McDaniel to Nosef: Tell clerks to hand over poll books.

The Chris McDaniel campaign just issued the following press release:

Laurel, MS - Republican Chris McDaniel today issued a statement calling on Mississippi GOP Chairman Joe Nosef to direct circuit clerks to cooperate with McDaniel volunteers seeking election data.

"I'm calling on the Mississippi GOP Chairman Joe Nosef to instruct circuit clerks to hand over the poll books for the June 3 Democratic primary election and the June 24 Republican primary runoff election to our agents promptly upon request," McDaniel said. "Circuit clerks should be instructed to be as helpful as possible to our volunteers as they check the poll books."

McDaniel concluded by saying, "We want to be clear: this is being done to maintain the integrity of the election process and that a fair and honest election was held on behalf of all Mississippians.

Reports of rampant irregularities in polling places across Mississippi cast into doubt the results of the Republican primary runoff election on June 24.

Could you PLEASE post more about JACKSON stories...I am tired of the BS stories and give the senate race up. You used to have quality post about JACKSON. Change the name to Mississippi Jambalaya if not.

Nosef better do it or they'll be in the courthouses tonight! Maybe the kooks want all the Circuit Clerks to leave the doors open for them too! Cochran won - get over it!

All counties or just the "Democratic" ones that Thad took. Will they be wearing those spiffy election integrity shirts too?

"calling on Mississippi GOP Chairman Joe Nosef to direct circuit clerks"

I realize it was the GOP primary, but circuit clerks don't work for the Republican or the Democratic Parties, last I checked. Does Nosef have some sort of authority here?

Anonymous said...

KF...just curious, how much authority does a party head have over an elected official, say a circuit clerk, to do anything?

Anonymous said...

What were the irregularities?

McDaniel is showing that he has no class and has a scorched earth strategy! Quit quoting Reagan because Reagan had CLASS and you have none! You were too young to remember but there was a large group of us in 1982 that were called "Boll Weevils" or "Reagan Democrats"...

Jim Craig said...

Does the chair of the Republican Party have the authority to "instruct circuit clerks to hand over the poll books for the June 3 Democratic primary election"?

Anonymous said...

For at least one of the people in the Tweet, he publicly posted name, address, date of birth and Social Security Number. Isn't that enough to steal identity?

Anonymous said...

So if some people mistakenly crossed over that previously voted democrat, what does that gain CM to prove it? He won't find 7,000 and even if he did you can't prove which way any of them voted. His best case is a new election, after all of the exclusionary talk and devisive tactics by CM just watch how many blacks come out and vote for Thad in a re do. CM has no chance except to become the next Al Gore.

Either the clerks hand them over or they are exposed as Tad's bitchez!

McDonalds needs to hand over their poll books too.

Anonymous said...

Wait, didn't all the NE Jackson white folks go vote for Jonathan Lee in the democratic primary a while back? What is the difference?

Anonymous said...

Probably voted Yarber too. I'm a white republican and I would have voted Yarber if I lived in the city limits. Should I voluntarily disenfranchise myself otherwise?

Anonymous said...

There are a number of voters who voted in primary as a Democrat and the voted Tuesday. Those votes are invalid. They were supposed to be turned away.

I have been watching the comments over the past few weeks. Some good, some petty but that's politics and SEC college football. Mississippians and not just Republicans need to consider an additional point regarding their Senate representation in DC.

Hopefully, Republicans regain control over the US Senate because Mr. Cochran will be the ranking republican member which translates to Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Most of you know this is the most powerful committee in the Senate and having a MS Senator leading is better for our state.

Like it or Lump it ... it is the truth.

I wonder if Tate Reeves is secretly funding CM to "fight the good fight" and ruin any chance that CM has to take on Tate in 2015.

Wasn't there a Democratic Runoff for the 3rd Congressional district on the same day as the Republican runoff for Senate? These pictures that Mr. Chucky C. Johnson keeps tweeting show that a democrat voted on both days. Why couldnt they have voted in the Democratic primary on June 3 and in the Democrat runoff on the 24th?

