No.4. Focus your drug dealing in Hinds County, because either daddy will get you off, or if you end up in court you will get a "Hinds blessing."
I always joked that Bruce Campbell for any real drug kingpin would be an unguarded gold mine!! Just gotta pay off the right Madison county officials.
You should be ashamed to drag an innocent name, especially, when you do not have the facts... shame on you. Matter of fact, Fuck you to whoever/whomever posted this bullshit...