Anonymous said...

Those 3 probably voted for the petulant one

Anonymous said...

Tate will clean his clock, they will never see those numbers of voters again. He will never be given this much money to piss away again.
I would even wager he and his crew form the Senate will never be heard from again.

And never underestimate the stupidity of poll workers. Just ask anyone who's ever worked at a courthouse election night.

#1 Post -- It appears that we are looking at (possibly illegally) the Democratic Poll Book.

1. When I went in to vote, there were 2 tables, one Democratic for a primary runoff, and then the Republican Table. I had to go to the appropriate table to get the correct ballot.

2. I showed my ID and they went to my name, checked it off, and saw where I had voted before on 3 June.

3. There were PLENTY of people watching the process in my precinct. If I had not voted in the Republican primary on 3 June, I"m sure they had the option of checking with the other table, to ensure I had not voted in the Democratic 3 June election.

4. I would assume the process worked in reverse also, since the DEMOCRATS WERE RUNNING A RUNOFF TOO!

5. The poll book you are touting on the tweet from Chuck the Child who is sharing it illegally possibly to the world, is a Democratic polling book. LOOK AT THE TITLE ON THE TOP. It appears that the 3 people who voted "illegally" on 24 June per Chuck, actually had voted in the Democratic primary on 3 June and were back on the 24th, signing in to vote AGAIN DEMOCRATIC in the DEMOCRATIC runoff.

6. So......Chuck is looking at the vote and voter fraud for Chris.......maybe someone needs to train him on what he LOOKING FOR and LOOKING AT with regard to Democratic and Republican POLLING BOOKS.

7. One more glaring example of McDaniel incompetency if Chuck is their recount poster child.

AND YOU WONDER WHY WE JUST SHAKE OUR HEADS AND DISMISS YOU - IT'S YOUR ANTICS!!

McDaniels is heading toward oblivion. If he would have lost and did so with respect of the other candidate I really believe the State wide republicans in office would have let him off the mat but the more he fights and calls names the more his fellow legislators will try to put him completely out of politics. Also I cant wait for him to begin to challenge democratic votes. The entire democratic party and their boys in the nes will wipe him up. And if he challages even one black vote he will be labeled a racist and have to move to Alabama. If he wins and finds 7000 bad votes he will need all of thads people to win the general. his insults will cost him their votes. Its Lose,Lose,Lose,Lose for McDaniels.

I voted in south Jackson during the GOP primary and runoff this month.

No one was asking any questions or checking any records during the runoff to see if voters had already voted in the democrat primary.

If McDaniel could get the poll books, I bet he could easily find 7,000 illegal votes for Cochran. He might find that many in Hinds county alone, based on what I saw.

The Gumpsters who are calling for CM to simply go away like a gentleman and ease off into the background obviously do NOT understand that a man has a right to challenge election processes which he considers to be crooked.

Whether you believe it, agree with him or are simply one of Thad's bitches, the man has a right to challenge the election and a right to examine the process.

He risked his career and any chance at a political position. Yes, he's got my vote! He's what I want in Washington! Someone that can stand up for what he believes in with passion and wanting to do the right thing! and that's keeping CROOKS OUT! However, I am wondering can circuit clerks cook the books before they are checked? Will any time wasted give them time to "change" info? Don't put anything past anyone at this point as this will make them look pretty bad. 'splain that to me without name calling if you can. With a good ole' southern....THAAAAANKKKKSSSS !

In the first election, Madison County, a young friend voted for the first time, a lady met her at the door and guided her to the democratic booth to vote. She had no idea she was voting democrat until she read the ballot. When she walked off, someone from the other table ran after her and asked her if she mean to vote democrat. She said no, but it was too late. Just fyi.

Last time I voted for alderman (not this year) in Madison County (on Old Canton Road), I walked in and provided my name and someone had checked off my name like I already voted. They told me I could not vote. I threw a fit! Then they made me wait until they went through the books. Then they checked off another name similar to mine and erased the mark by my name so I could vote. Another interesting thing.... one of the people that was on the ballot was standing behind the table getting together paperwork. I don't like folks that are on the ballot to be inside (to eyeball me) to see which side I am voting for (dem or rep). Shouldn't this be illegal?? That person knew me and lives in my neighborhood but this is a personal thing and the folks running do not need to be inside "watching" or "acting" like they are processing paperwork. THis should not be legal.

Also, Tate showed his arrogant $%^ this go round and I know he can be stopped if we got the right guy. In reality all of the establishment showed their #$% this election.

A few yrs ago, my disabled mother voted in Madison County at the church off Old Canton Road and she could not get in because they did not have a disabled ramp on the side of the building that was opened (only stairs). The only way she could enter was blocked from the inside so we could not open the door. Soooo.... they had to bring a ballot to the car where my mom was sitting. A woman stood there and watched my mom as she made her marks then she didn't know how to handle the envelope or what to do with it. She went back inside and brought back and elderly gentlemen and he told her what to do, but they took the envelope (NOT SEALED) back inside with them. I wasn't thinking I guess and trusted them to do the right thing. They need to be more knowledgeable about this process.

A long shot for sure, but the best CM can hope for is a new election. No matter what he "finds" nobody knows who the vote went to. It's a secret ballot. The election is either certified or it's thrown out. And in a redo I would expect Thad to do even better because it will get turned into a huge race thing. It's no win for CM except for all the self promotion for his future radical talk show. Stupid sheep

Madison County has had my dad's name in their voting books since 2005. They will not remove him unless I drive to Madison County Courthouse and give them a certificate of death (in person). Like I have time to drive to Canton.... please.

Anonymous said...

First of all..help me understand why this can not be done: Two books (dem and rep) one for each table - do they have the same names listed in each one? If so, why can't they copy the database into a new report (from the 1st election) and add a field with an "x" of all those that voted. Then scrub the data to remove the names that did not vote (do this for each party). Then run a cross-reference report and program it to flag the ones that weren't listed on the first report. The data is there, they will not have to reenter anything...just manpower to add the field mark and that's it. The cross reference report can produce a new report with problem votes. Does this make sense?

Anonymous said...

It doesn't matter that we won't know how people voted. If they voted illegally, in sufficient numbers, the whole election can be thrown out and a new one ordered. Of course Delbert ain't got time, energy or desire to pursue this as he's a Thad water-toter.

The whole thing, as distasteful as it is, reminds me that all politicians are whores, selling their souls for cash and votes.

What a moron! There are laws about how to contest an election, how to submit a request to view the ballot boxes or poll books, etc. Too bad Chris McDaniel's doesn't know any real lawyers. You don't write a letter to the state party chairman. The state party has nothing to do with the election results until they arrive certified by the county committees. The operation of the primary between certifying the ballot and certifying the state returns is all done by the counties.

Anonymous said...

Twitter bro's photo doesn't make sense. Where are the Republican primary poll books and who voted in them?

Milteer said...

McDaniels hasn't complained about the Democrats who voted for HIM because they thought he'd be an easier mark for Childers in the general election.

Anonymous said...

The votes are not illegal. Voters who voted in the Democratic primary could have been challenged if they tried to vote in the Republican runoff, but if they were not challenged, their votes are legal. The Democratic poll books were there for poll workers and poll watchers to check. If they didn't it is because they were not trained very well.

Anonymous said...

KF, do you have any idea why McDaniel is doing this?

You know how elections are run and this paranoia is awfully bizarre especially coming from a candidate who apparently understood the law well enough to get a clerkship and who has already run for office.

I voted in Hinds County and the poll workers checked to make sure first of my ID, then that I'd voted in the first primary as a Republican. When they saw I did, they handed me a ballot.

This primary had the most careful vote checking I've ever seen in MS.

I worked on campaigns for both Republicans and Democrats in the past as well.

What everyone is complaining about is called " getting out the vote" . And , yes, preachers black and white offer to help with that in every election. No doubt McDaniel had preachers offering to transport supporters to their precinct.

Crossover voting happens in every election.

McDaniel has to know all this so what gives? Why is he inflaming his supporters?

McDaniel was on Hannity and I gritted my teeth and watched.................he is making us a laughing stock.

If he really cared about Mississippi, he would stop this "anger/whining" tour. LIES LIES LIES came out of his mouth. At no time did he mention the ugly lies he and his group used to attack Cochran. Nothing about Kay Webber, the nursing home felonies, the Hinds County 2:00 a.m. entrance, #WhosYoDaddy, "poll Watchers", etc. When he mentioned being on the receiving end of CHARACTER ASSASSINATIONS he just failed to mention how he and his ilk did unsavory things on their side. It was disgusting and one more time, we saw the true reflection of McDaniel and those surrounding him.

This is all about Chris -- national media attention, stretching his 15 minutes of fame out as long as he can. He is an embarrassment to himself, and the state of Mississippi.

At what point, are you McDanielites going to realize just how desperate and disgusting you look?

Honey Boo Boo meets the GOP, and he's letting Hannity carry his water. Hannity has made no effort to educate himself on ALL the issues of this election, and is giving this fool face time nationally.

Can someone answer this question that just occurred to me?

I am registered as an independent (i.e., neither Democrat or Republican). I voted in the Republican primary and the runoff. Both times I had to produce a photo ID and verify my address.

Was my name also listed in the Democratic book, at least the first election a month ago? I can see real confusion if all names are listed in both parties books, making an accident or election fraud possible. If I had tried to vote in the Democratic runoff, would their book just look like I had not voted at all last month?

I realize anyone can vote in an open primary situation, but would the poll workers have a list of who voted in the other party's primary originally?

Actually, Mississippi is standing up to it's reputation; on ALL sides. When is the Republican Party going to wake up in this state and realize, things change. I'm glad that we didn't make the mistake of letting someone like Chris represent MS on the national scene.

McDaniel is doing this wrong. A write in candidacy will never win. If he was smart, he would get Childers to promise two things: Vote for whomever the republicans put up for Senate leader and actively work to defund/repeal/replace Obamacare. If Childers agrees to that, McDaniel should throw his support behind him.

Childers already has the same moral/church crowd values. He just needs to appeal to independents/libertarians that McDaniel had.

If Haley was willing to split the baby to get his man in office, McDaniel should deliver it gift wrapped in Cochran's hide at his doorstep.

@ 8:11 Because the funding of Obamacare was part of the budget that Harry Reid would only allow the Senate to vote on. Not voting on that budget would have shut down the government including SS payments. Cochran has filed and supported numerous bills to try to stop Obamacare.

Everyone is losing focus; the real villian is Harry Reid who has run roughshod over the Senate and the Democratic process. We should be doing whatever we can to make sure the Republicans are in the majority so he is not the Majority Leader.

Anonymous said...

8:11 am, you really need to understand how voting works in the Senate.

Cochran voted against Obamacare over and over, voted to repeal Obamacare as well.

You are clinging to a " de facto" closure vote on Obamacare once the game was over.

I know the concept of not tilting at windmills and not pissing off people you work with for no good purpose is foreign to you.

But, sometimes you can take a benign action on a lost battle to enlist more support for a battle you can win or to get at least a few concessions on a bill that will pass anyway.

Please try to be better informed .

Details matter when it comes to how both state and federal representatives and senators vote.

You'll continue to have the wool pulled over your eyes until you spend time figuring out how the legislative process works.

He did vote to raise the debt ceiling and he voted for a tax increase at one point as well. That's it. Deal with it.

Anonymous said...

9:02 -- McDaniel voters don't let facts get in the way of good rhetoric.

Even though everything you say is valid, they'll ignore that and latch onto "funding" as the operative word, not understanding the chaos that would have really developed had the government shut down fully and completely. Obamacare was ONE component of that entire bill, and with Reid's leadership, there were no options about carving it out since REPUBLICANS WERE THE MINORITY. Economics 101 is not their strength.

They are truly the "can't see the forest for the trees" people. So caught up in their own chaos here locally, they cannot understand the bigger picture.

Telling them the facts that Reid is their enemy and that Cochran voted over 50 times to repeal Obamacare (and lost based on being in the MINORITY) doesn't matter to them --- they want "REVENGE".

If McDaniel was the true leader, he touts himself to be, he'd shut this down -- but of course, leadership is a trait he lacks!

That is the only logical step @9:02. Logic has been lost, but Cochran is a conservative and has proven it thousands of times.

The vote to fund Obamacare was a formality. He voted many times against the original measure. Conservatives are letting political talking points and emotion split the party.

Not voting on that budget would have shut down the government including SS payments.

NOPE.

McDaniel hasn't complained about the Democrats who voted for HIM because they thought he'd be an easier mark for Childers in the general election.

Cochran up 12 in first Rasmussen poll just released, taken June 25-26. 46-34, with 10% supporting someone else (poll didn't say and 9% undecided. Lead will only grow for Thad.

Anonymous said...

The vote to fund Obamacare was part of the Omnibus budget bill that passed the Republican controlled House as well.

I'd like to see all these Tea Party/Libertarian types tell us what they want to see cut if their dream of ending federal dollars in MS came true. The talk a lot, but if what they say they want actually happened we'd be a third-world country.

1a. What number on the picture are you calling a SSN? the 9-digit numbers I see are sequential ID numbers, not SSN's.
1b. Where are the Dates of Birth? They look redacted to me.
2. The reason it is a Dem poll book is because for a Republican runoff, the Repub side uses the Dem book to screen out Dems that voted in 1st primary-per state law they are not allowed to vote in Rep runoff if they voted in Dem primary.
3. What was the Dem runoff in this particular precint (Hinds County Primary).
4. Why should CM gracefully exit from this investigation? Does the Cochran Campaign and "Thad supporters" have something to hide?
5. To Anonymous that wrote "What were the irregularities?" Please refrain from exhibiting your (a) stupidity or (b) disingenuity
6. "McDaniel showing he has no class"--compared to what? Conhran's Campaign and "supporters"?
7. "McDaniel is losing votes by the minute..."?? Why-because you don't like him? For all you know, he's gaining 5 votes for everyone you claim he's losing.
8. What a bunch of a$$hats-I'm going away and forgetting this ghetto website.

Have not heard anything from the McDaniel camp concerning Mayfield's suicide. I guess they are too busy counting votes.

Anonymous said...

Hmmm interesting. I thought now that we have voter ID we would be free from these voter irregularities. I respect a gracious loser and hold them in much higher regard than a grown man having temper tantrum because he didn't get his way.

YO! KF! Enlighten us about Mitzi Bickers, pastor (?) at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Atlanta. She is getting credit for being the source behind the dirty politics that pulled Uncle Thaddeus across the finish line by invoking the KKK and such to stir the blacks up.

12:09 --- we are all relieved you are leaving, and are holding the door open for you to exit.

go Chris! hey if anyone has the balls and that would risk everything I want this man representing Mississippi! he is my man run for president Chris!

Anonymous said...

1:58 -- would you like to follow that comment up with "hey dude"????

Also-- he's risking nothing, and feels he has everything to gain --- attention, national media spotlight, etc. He's basking in this, and to think he isn't, makes you the fool.

If McDaniel voters think this act is for all of you (the little people) you are sadly mistaken. The true stripes of your candidate are starting to show, and to wear thin!

12:09 pm Do you promise to go away and never come back?

Yippee! The average IQ of bloggers just went up 10 points!

Senator Childers.

Thanks HB.

It's getting hard to distinguish the establishment GOP'ers here from run-of-the-mill donkeycrats, what with all of the name calling and racial slurs being thrown around. They sure are an unhappy bunch considering they just won an election.

June 27, 2014 at 8:20 AM,

Please read my comment and to what I was commenting about.

If you just want to say something completely irrelevant to what the comments were about, then let's note that, since you addressed me directly as if your comment had any reference to mine.

June 27, 2014 at 11:51 AM,

Please tell the class what YOU would like to see cut.

Or, do you support the continued astronomical growth and inreach of our government?

Please try to comprehend just how much $2.8 Trillion dollars is. Removing the money out of the economy in the form of taxes simply removes rungs of the ladder to success. Some people do not want to climb and will never climb. Some do, but when you remove their ability with excess taxation and overbearing regulation, then all those "pull up by the bootstaps" people don't exist.

There is a very defined reason why the top percentage and the lower percentage has grown while the middle class has shrunk. It's "taxes stupid".

Rickey Cole is trying to stoke the fire today.

There is a difference between winning an election and winning your base.

This "win" will likely galvanize the movement towards a more conservative "Just Say No to government" Republican Party.

The mere fact that someone as difficult as McDaniel was able to uproot many voters from supporting the poster child for term limits is the writing on the wall.

Look around you, folks. You are now expected to serve your government, not your government serve and protect you. Everything you do with relation to your government is from the standpoint that you are assumed to be a criminal. Even as I am a supporter of VoterID, I realize just what it is, being another aspect of where one is assumed to be a cheater, crook, etc.

Chris McDaniel posted a statement earlier today on his FBook page, to the person saying he didn't make a statement.

Anonymous said...

McDaniel needs to prove the 35,000 democratic voter number that he claims voted ILLEGALLY for Thad. Just Prove it.
I know one that voted for Chris McDaniel. Its Kim Wade.

I'm not 11:51 am but I can start.
I'd eliminate the REA.
I'd stop federal dollars going to churches UNLESS they could prove their programs are effective.
I'd close military bases that are not contributing enough to local economies to make them cost effective.
I'd vote against any funding for military equipment the military doesn't want.
I would make Social Security again eligible ONLY to those who paid in and their spouses so the program could go again.( I would grandfather current SI recipients)
I would set a cap on government payments to a single individual in a month.
I'd review all tax credits and subsidies to see which ones stimulate the economy or serve good purpose.
I'd campaign for zero base budgeting and line item vetoes.

I would do drug purchasing like every other country in the world and reform Medicare and Medicaid to conform with that.

I'd further reform welfare so that AFDC requires mandatory birth control after the first child ( grandfather those currently on but limit them to existing children).

So what's your plan?

I was a Cochran voter, but does anyone know anything about Democratic claims that they have evidence of voter fraud in Hinds County? It seems to relate to whether poll books were shared between the parties as they should have been in order to prevent Democratic primary voters from voting in the Republican runoff. I would love for Kingfish or someone else to cover the topic as I can only find the information on Breitbart.com and am wondering if it's accurate. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/06/27/McDaniel-Rushes-To-Review-Ballots-From-Tuesday-s-Election.

6:16 6/26. "The only accurate commenter here wrote:

There are a number of voters who voted in primary as a Democrat and then voted Tuesday. Those votes are invalid. They were supposed to be turned away."

Do you know that there were a number of voters that did so? If so, where? What county? How many? How do you know that they did? The McDaniel campaign is claiming that they did, but their numbers are idiotic! They say 190 did in one Jackson box, but there were only 23 democrat votes in that box on June 3. Too bad their math just flat out doesn't work.

But I realize both of you probably don't let facts get in the way of a good McDaniel storyline. The Teflon has worn off now though - all your crap is beginning to stick. Finally.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
